Know what you’re getting
This 10.4" half rack panel works perfectly for my applications, but the description is misleading as is reflected in all the one-star reviews. 10.4" is obviously over half of a 19" rack, so it will not "fill the voids left by half-rack audio gear" but it is perfect in a half width rack where the gear has rack ears on both sides.
Not as described.
If you are looking for a half rack plate to clean up a gap due to a half rack piece of gear, this will not work unless you are willing to bend one side down or cut it. The description here is not correct.
Does not work with half-rack gear
I have a MOTU 4pre that takes up half rack width. I ordered this blank panel in the hope that it would fill the gap. It is too wide. Even with removing the mounting hardware from the MOTU, this blank panel is too wide.
Except it's not half rack
It's not a half rack in length - if you have half-rack gear this panel is useless.
