Very good amp
Well, so far the amp is great. No issues, sounds amazing and I have been taking advantage of being able to pipe audio in and play with the music. Very beautiful and built like a brick house. Very happy with my amp and enjoying it every day.
You wanted an amp! You got an amp! The greatest amp in the world... Hartke!
All I wanted and needed was a smaller sized mancave practice amp that wouldn't shake the shingles off my roof, but still had a bit of high end clarity and punch with a low end rumble and growl. I didn't need or want a distortion, overdrive or high gain channel. I don't need amp modeling or onboard effects. I'd rather use pedals for my overdrive, fuzz and effects needs.
With the Hartke HD25 I have that and more. I'm more than impressed with this amp. The sound is phenomenal. It makes some of the other amps I've owned and used sound like mud compared to this little powerhouse. The Hartke HD25 is really basic... in a good way. Master volume, 3 band (bass, mid, treble) EQ, aux input, headphone jack and input jack. That's it. And it doesn't need anything more. The EQ is very responsive. There seems to be plenty of headroom at louder volumes... even when adding a fuzz and/or overdrive pedal.
This is, for me, the ultimate small practice amp.
(Basses in photo were purchased through Sweetwater also. You all at Sweetwater ROCK!)

Hartley HD25 Bass Amp
A very nice little amp. Apparently very well made.
Nice metal grille in front. Nice Aluminum/Paper Speaker. A very good practice amp. I don't know what else to say about it. I like it a lot.I would recommend this as a very affordable practice bass amp.
Awesome
Great amp awesome sound
Great little amp!
I bought this so I could play along during vocal rehearsals, and it works great! Good tone at soft volumes but is able to punch it out if needed! Actually a little heavier than I thought it would be, but is easy to pick up and move. I'd recommend it for your small portable bass amp needs!
Harte 25HD
Wanted a smaller Bass Amp for Acoustic and Bass Amp. We also have a 100 watt Hartke that's great and so is the HD25. It's built very well and sounds great, fits the bill perfectly. I appreciate the consumer service and great communication.
O Tay
I've been playing bass for around 25 years. I have my bass rig in my basement and got tired of dragging it up and down the stair cases every time I wanted to play in a different room. So I thought to just get a cheap practice amp for when I practice upstairs, Something easy. I remember when I was younger, most practice amps and even most combo bass amps didn't sound good. Bass amp technology wasn't a big market. I guess they have made some progress, this little bass amp sounds great ! Gone are the days of sounding like you are beating against a tin can when you turn the volume past 5 on a practice amp.. This sounds close to pro gear. I was worried that "solid state" amps were going to sound cold. This sounds warm and flavorful ! It must be the Paper/ Aluminum speaker cone. I'm impressed. I wish it had an effects loop, only complaint.
Great practice amp
I Love the tone from this amp. When I received it the amp had a dirty volume pot that was scratchy. I turned it back and forth several times and it cleared up. It's 25 watts so don't really expect to use it in an electric band unless you mic it. It's heavy for it's size and appears to be very high quality. It has that great Hartke tone like the big amps and I am very pleased so far. But I don't expect it to be anymore than a practice amp, I use a 3500 (4x10 and a horn) to gig and record with, But I wouldn't object to putting a mic on this one to record with.
