Meinl Percussion Benny Greb Sand Hi-Hat Tambourine
Meinl Percussion Benny Greb Sand Hi-Hat Tambourine Reviews
Get really cool vintage tambourine tone with the Benny Greb Sand Hi-Hat Tambourine. This beautifully designed tambourine features eight pairs of sand-blasted brass jingles that produce a nice "dry" classic sound — ideal for adding just a splash of unique tone that a tambourine brings to any song. The Benny Greb mounts easily onto a hi-hat rod or directly onto the cymbal and is a favorite among drummers here at Sweetwater.

Great addition to the hi-hat stand, lets you play open or closed, a must have. Way to go Meinl. Meinl Tambourine Rocks!
The right Ching
I was looking for an alternative to the overly bright steel sound. Tried it out after receiving it from Sweetwater and really like the sound and the feel that it provides. Recently had a recording session where I used it on a couple of songs. It's dry and adds the exact amount of articulation and high end that I wanted. Very very happy with the purchase.
Low Volume
I agree with the previous review, it would be good possibly for studio but for live sound it's too soft… You have to really stomp on the Hi-Hat To get any volume. It would not be good in any live situation
The positive was I sent it back able to get a full refund, thank you Sweetwater…
No Sound
Whatever subtle sound this would add is drowned out by the lightest chick of one's hihat cymbals. A complete waste of money.
