It's okay however the tighten knobs is not that strong if you got to lean on it for any reason.

I like ultimate gear. I have had two of these for about a year. These are terrible for traveling musicians, as the tightening/locking mechanism is not possible to get as tight as you would need and feel secure with without pliers or similar. So I thought, I will just use these in the permanent venue gig instead of my travel gear. They constantly slip and are too painful to tweak. I am search for something new and will chuck these as far as I can throw them. - Chris

It holds my Macbook Air ok but I find myself tilting it back up a couple times a night.

It's difficult to get it tight enough to support a laptop. The tightening screws finally failed . . . and it didn't take a long time.

Every 15 minutes have to readjust. I'm very disappointed, esp with the price!

I'm a huge fan of the Ultimate Support brand, and although this laptop stand is okay in some ways, it won't hold up in the long run.

The stand itself is solid and is made out of quality materials, as most if not all Ultimate Support products are. The reason this product is flawed is due to the locking mechanism. The stand locks by twisting knobs on the right hand side of it until tightened enough to hold a laptop. I am a working DJ with a 13" Macbook Pro, and this stand cannot hold the computer in its place for a 4 hour set.

If you have a laptop that's any heavier than mine, the stand will definitely not hold up. I found myself having to readjust the stand every 20-30 minutes during my sets because the grip kept coming loose and lowering the laptop to the point of it possibly falling onto my turntable had I let it be. For the price tag... this should not be an issue and this stand should be designed much better. It seems that the cost of this stand correlates with the quality of the material used and not so much with the functionality, which essentially makes it a great paper weight.
