POORLY Designed

prepare to buy a LOT of these...the glue on Austrian Audio's proprietary mounting system is TERRIBLY designed.


There is a tab system that mounts the pads to your ear cups using a thing plastic ring. The leather pads are glued to the rings and the rings snap into place using 12 connectors that CAN break and ruin the headphones.

I have been through 4 pairs of pads and each pad set has lasted me MAYBE 5-6 months...The lack of third party ear pad support is terrible as there are nearly NO options that are solid/long term.

I have been looking for replacement headphones that have similar ear cup sizing and sound that are CLOSED back only, but have not really found any that fit.

If I could return or trade in these headphones, i certainly would.

Perfect fit

Fit perfectly on my headphones. Hopefully these last longer than the originals, but I won't hold my breath since my skin usually seems to be fairly "corrosive" to rubber materials.

Took ages (multiple months) to arrive, presumably due to the ongoing COVID-related international shipping craziness + these needing to be ordered directly from Austrian Audio, so I guess order well in advance if you notice your eadpads/headband pad thing falling apart.
