Helix Native
This Helix platform is great. The support and updates from line 6 have only made this plugin better and better. This along with my morning-star MC 8 midi foot controller and mission EP-1 expression pedal is the ultimate rig. There are no sounds the helix cant get. This is a one stop shop for guitar and bass needs. Works great in Logic Pro X.
Came from Guitar Rig 5 - Now Using Helix Native
I am very happy with the sounds I'm getting from Helix Native. For those coming from Guitar Rig 5 (like I was), I think you'll be very happy with the Helix emulations. They sound much better to my ears.
Buy it
Some this plugin is maybe the only one you will need for guitar work on a DAW. Plug in direct, and you can remap your tone in the mix at will. This is game changing power. Combine this with the fact that it's 100% preset and sonically identical to the Helix and I'm in heaven.
Perfect for on the go studio work
I travel a lot for work, and it's too much of a hassle to bring my helix rack with me. I keep a focusrite scarlett solo in my guitar case so I can record DI tracks and use Native as I please, and it's also amazing for revamping dry tracks. Before this, I used Pod Farm platinum, and while it got the job done, it just didn't sound as good as I wanted it to. My biggest complaint about Native is the lack of a tuner, but most DAW's have a tuner plugin, so it's not a big issue. Highly recommended for any guitarist/bassist, it's super easy to tweak your sound on the fly while listening to your guitars in the context of the mix you're working on
Helix native
Just plain and simple love everything you have at sweetwater hoping with the best intentions to eventually own the PRS I've always wanted your selection on ever item is in apt on down to everything you'll ever need to know thanks Tim Bielski… thanks again everyone there .
Great Software
I love this software. It is the quality sound engine from the helix on your computer, in a rather inexpensive format compared to what you"re getting.
Makes "re-amping" a dream
I've been gigging with Line6 floor units since they were first introduced. I now have the Helix Floor. Great unit.
In my home studio I've been using my Helix Floor to record all electric guitar and bass tracks. Works great. Now with Helix Native I record my processed sound from the Helix Floor AND record a straight unprocessed guitar signal to separate track. Then I re-amp the unprocessed track thru the Native plugin. I can import the *.hlx patch I used on the floor unit into Native so the re-amped chain is exactly the same. Then while I'm not concentrating on playing I can experiment with different amps, processors, etc. If I find something that works better I can export the *.hlx file from Native back to the Floor unit for gigging.
The DAW automation options in Native are just a bonus and really expand the usability of this plugin.
If you have a Helix Floor or rack and are into home studio recording buying Native is a no brainer.
Helix Native M1 Mac
It works, but slow on M1 Mac…Big Sur, hopefully Line 6 will fix this as always with an Update…other than that the software is excellent…I have it on M1 Mac mini-8G 512K SSD..
