This case is well built for the price. Great if you're going for that nostalgic look. Good materials. Sturdy case. Nice compartment for strap, tuner, picks, strings, etc

Nice looking cast with crap hardware. Latches are really flimsy compared to any other case I own and do not want to stay latched.

This is the nicest Gator cases I own and I own a few and they are all great! This one is really vintage and looks a feels great. Perfect fit for my Les Paul. There's nothing I can say that's negative. For this price it's worth every cent! My Gibson case is nicer, but not that much

This guitar case is super cool. Very plush interior that secures your guitar completely. Has an interior cover and storage compartment. All a plus. Good sound investment to protect your favorite guitar.

Hot pink interior is great. Case is solid and fits my Ibanez Artist AR420 nicely. Nice size storage compartment. Only thing I didn't like was the silky sheet which is connected to the case. The hot pink is great but with the silky sheet it seemed a little on the Barbie side lol. I just cut it off and now it's just a cool case and the hot pink interior is great.

I recently purchased the Gator Guitar Case to put my Les Paul design guitar in since it didn't come with a case. Keep in mind I do own a Gibson Les Paul and a SG guitar that came with cases. The quality of the Gator case in my opinion actually is better than the cases that come with Gibson guitars. Plush pink fur inside with a pink satin cover to lay over the instrument. Has a roomy storage compartment. The only difference about this case is, it doesn't say Gibson on it.

I don't have much to say about the case. Gators are pretty consistent quality. Just want to say a Gibson LP Jr tribute DC bass fits in this case. Thanks Zach and everyone at Sweetwater.

This is a fairly decent case except it's too long for a Les Paul. It fits but it's about 3 or 4 " longer than it needs to be.

Seems like it was great when I first got it but I've been evacuated for Hurricane Ida since then! I guess it's doing ok! Left it at home. No roof damage or flooding we know.

Nice solid Gator hardshell case, brown exterior/pink interior with extra dust cover for the top of your guitar. This case reminds me of the fancy LP "blanket" cases from the 1960s. Gold hardware, solid feeling, and aligned in all the right spots. I have some Gator cases I have been using since the late 1990s, they have held up and protected my basses from a lot of miles on the road.

This case has more padding in it than the older case i had been using. It seems to be slightly thicker than the Gibson artist series ( NOT the original ) i have been using for the last 45 years. Perhaps that is the extra padding? The pink is pretty close to the original color. Not so sure about the extra cover flap yet. ... Also GC had me on backorder FIVE months for one of their Gibson Historic Replica cases. !@#$%^()_ This one seems well made and worth the price.

I purchased this case for my Epiphone Les Paul. In fits nice and snug. It's the closest thing to the original like the one for my Gibson for the money. I would buy this again.

Case seems well built, latches are secure, and it fits my Heritage H137 nice and snug.

It's a great case and I'm glad I got it. The minor flaws are that it's a tiny bit too big so the guitar slides back and forth. Some of the glue is also starting to peel, but all the padding is still in place.

Overall it's a great case and I'd recommend it.

Seems to be made well, I would given it 5 stars but the fax leather seams are not finished very well they are coming loose around the edges poor glue job, other than that interior is pretty nice guitar fits snugly, only wish I would have spent a little more and got the molded case.

the first one I got had a crushed neck support , and the handle was coming off , and the covering had some issues. I don't play outside of the house , so it will do.

I got this case for epi les paul and the fit is perfect. It has that old school look and is really made.

I got this case for an epiphone Les Paul.. and when I got the case/guitar.. the case is super nice! I actually use it for my vintage Gibson Les Paul custom now! And it the epi in a different case.

I bought my first new Les Paul back in 1988. It was a cherry sunburst standard that came in a brown case with pink furry lining. I loved it. Unfortunately, life happens and that guitar is long gone. So, when I recently acquired a cherry sunburst Les Paul it had to have a brown case with pink furry lining!!
These Gator cases are just perfect. They appear to be well built, strong and quite solid. For the price I was not expecting a case that is road worthy and I don't think these are. All I need is a secure place for my guitar to live at home or for short trips in a car; protected from dust, falling objects and other dangers and this is just perfect for that. I love the look, my guitar fits perfectly and Sweetwater shipped it incredibly fast!

I have never been disappointed with the quality of Gator cases or the quality of service from Sweetwater. I was delighted that this case was such a perfect fit for my 12-string Ibanez AR3212 Artist guitar.

I had ordered a Gator case for my SG, love it. When I ordered this case for a Les Paul I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Very well made, guitar fits great, large storage compartment. Does everything I need it to do. For the whiners, if you want the quality of a Gibson case you will pay double. For the money; this is a great case. If you want another latch they are fairly inexpensive online. The service at Sweetwater is the BEST!! Zach Richards is my sales engineer and always takes care of me.

Extremely nice case, especially for the price. A perfect fit for my 58 Les Paul Jr, seems to be extremely well made and I love the crazy loud pink interior. Time will tell how durable it is but for now I couldn’t be more pleased.

Externally and functioning a 5-star outstanding case for the price. My WOLF Les Paul fits snuggly within and I have no fears that it is well protected.

Unfortunately the 1-star "Electric Hot pink" colored plush interior is so visually offensive that it detracts from, rather than compliments, the guitar and "hurts" my eyes open opening.

Granted the original "vintage" Gibson cases, I grew up with, were either pink or orange, but not this "Times Square Working Girl Smurf Wig" color (No offense to either Working Girls or Smurfs intended). I jokingly add that I will have to give up playing '60's acid rock lest it trigger a flashback.

