The Yamaha HS5i features mounting points on four surfaces for quick an easy installations.
Impressive monitors
I bought these to replace aging Yorkville YSM1's. I love those monitors, but one developed a noise at high volume that I can't get rid of. I expected the Yamahas to sound about the same since they are both studio monitors, but there is a clear difference, and the HS5's will be used side by side with the YSM's. I was looking for passive monitors again, but I'm glad I finally tried the current technology of active monitors. The clarity and detail is far greater than with the Yorkvilles, and I am very happy with the sound. The build quality appears to be quite good, too. Others have commented on the need for a subwoofer, but I already had one. Even without the sub, the bass is pretty decent - surprisingly so. With the sub, the sound is perfect for my purposes.
