Heritage Audio HA73X2 ELITE 2-channel Microphone Preamp Reviews
Heritage Audio's value-packed Elite series leverages the expertise gleaned from years of making acclaimed vintage-inspired equipment. For the HA73X2 Elite, Heritage Audio set its target high: their own widely respected, handwired HA73jr and DMA73 preamps — themselves based on the most iconic vintage console preamp in history, the 1073. In Sweetwater's opinion, they have succeeded. You might ask how Heritage can offer the same world-class sound and performance at such a budget-friendly price. Through economies of scale, mostly. They don't cut corners on components (the HA73X2 Elite employs genuine Carnhill input and output transformers), but they do order parts and build in quantity, using lean manufacturing and modern construction techniques, in the same Spanish factory where the rest of their line is made.

Great Value for money
Love the sound of this on guitars especially, We mic up a fender vibrolux with the Royer 121 going to this preamp and my sm57 going to the UA6176, for a really rich and warm tone. The heritage sounds decent on everything.
We use the UA6176 on bass and vocals and Heritage on guitars and pianos mainly. It sounds decent on vocals and bass, but not necessarily our first choice.
It's a really good Neve emulator, far better than the Apollo Neve 1073 emulations you can purchase.
Really unique tone on guitars. I highly recommend this preamp!
