TC Electronic Gauss Tape Echo Pedal Reviews
Tape echo holds a special place in the hearts of guitarists at Sweetwater. Warm, lush, and dripping with vintage vibe, tape echo has a sound like no other delay type. Unfortunately, true tape echo units are cumbersome, expensive, and require serious upkeep. What are tape-echo-loving guitarists to do? TC Electronic comes to the rescue with the Gauss Tape Echo pedal. Leveraging a cutting-edge algorithm, the Gauss Tape Echo faithfully replicates the legendary tape echo devices of yore and sizes them down for pedalboards. With just three knobs — Delay, Volume, and Sustain — you have access to a plethora of dreamy, saturated echo sounds. Plus, when it’s time to get weird, you can physically manipulate the knobs for subsonic pitch dives and swirling self-oscillation!

Excellent
Great Customer service, Lucina Followed up on my order to make sure I was pleased. Really Love this pedal will let my other harmonica playing friends know as well.
Mostly Great
The tones on this are great! The pedal is slightly quieter when engaged than when it is not, but it is pretty subtle. The Modulation switch is also very subtle, and I am not sure I can even tell if it is doing anything.
However, the pedal is built like a tank, sounds fantastic, and can self oscillate and get weird. I love it!
Mediocre at Best.
I'm a TC fan but this pedal is a disappointment.
It's difficult to dial in because the knobs are super sensitive
A tiny turn changes everything. The modulation switch is barely audible. When you engage the pedal you volume drops. I guess for the price it's acceptable maybe.
