Mogami Gold Instrument 18 Straight to Straight Instrument Cable - 18 foot Reviews

Have used Mogami 18ft gold series now for a couple months. Great cable, great performance and sound quality from them !! Have 2 of them, 1 with straight ends and one with a 90° on one end. If you are on the fence, try one, you won't regret spending the extra money! Excellent warranty also! Been rocking heavy for a long time and started using Sweetwater about 8-9 yrs ago and haven't looked back! Thanks Robby! My sales manager that always goes above and beyond for me !!

This is the only expensive cord I've ever owned except monster cable. Mines an 18'.tired of noise ,crackling popping scratching ect. not because of amp or instrument those annoyances are completely gone with this cable.The density and quality of sound is completely unbelievable and in difference to other comments the cable is not stiff or any of the other complaints.Granted its a bit pricey but you will and I have spent much more on inferior cables and the problems you have with them so ,that's it.

Spending that much on a cable may seem insane,but its worth it.You will notice the difference.

Since Monster cables became absolute garbage I need an equivalent and these Mogami Gold cables go beyond that. I've been using these cables since 2012 and I've never had to exchange any of them. Best cables out there and definitely worth the price tag.

I used Monster cables for years. Decided to try these out at the suggestion of one of the awesome Sweetwater folks. Couldn't be happier with the switch. Solid, durable, and they have the same type of warranty Monster had. If you break it or it stops working, just take it to an authorized dealer and get it swapped out free of charge. Awesome instrument cable.

I enjoy playing the **** out of these Mogami Gold cables. If you hear of these cables and have not got one you are missing out.

I was using very average priced cables for a long time and was hoping that the mogami cables would improve my tone and I was exceptionally pleased by the performance! They really made me hear things I just couldn't hear with my cheap cables

I have been using Mogami for the past 6 years. I live in a tropical climate where heat, humidity, dust, salt from the ocean in the air, can wreak havoc with all electrical equipment without adequate care and storage in a dry environment.

I started using Mogami Gold 5 years ago and have superb signal, tone and reliability from their products.

As well as being robust and made to exacting standards, I love the light-weight and narrower cable construction.

I have several cables of different lengths for connecting my Taylor acoustic to an amp. No matter which of my cables I used, I always had a low-level hum. But, this cable has killed the hum. My connection to the amp through this cable is quiet, just like it is supposed to be. It was definitely worth spending the money to get a high quality cable. I am throwing the old cables out and replacing them with more of these.

Cables do matter. My sound was greatly improved after I received this cable!

If you are spending a lot of $$$$$ on your gear then why skimp on cables, they are part of the audio path. Mogani cables a simply a great cable, the do not introduce any unwanted noise, they are durable and the build quality is high and consistent. The investment in these cables are worth the cost.

Ive been buying Mogami Gold for years and they have easily become my all time favorite cables to use for both acoustic and electric guitars. They make such a difference, esp through a PA with acoustic. Sweetwater has the best customer service in the industry and went out of their way to assist me. I also got a call telling me my order was being processed. Cant get better than that!

This is the best guitar cable I have in my stock. Well used and reliable. This cable keeps your sounds perfect and will last forever. Don't go cheap with other cables if you play on stage! This is the one to get for you perfect sound.

Was introduced to this brand of cable by my Sales Engineer, and now I cannot bring myself to purchase any other. I was sure their would be some noise from an 18' cable in my environment, but shielding works great! For me, the higher price of this cable is justifiable, because of it's quality and lifetime warranty.

I now have six varying length Mogami Gold cables on my rig, and it's because they are that great sounding, period.

Mogami Gold has never let me down and I'm very pleased with the the clarity of my pedalboard after switching out all cables with Mogami. A bit pricey, but worth it considering the warranty, as always, backed up by Sweetwater immediate response. Thanks to both companies!

Love these Mogami cables, my setup effects to amp, amp effects loop to pedals and pedal to pedal are all powered by Mogami Gold instrument and patch cables and my tone is great with no hint of hiss or unwanted noise......I couldnt be more pleased.

Mogami makes excellent cables, well constructed, and zero noise (common in less expensive cables). I use the pair to connect my pedal board to my high-end AMP and they work perfect.

I have slowly been replacing / upgrading all my cables to Mogami's and it has been worth it thus far. My signal chain is silent- which is a huge plus on its own.
Mogami's warranty sealed the deal for me- considering Monster kind of switched stances on their warranty.
I gave it a 4.5 simply because the cost- if your only buying a cable or two it still stings a bit- but replacing 10 or more really stings, how ever I should have done this years ago. As I cannot count the number of lesser quality cables I have bought for half the price only to throw them away after a short while.

…you can built it yourself for less than $1 per foot! The Mogami 2524 cable stock is easily the best-sounding (i.e., most transparent) cable I've used, and that's what the "Gold" series is built from. You can buy it pre-made, but if you have basic soldering skills (or have a friend who does) you can order this same exact cable stock for half of what you would pay pre-made-- and you can make custom lengths, as well. Mogami cable is great stuff. It lasts forever and never gives me trouble. Buy the raw cable and save $$.

I purchased this to facilitate moving around on stage & receive sound quality with a long cable. This cable delivers that. I didn't give it a 5 because I would like it to be be more flexible.

Really good gear--highly recommend these Mogami Gold cables. Not too expensive and great sound.

I tried these to see if there was a difference in tone from the George L cables I normally use. While the sound quality was good I noticed an increase in fullness in the bass and upper mids. The George L cables sounded more balanced to me and have a slightly thinner tone which I prefer. But they may be perfect for someone else.

When using for a guitar these cables should be more floppy and flexible. These are like a stiff vacuum cleaner cord on a cold day. They may sound fine but a cable should have a more rubbery skin and lay flat on the ground. These have too much of a plastic in the outside layer. I don't care for them for use with an instrument that is going to be mobile like guitar or bass.
