a good gender bender
I need these in my set up plugs. No one seems to have every combination of cord and plug. These work great when you need a female XLR on each end of the cord.
Broke on first use
The brand I really wanted was out of stock and we needed something asap. On first unplug (with a new Pro Co mic cable), the metal sleeve in one of the pin holes pulled out and popping out. It seemed to have an issue before being plugged in as well. It felt a bit "jangly" like something was loose. At least it worked for one recording session.
I never seem to have good luck with anything by Hosa but your luck may vary. I'll replace the pair of these we got with a pair of D'Addario's when they're back in stock.
