TC Electronic Hall Of Fame 2 Mini Reverb Pedal
TC Electronic Hall Of Fame 2 Mini Reverb Pedal Reviews
The TC Electronic Hall Of Fame 2 Mini delivers the sound that made its predecessor such a hot seller and ups the ante with a groundbreaking pressure-sensitive footswitch and ear-pleasing next-gen reverb algorithms. This effect pedal’s MASH footswitch operates much like an expression pedal, supplying access to effect-specific real-time parameter control, and its updated algorithms sound gorgeous — the Shimmer reverb is guaranteed to elicit spine-tingling reactions. Fine-tuning your effect is a cinch, thanks to dedicated Decay, Tone, and Level controls, and you can beam additional patches into the pedal via TC’s free TonePrint app. The HOF 2 Mini boasts true-bypass switching when the pedal is off, while analog-dry-through maintains your tone’s integrity when the pedal is on. Given its extra-small size, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t grab a Hall Of Fame 2 Mini — you can squeeze it onto the most crowded of pedalboards.
This reverb pedal is way better than my amp's reverb
When I read where you should use a reverb pedal instead of the reverb effect on my deluxe-reverb amp,
I was very skeptical. But it's true. The reverb on this pedal sounds way better than the reverb
that comes with the amp. It's even way better than the reverb on my Marshall DSL40CR amp too.
Reverb
Works great for the price. Saves space in my electronics box.
Great Without Giving Up a Ton of Space
At its basic, it is not a great pedal. However, it's power comes from the Toneprints that you can load from the app. There are so many tone prints to choose from. I pretty much just use one reverb setting and leave it on all the time adjusting just the level and decay based on the room I am in. I don't like giving up a lot of real estate to "always on pedals". This and the Corona Chorus mini, another always-on for me are perfect with the small footprint and power of Toneprint. The price point is also nice. It seems well built and quiet with a choice of buffered or True Bypass. There are lots of better reverb pedals, but few offer this much in such a small package.
sounds amazeballs
This TC reverb pedal rocks.... simple and sounds amazing!
Reverb unit
Fits easily on my pedal board. The narrow size is great
Great pedal—if you're okay relying on an app
I have no complaints about the sounds of the pedal itself, I just am not a huge fan of having to use the app to change between patches. I'd much rather have a physical way to do that, and wish I got the full size version instead. The app does work well, just annoying that toneprints can't be edited from the phone app, and the noise it makes when transmitting through a pickup is quite annoying.
Great Pedal
I was playing in a situation where the band didn't want me to bring an amp, as they wanted me to go directly into the mixing board. The problem was that I have a very small pedal board with no reverb (I normally get that from my amps). I purchased the Hall Of Fame 2 (mini), which fit into my small pedal board quite nicely, and I love the ability to push a different configuration out to the pedal via my cell phone and guitar pickups. There is also a computer program you can download to fine tune the effect so you can really dial in the sound you want. And, this doesn't break the bank either. What's not to like.
great pedal for a bassist
I've been through a lot of reverb pedals in search of one that I liked. This one finally won me over. As a bassist, I was looking for a pedal that would enhance some of the licks in the original music that my band plays. The toneprint app had previously not worked so well, but the new version so far is flawless. There are a gazillion toneprints in it, many very suitable for bass. If you can't find or create what you want with this pedal, then there's no hope! LOL
Everthing I Need
This pedal has everything I need plus more. You have a great-sounding reverb with adjustable decay (dwell) and tone. Reverb is the one effect I leave on all the time, and I'm pretty particular about the sound. My amp with spring reverb is a little weak, and I don't care for the reverb in my DR-TM (too long), so I appreciate having a great reverb that is configurable. It's dead quiet, so no issues there. The foot switch is the soft silent type, so no clicking noise coming through the amp.
I haven't tried the tone print capability, so I can't comment on that.
Sweet pedal
Great reverb pedal dial in just what you need.
Nice little pedal
This is a nice little pedal, that has a pleasing reverb, that is small enough to fit on my Nano pedal board.
It does what I need, and fits in the space i had.
A couple of tips for TonePrint
First, I found that a single-coil pickup works well. I used the neck pickup on my strat. Second, I had some trouble at first as I couldn't get the app to upload a new toneprint to the pedal. Finally, the app gave me a popup to turn off the step-by-step 'Wizard'. As soon as I did that, it started working immediately. It's hard to imagine a much better reverb pedal for the money in my book.
A cool pedal, but but….
This cool little pedal's size is defeated by it's side power plug, leaving no particular room on my PedaltrainNano.
Why didn't I just buy this first?!
I play acoustic guitar both solo and in a band, and I've tried three other reverb pedals. One of them is supposed to be specially formulated for acoustics! But the HOF 2 Mini knocks it out of the park. Not even close. After sitting for more than hour trying every Toneprint available, I've settled on Pete Thorn's Spring. It offers a delicious nudge - not really all that different than my dry sound - just a bit of something, something. If you're a acoustic player looking for some icing, you're probably gonna love this little pedal.
Solid reverb!
This little giant does a big job, of providing realistic, clean effects. Small but mighty!
Solid set it and forget reverb that doesn't take up a lot of space.
Excellent pedal
A whole plethora of great sounds. Really a perfect digital reverb. First thought was 'I can't believe how small this pedal is', but ther sound wasd huge. Which is ideal if you run a board as packed as mine!
Bang for the Buck
Simple pedal with great sound, plenty of adjustability, small footprint. Well worth it!
Just what I needed
My head doesn't have reverb, and I just needed a little something to fill up my clean channel, and add a little color. I know this is the slimmed down choice, but it was enough for what I was lacking. Thank you Tyler and the Sweetwater team, for always looking out for me and being ready to shift direction if needed.
Endless possibilities
I've used this thing on my guitar and my bass, and it does amazing things for both of them! The templates and presets in the toneprint app cover almost any type of reverb you could think of and more. I've hooked it up to my computer to use the editor, and I was almost overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options. Well worth the time to sculpt your own sound
I wanted a reverb...
This reverb is perfect for my reverb-less 1 watt amp. Sounds gorgeous.
It works
Needed reverb for my one man band mic. Didnt want to pay for or use another big rack reverb. This is small, light weight and works.
Love it and regret it at the same time!
I do in fact love this pedal. For the price I don't believe you can do better.
The Best! Buy it
I'm super impressed with this little pedal. The reverbs have a real hi-fi quality to them. The TonePrint library is just awesome. It's super easy to beam new reverbs to the pedal from the phone. Sound quality is incredible. Buy it, you will not regret it.
TC Mini Reverb Pedal
Great little pedal! It has the sounds I want from a reverb. I have a spring reverb in my amp, but it isn't easily accessible. This little pedal fills the gap. Love it!
Mini HOF 2
I love this pedal, it's small and it sounds great, service and delivery, as always, was great too.
Great reverb pedal
Very good tone and the tone print app is very cool.
