These things are LOUD. Sound quality at full tilt hasn't been disturbed either. Rap, RNB, rock, you name it they take it in stride. I added these under my monitors at work and it's like having a PA in the office. Bass is a little lacking but this is due to overall driver size. If you want super lows, add a sub. Overall they check every box for me.
Great Balanced Sound For Small Speakers
I needed to replace my computer speakers for a work station with limited space. The speakers needed to be capable for use as accurate monitor speakers for home recording projects. I like to compose instrumental music with guitar, mandolin, and bass. While I record I'll use headphones, but I need to rely on the monitor speakers to do the final mix.
I don't have space for ideal speaker placement, as the speakers are positioned at about chest height, but these little speakers do sound good. I can get accurate mixes recording my Martin OM-28 and Collings mandolin. If I had a larger space to work with, I would place these speakers level with my ears, but I can't complain.
The speakers are a good value for the money.
Amazing Quality and Sound
These are true "STUDIO MONITORS". Yamaha has been known as the benchmark of Studio Monitors since the 70s, and it is easy to tell why. These monitors have all the features you need for your personal/home/professional studio. Great response, Incredible tone, IMO an Amazing small footprint Monitor. If I had to think of 1 negative and the reason, they got 4.5 stars and not 5, it would be the 26W output power. A little more would be nice, but by no means is it NOT enough I just personally would have liked more. These are NOT Computer speakers like so many competitors. These are TRUE STUDIO MONITORS.
