My brother who has a tone and style like stuart duncan plays this Helix direct with his fiddle in his working country band and he's got great natural tone out of it. I'm convinced this is worth the money based on from what I've heard live. He's had this unit for about eight years and it is rocksolid. Never one problem with it. This must be a great unit. I'm torn between that and aqua cortex. They're coming out with some updated stuff with helix that's supposed to be announced this month so we'll see.

This is an incredible modeler if you don't need a crazy signal chain. It fits into a regular pedalboard too.

Dual paths, flexible i/o, plenty of dsp for most rigs.

The stomp has so much going for it. It can be your pedal board for about any sound configuration you can think of, and has a built in looper, plus it replicates so many cabs and amps and they all sound great, meaning you can carry just this one little box and use it anywhere you play or gig and sound great. You can use it with an amp, use it on your PC with monitors, headphones, or plug into a sound system at church or club. Every pedal combo you can think of is packed inside this little box. It's easy to navigate around, and there are many ways to customize what you see, and how the buttons react. That's the first part. In addition to these fantastic items, it has the ability to be a pretty good DAW, meaning you can do your recording, with guitar, bass, keyboard, with midi control, and you can use mics! You need an attenuator to get the mic to work at the correct signal strength, but it works well. You can also add expression pedals (2 with tsr, or 1 with 2 different settings such as on/off and adjust), and you can record stereo inputs as well so if you have a guitar with two plugs, etc. I can't say enough good things. Small package that really can do it all. Did I mention you can use your pedals with it too? If you have been looking for a small effects box with tons of options, this is it!

The HX stomp is the perfect gateway into the Helix family. I have been sorely tempted to leave my clunky pedalboard at home more and more and just bring this along with me. Great value and a great addition to any musicians arsenal.

I've owned plenty of Line 6 products in the past from rack units to stomp boxes but never got into anything from the Helix lineup. Looking for a super compact alternative to my Kemper lead me this direction and I must say I'm quite impressed. Is it the same as the Kemper well no, this is a modeler vs a profiler but the sound quality and flexibility of this compact pedal is astounding. It's just the right size to keep on my mixing desk for capturing quick ideas and often times the sounds are good enough to make it to the final mix. Also the sound is great for live and works well with just about any amp so it's a great option as a fly rig.

Adicionalmente pude obtener una licencia gratuita del software Helix Native para desktop que tiene todo el poder de Helix y las posibilidades creativas son prácticamente ilimitadas. Tiene la capacidad de funcionar con 2 guitarras o una guitarra y bajo simultáneamente lo cual es una función muy práctica. Yo no tengo pedales pero para quienes tienen amplificadores y pedales, el HX Stomp puede ser un complemento ideal y permite su integración para que puedan seguir utilizando lo que tienen. Siempre me inclino por lo práctico y fácil de transportar. Tengo un amplificador Orange Terror Stamp y se puede complementar con el HX Stomp solamente como multiefectos. Me encantan sus sonidos bien sea como multiefectos o como todo en uno.

I mostly play at church...contemporary worship (I.e. Bethel, Elevation, Hillsong). I'm using the HX Stomp with a few other pedals and a Tele with Lollar pickups. I downloaded a preset pack from MBritt. My tone has never been this full and rich. I was nervous to sell my amp and go this route, but all that hesitation was gone the first time I plugged into the system at church. It sounds amazing.
I'm not proficient at building presets, so I highly recommend the MBritt download.

Just received my HX Stomp today and couldn’t be happier. My main instrument is bass but I play guitar as well. This pedal is great for both. I like having the ability to access a ton of quality effects without having to own each pedal individually. I haven’t recorded with this unit yet but from what I’ve read it works well. My man Mike Lombardo helped me with ordering this. Made the process so easy and even gave me some good patch cable recommendations. So thank you Mike and Sweetwater, you guys are the best!
