Goodwood US Hickory Drumsticks 6-pair - Rock - Wood Tip
Goodwood US Hickory Drumsticks 6-pair - Rock - Wood Tip Reviews
These Goodwood Rock drumsticks are made from hickory, a great wood for harder hitting styles. Its heavier feel makes the sticks more stable and less prone to breaking. These Goodwood Rock sticks are weighted toward the tip, aiding in fast attack and response from your drums. And Sweetwater drummers love the wood tips, which help enhance your attack. At such a great price, you need to fill your stick bag with these Goodwood Rock drumsticks.
...I Like 'em
I've used these for a few years now. I bought them because I didn't feel like paying big money for popular brand name sticks just to play with my Ipod at home. I liked the price on the 6pack. I like the extra length, and they are surprisingly durable as I tend to chop up sticks on the edge of the cymbals. I've stuck with them. I'm very comfortable playing with them. They're my first choice.
Definitely Good and Wood!
I've now had my hands on the wood tips sizes 5A, 5B, 7A, 2B, ROCK and FUSION. All of them feel and play great and have held up really well. The only one I've had trouble with so far was the Fusion stick because one of my students liked the feel of them so well that I ended up giving him a pair! If you're not spending all of your drum time trying to dent your snare hoops or crack cymbals these sticks will perform admirably. Try them out! At best you find some sticks you like! At worst you're out a 6-pack of sticks for a third of the price!
What Size is a Vater Goodwood Rock Stick?
After extensive research in my drum lab (a.k.a. my kitchen table), I have concluded that a rock stick is the same thickness as a Goodwood 5a stick but is a 1/2 longer than the 5a and 5b Goodwood stick.
I like this stick. It has a cool shape tip and looks like a real cymbal whacker to me.
It's an R-O-C-K, and it is made in the U-S-A.
Get some.
