I've owned a lot of drum stools and this one is the best for me. With sacroiliac joint problems it helps my lower back. I like the fact that it feels like you are sitting on a shock absorber. If you have some back problems and can try one out it might help.

Best throne I ever used. I love it. I never thought I cared that much about thrones until I coughed up the money for this guy. I feel so stable yet comfortable and the hydraulics make it easy to adjust quickly on the fly. On top of that I can sit really high which I like as a taller drummer. The money is the only reason to consider another throne but if you have the money for this throne then buy it. You will love it.

I thought the tractor saddle type thrones were the best untill this.

It came with a couple screws loose wich caused the support to slip a bit damaging the signature sticker. However no permanente damage ocurred and that doesn't change the fact that this is an excellent throne to comfortably practice or play the drums for hours.

So when I wanted to get a good drum throne I went back and forth about whether to buy a bicycle style or a round style seat. I ended up going bicycle but I am firmly convinced the round style is the better choice for my playing style. But there are a lot of round thrones. Soft, firm.

What I have discovered is me being heavier, a softer seat feels better at first but I get hot spots and it starts to hurt. The tama first chair round rider xl is my goldilocks throne. It has the perfect amount of firmness that after sitting on it a few minutes the foam cradles you and supports you right where you need it. And I find I am much better positioned on this throne. I don't feel I am leaning backward or forward.

The overall quality of the throne is better than anything I have recently used and I have tried quite a few top tier thrones ranging from $100 - 250. . The oversized feet combined with the superb seat clamp that attaches to the hydraulix base make this the only choice that really makes sense.

Just got my new throne I am blown away by it .
Heavy duty very good hardware and very comfortable.
Should have bought one a long time ago tama makes some of the best stuff out there well worth the money. Thank you Delvin wolf for all all of your help
