This magnificent instrument is leagues above all acoustic guitars I've played. Workmanship is perfect!
It amazes me that this guitar will only sound better with age. It already sounds fantastic. This is truly a guitar of a lifetime and a legacy to leave to the grandkids. Sweetwater was responsive and friendly. No regrets!

Best guitar I've ever heard.
I recently purchased a Taylor 814 CE Deluxe at anot her guitar store chain. It was so beautiful... it was truly a work of art. It was also a fingerpicker's dream. I don't play that way much though. So I took it back and with a full refund I bought a Martin HD28 for less. It is without a doubt the best, most balanced, sweetest sounding guitar I've ever heard. I wasn't sure what balanced was until I heard this guitar. Now I know. This thing rings like a bell, sounds so piano like down low. The sound is magnificent. The pictures don't do it justice. It's not muddy at all. You can see the wood grain through all its clear colors. It's beautiful! You won't regret it. It really is a tone cannon.
Best Guitar I've Ever Owned
I've owned two Martins in my life, and had several other guitars pass through my hands. This guitar beats them all. If you want a smaller, more compact sound, there are other models that might suit you better - but this guitar is a canon and my life companion. Lovely instrument!
Awesome but
Every thing you want in a guitar. I love the action I love balanced tone and quality of this guitar. I also have an awesome d35 but the hd28 playability is much better for some reason. I thought the d35 couldn't be beat until I got the hd28. Would not sell either. Martin guitars are great.
2018 Martin HD28 Ambertone
I had never bought a guitar online before, I've always been the one to have to be there & play the guitar in person & hold it in my hand, before I would've never spent the kind of money I did without seeing it in person, but they had my dream guitar a 2018 Martin HD28 Ambertone so I called & actually talked to the guy I had talked to through e-mail & he answered every question I had, I don't think I will ever buy from another place, they beat everyone's price & my kids even loved the package of candy, Thank you all for helping me buy my first Martin.
