Radial Headlight 4-output Guitar Amp Selector Pedal Reviews
Guitarists — how would you like to switch between four amps without unplugging a single cable or pedal? The Radial Headlight guitar amp selector toggles and stacks amps to provide all the experimentation you can handle. Radial's Class-A input buffer preserves the natural tone of your guitar, while a Drag control lets you re-create the response of plugging directly into an amp. Toggling occurs via a single switch to avoid overcomplication. A separate switch either mutes all signals between studio takes or serves as an ABY to stack two amps onstage. Even better, the Radial Headlight powers up with a standard 9V power supply for easy integration onto a pedalboard.

Creates incredible tone
This has two uses. First is to have 4 amps use the same signal chain and second is to use 4 amps simultaneously. Having four amps active at the same time allows me to sculpt my tone in ways I never thought possible. I can't imagine trying to haul and set up 4 amps at a gig so this pedal stays in my studio. To record this wall of sound I use one stereo pair and another single mike. Placement is key because of harmonic cancellation and embellishment. This is a great tool for people with several amps who would like an easy and creative way to use them individually and as a group.
5 Star all the way
This amp switcher is the best I've come across. First off, it's affordable and compact. It fits perfect on my Boss pedal board. Very low noise and no drop off that I notice. I have a VH-2, a 5150 Stealth, a Badlander 100, and a JP2C+ connected to the 4 channels. Also, Mesa oversized cabinets for each head. I don't play professionally, but it sure is nice to stomp a switch to change amps without having to get up and pull/switch speaker cables. Another great product from Sweetwater.
Exactly what I wanted
I have to say I didnt think this piece was in existance. I am a retired guitarist who plays at home but am used to the volumes and tones of a live setup. Youre not getting those tones out of one amp at bedroom levels. This allows you to have up to 4 amps on at once and what a difference it is. One huge lush sound at bedroom levels. Who'da thunk it?.....lol Solid build and of course I have the best salesman in Sweetwater aka Randy Poteete. Another great purchase from Sweetwater!!!!
4 amps
if you do a wet dry dry wet this works BUT you will need another switch for pedals and route them like a voodoo lab pcm or a Disaster area they both work great this is the only floor modal i found everything else is rack this works great
Great Product
Just got this pedal to run as an ABY in a wet/dry set-up and/or to keep all my amps set-up while in my music den for easy switching b/w them. Really impressed with it. No tone suck, built like a tank and does what it claims to do (ground lift, phase reversal, etc.), plus it's from Canada, just like me! Highly recommend...A++
Perfect
Radial is one of those companies that I look at first when I have some grandiose idea about the perfect recording or live rig. "I bet radial makes something like this." And they usually do.
I use this box to record. My guitar goes to a splitter, one for the direct, one to the amp selector. From the amp selector to two amps. And of course I hook my boss tuner up to the buffered circuit, because radial thought of that. It works amazingly well!
You"ve got wet/dry, or just the color of two amps distorted or clean to bring the magic that isn"t always easy to replicate outside of a studio. And the direct signal is always available for reamping (thru another radial product). I haven"t even begun to explore the full range of possibilities, but this machine is quiet as a mouse. It will work wonders for a live setup with multiple amps.
Well made
This is the perfect solution for my studio setup. When I'm not sure which tone I want I simply switch through until I like what I hear.....or record all 4 (or 5 if you include tuner out)!!! The mute switch is very useful as well. Not impressed, however, by the lack of instruction with the "drag" feature. Very vague.
Great piece of kit.
