The Name Says It All.
Well, this bass has been quite the wait for (shout out to my sales engineer Jay for bringing this one in). However, the wait for this was so worth it! First, the woods used for the bass guitar were Mahogany for the body, Maple/Walnut for the neck, and Ebony for the fingerboard. They play a significant role in making this bass have excellent weight, balance, and tone. Then again, the Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers deliver crisp, clean, and unmatched tone clarity. The three-way toggle switch gives excellent tone variations. The bass, mid, and treble knobs also help determine how much you want the bass to stand out.
When playing the bass, especially shredding at high speeds, the neck is wide and smooth, which makes playing comfortable. It's been super easy for me to get the notes and effects I want without working excessively. I'll also add that the sustain from the pickups is fantastic. I can let a note ring out for nearly a minute (I've timed to about fifty seconds). You can also get some lovely clean tones to play different music styles, but this bass shines for metal. The design, color, and Mother of Peral inlays draw attention very well! I've gotten to play this bass for my church worship team, and I had a small crowd surrounding it after service. It will undoubtedly be used in future sets and other live events I might do (although shredding metal songs in my room is always my go-to with this thing).
The icing on this cake is that I had the opportunity to meet Daniel Firth himself (even getting a handshake!). It makes playing this bass much cooler since he designed it with Schecter Guitars. I'd recommend this bass to any metal player, and I'd say order ASAP (it sells like hotcakes).
