Stellar, that’s all I can say
Bought this to run after my fuzz units. I play clean platform amps. Fuzz sounds beat with a broken up amp. The Giggity does this in spades with much tweaking ability to sculpt the tone to what you need. I will NEVER play a fuzz pedal without a Giggity, EVER! It makes that much of a difference. This would be a great option for someone wanting to further sculpt their tone and even as a great boost. Amazing pedal.
Get this pedal
Great pedal for shaping your tone . I put this in front of the sparkle drive Mod thats stacked with the Plumes overdrive and those 3 are all you will ever need.
I have a American Specal Telecaster and you can fatten up your single coils to give you that Clapton for his Cream days in the moon mode or dial in the sun mode amd it will give you that compressed chicken pickin for days . If your on the fence about this pedal dont be because its a great tool on it own but really comes to life with an overdrive / tube screamer.
As always thank you Ian Lemberg my sweetwater rep
Exactly As Advertised!
This will never leave my board! I use it as an additional EQ shaping when switching between guitars, it allows you to accentuate a guitar's sonic strong points and it helps remove some sonic weaknesses as well. Very versatile and the sonic range is quite vast, yet usable. You can REALLY darken a bright Tele or brighten a dark sounding Les Paul. Great pedal!
Tonal Trouble Shooter
Knew about this pedal way before I ever got my hands on one in person, thanks to Voodoo Labs and James Santiago making so many videos showing it's uses. It intrigued me forever but then I came across it at a guitar store in town used, so I finally got one recently.
First thing is first, this thing is extremely flexible cause of all the voicing options. On top of the fact it makes a killer boost/compressor pedal as well. My main use for the Giggity as of now is for thickening up the tone of my Strat and other single coil guitars when I need a "faux humbucker" tone on the fly.
I put it on the second or third from the left voicing, and crank up the loudness knob a bit. Kick it on like this with a Stratocaster with a already semi dirty amp, and you'll sound like you suddenly plugged in a Les Paul or something. It thickens up the tone, but doesn't lose the crisp singing edge. I love this pedal!
VooDoo Lab Giggity Analogue Mastering Preamp pedal
Hey , this pedal is everything VooDoo Lab says it is and more. Our band does a Casino Gig where no amps are allowed due to the management request. So we have to work around it. I use the Giggity continuously to get a super tube amp sound/tone. I actually run through my pedals then into the Giggity (on a super clean setting) to the Soundman. What I get back through my monitor is an excellent tube amp sound/tone. I use my other pedals for dirt and more dirt as well as my other effects. I"ve also used this component in an acoustic format and it"s pretty happy there too. Lots of goodies in one great little pedal. I"ve tried putting the Giggity in front of my pedals but it"s just better throwing everything into the Giggity and going straight out of the giggity into my am or the PA system.
Giggity is my new secret weapon
I have a TS that I use as a boost, and Wampler fuzz for really letting loose, but I wanted an overdrive to break up my clean sound just a bit. Something that helped my amp sound like it was cranked when I was playing a bedroom levels.
I tried out pedals by BB, the new Boss Waza stuff, and almost didn't try Giggity because it's the ugliest pedal I've ever seen, and it didn't look like it could possibly sound good.
Boy was I wrong! This is my favourite pedal on a board full of high end pedals. It's SO touch sensitive and breaks up at just the right point. I use it at the front of my signal chain, just after my SP comp, and I couldn't be happier. This pedal is not versatile (unless maybe you use it at the end of the chain for tone shaping), but what it does is priceless for me.
Unreal. You owe it to yourself to try this badboy!
Always in use.
I use this to add a little "air" and to make up for lost signal, because I have 25 and 30 foot cords. It gives me more of an already good sound. Nothing life changing, but I definitely notice it when it's not there. I also use it as a preamp for my bass when I am recording. Very versatile pedal.
Giggity
More intuitive than an EQ, way more applications. It’s a Swiss Army knife of a pedal. Really cool when you don’t know what kind of backline you will be using.
Well Alright
Bump on the tune your tone claim, really good for that. There is another use if you run long cables, it will buffer your signal - put it at the end of your chain before the amp and it will help maintain your tone from that alone.
I say 5, but 5 here is WOW, and well, it's not a wow pedal, just an excellent tool for those who might benefit from it.
Giggity!
If you like your tone/sound and just want more of it- this is your pedal. It can fine tune your already good rig and make it just right. I use it to a little more girth and space (air) in my set-up and absolutely love it's control. Not an overdrive, not a compressor, a tone shaper.
Effecient, affordable and made in the USA
I've never owned anything by Voodoo Lab before but decided to purchase the GIGGITY to use as a preamp
for my Tech 21 Power Engine 60. I have a host of other effects I like and figured they would work with this
at the end of the chain. I'm very Happy. It does clean and modest overdrive to suit my taste. I will definately
be getting the Sparkle Drive Mod soon, and will eventually purchase the Wahzoo. I sold on the quality of
Voodoo Lab, Made in the USA.
You owe it to your self to find this line of pedals and try them out.
Giggity review
What they say is absolutely true about this pedal and that is if you have a good tone already this pedal can enhance it. But if you are looking for something to "change your tone" then you'll need to be looking at your pre existing amp / guitar setup. This pedal "enhances" your tone and gives it more life but as I've already stated this will not create an all new tone for your rig, IMO.
I like it!
I was looking for something that I could add a little bit of edge to my clean sound with a strat through a fender amp - and this really does a nice job. Not really for adding a lot of gain - but just enough to give the strat/amp that clipped sound.
unique and practical
I'm really happy with this pedal. It's kind of a combo gain and eq to either fine tune your sound or make it sound like you switched to a second amp. It kind of adds a little crunch and compression like you would get from a clean amp turned up loud where the master section is driven. You can use it to add a little drive on your clean sound for a really nice, fat, clean lead. It's about what you would think a tube screamer would sound like, but it's nothing close to a tube screamer. You could also use it to fine tune you sound and just leave it on all time. Sounds great to me and I don't think there is anything else like it available.
Not What I Wanted
The demos from Voodoo and other players sounded good. I really love Eric Johnson and expected to get somewhat close to his tone (like the company shows in their Youtube videos). This is essentially a tone knob with a hint of "transparent" overdrive. It can help change your tone on a Strat or Tele to sort of like a humbucker, but it sounds pretty much like rolling back your tone knob. It's not a bad pedal. It's just redundant.
I really wanted to like it...
For the record, this pedal almost did what I needed it to do. I primarily play "Super Strats". Our show is very fast paced, and the whole reason I got the pedal was to go from a real single coil neck Strat pickup on one song to a beefy, Mid-focused bridge pickup Les Paul-ish-type sound on the next song without switching guitars. This pedal got pretty close, and would have gotten 4 stars for that. Unfortunately, the pedal developed a noise problem which I believe is one of the jacks having come loose from the circuit board. The problem started during the warranty period, but because it was so intermittent I didn't figure out that it was coming from the Giggity pedal until after the warranty had expired. Anyway, I'm stuck with a pedal I can't use, is not worth fixing for the improvement it provided, and can probably just be replaced with an EQ for my uses. Once again, it would have gotten 4 stars if it hadn't crapped out in less than two years with very limited use.
