My partner bought me this as a birthday present and i absolutely love it, it has that perfect trashy sound you're looking for in any metal break down or funk beat, i use it all the time now to ride on and for accents, i would most definitely recommend this cymbal for any beginner or pro looking for a nice trash tone

I"m a beginner drummer having just bought my set from sweet water a little over a week ago. So I"m no expert on cymbal quality. But I had bought a stand for a practice pad that didn"t fit and needed an inexpensive cymbol for it. It"s sits in between a Zildjian ZBT set up and I"m actually quite pleased with it. I"m exploring sounds and like that it has less sustain than my other cumbals.

This is a great cymbal for the price. I can get very heavy handed when playing the trash thrash and it’s nice to know that it is relatively cheap to replace. This cymbal lasts for about 6 months before it needs to be replaced.

I'm a church music director. We do a lot of rock, funk, R&B, and other contemporary styles at our church. One of my drummers found this cymbal and thought we should give it a try. All of our other cymbals are Zildjian and Sabian, but for only 60 bucks, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try Meinl. The item was easy to order and it arrived within a couple of days. The cymbal sounds great, especially for such a low price. The Zildjian equivalent of this cymbal would cost over twice as much. This one does the job of a trash crash just fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I reserve 5 stars for things like penicillin and democracy.

Great trash cymbal for an unbeatable price. I was shocked by how good it sounds. Definitely recommend it for those who just want to add a little extra.

Don't dismiss the HCS line for adding color!
I paired up to make a custom stack from the HCS 16" Trash Crash and HCS 10" Splash....HCS might not be Meinl's top of the line, but for adding unique colors...drummers should look into them as well as the other series available. These are actually quite a bit better than some of the other top brand cymbals pro lines.
Don't let the price fool you. This stack is killer!

It's cheap, good looking, nice designed. But sound just OK.

For the cost of this cymbal and the Meinl quality, even for the lower end of the line, I was blown away.
Higher priced cymbals sound equal to this cymbal. Yes there are better sounding cymbals, but at a much higher price. However, the Meinl 16" HCS Trash Crash met my expectations. Wayne at Sweetwater is a drummer and he never steers me wrong. Perfect for my application as a accent cymbal.
