Pearl Hi-Hat
Very quick response with the direct drive. This is a quality hi hat that is well built. I like the small details about it. For instance the pedal has a foot stopper to prevent your foot from sliding to far up the top and came with all the accessories like the that you need to make adjustments. My other hi hat didn't. Overall I really like it and I don't see me buying another one for a long time and recommend it to all drummers.

I have been using the DW9500 2 leg hi hat stand for years now and I have been finding it is not as sturdy as I want it to be (also is quite squeaky now). I like my pedal height to be pretty low and if you go too low on the DW it messes with the function a bit, so decided that I wanted to try out a good 3 leg stand and found the Pearl H1050. So far I love it, I prefer the function of the direct pull vs having the standard chain. You are able to change the pedal height, spring tension and feet spikes extremely easily, much easier than making the adjustments on the DW I found. This thing is rock solid and folds in quite easily as well making transportation very convenient. The hi hat clutch design is so good also, I didn't know if I would like the clutch but it will be my main clutch for a long time I think. Very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone wanting a solid hi hat stand.