All that being said and despite the quality of functionality I have no choice other than to replace the case ...final answer!

However, one must put into perspective this personal opinion of a "Vintage" worn-out Nasville retired touring road-dog when making yours.

Good looking case. Has a nice fat handle and an angled piece of foam that accommodates the neck angle and holds the guitar securely.

I wrote a review of this case two years ago when I purchased this case for my Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded. I had to write this update because I am about to haul he case to a donation center or throw it in the trash. I wrote in 2016 that it smelled like the engine room on an aircraft carrier that I visited or like a store that specializes in cheap tools from Asia. The smell was so strong that I complained to the manufacturer. I was told to just air the case out. Now, after two years of use the case smells a little less, but now the smell is in my Guitar. I can't pick my guitar up without smelling diesel. Also, my guitar is still loose fitting inside the case. In retrospect, I should have sent this case back and bought something else.

This is the 2nd time I’ve bought this hardcase from Gator. The first for a Gibson Tribute Les Paul Gold top and now for my Les Paul w/P90’s. The fit is snug and secure. The interior is plush and a great color. There is an ample sized storage compartment. Exterior not super rugged but still made well. Remember this is not a high priced case so don’t expect it to be Tonka tuff. Still an excellent case. .5 off due as I said before to the very thin apron and fit. If I need a third for another Les Paul I will definitely buy it again

Bought this case for my son's Epiphine Les Paul custom. Fits perfectly and looks awesome too!!

After ordering this case for my 2016 Les Paul Tribute and having great success with it, I ordered another one for my Les Paul Tribute with P90's.

The fit is nice and snug, and no wiggle room or sloppiness for the guitar to get damaged. While I wouldn't recommend dropping the case to test, the case seems to be durable enough to do a good job at protection my investment when going to a gig or a jam.

The pink interior and apron lining is a great color to the brown exterior. The case is offered at a great price via Sweetwater as well and both times came well prepared for shipping. Again, my only reason for 4.5 vs. 5.0 like the first is that the apon is not cut exact and you have to play around with it to get it to fit inside before closing the lid or the edges will stick out.

I have been completely pleased with the first Gator deluxe wood case for my Gibson Les Paul Tribute, having found no issues other than the inside apron being somewhat flimsy and thin, but that did not stop me from ordering another for my latest Gibson Les Paul P90 Tribute. The case has held up very well albeit that I haven't used it a lot on the road, mostly local gigs. Still, I have no complaints and for the price my personal opinion is that it is a decent case and does the job. Again, perhaps not what you would want if you are on the road a lot in lieu of getting a better grade, but expect to pay much more. Lastly, if this were a high end Gibson I would probably seek a stronger case for obvious reasons.

Great look, feel and price!

Great case with a pretty pink bedding for my Elanor,keeps her safe when I'm not playing with her.

So, I bought a used 78 LP custom. The guy gave me a gig bag and a case that was about 2 inches too big. So, I wanted to just buy something that it fit correctly so it did not get damaged. I am only using this in the studio so it did not need to be top of the line. I saw some cheep plastic cases but this one was hardly anymore money. They have a black one and a brown one for a little bit more. I hated it when Gibson discontinued the brown in the late 90's. For a tinny bit more for the brown I went with it just for nostalgia. The case arrived today. This case is just like the Gibson case (well almost) for 1/3 the price. You know the fabric piece that holds the case open. With Gibson cases this always goes outward and pops outside the case. So you have to pull it in when you are closing the case. With the Gator the fabric is turned 180 degrees so when you close the case it ALWAYS goes inside. When I first open the case I thought this was a defect. Then I though about it for a second. That was the one thing that was always a pain about the Gibson cases. Also, the xxx combo lock is not on this case. For some of you this is good for some bad. It has a key lock on one of the levers like most Fender cases. This is good for me as I am not worried about the lock but bad for some of you. For the money you cannot go wrong with this case.

Accessory compartment lid flops around, Needs to be more secure. Other than that it is a well made case.

Why not a perfect 5 star rating? I found the inside apron somewhat cheaper in quality and design compared to my Gibson case. That said , still a well made case and nice easy on pocketbook price. Bought for my Gibson Les Paul Tribute Gold Top. Fits perfectly. Love the color

Considering other reviews and the fact that this case is half the price of the Gibson case, I was astonished at the high quality of the Gator case. In some ways it's better than the cases that come with the more expensive Gibson Les Paul guitars. The vinyl is laid out well and is solidly and neatly glued. The stitching is precise and all of the fittings and latches are very close to Gibson quality. And they function flawlessly. It's very attractive and seems to be well padded. The balance is more centered than the Gibson case. I really could find no flaws in manufacture.

There are, however, two issues that prevent me from giving this case a five-star rating. Gibson cases are famous for smelling like vanilla. The Gator case smells like a well known big box discount tool company that is noted for it's green painted power tools. It's kind of a diesel-like smell, somewhat like the engine room of an aircraft carrier I toured once. It was quite strong when I pulled the case from the bag it was sealed in, and I only hope that the odor goes away soon. The second issue is that the fit of my guitar is a little loose. I bought this case for a Gibson Les Paul Studio and there is some side-to-side and end-to-end movement of the guitar within the case. But as I purchased the case for use at home, I'm not real concerned. A gigging musician might take issue with the fit.

All and all this is a beautiful case that should last for years and give my guitar some very attractive protection. Again, the look and quality are very close to the Gibson case and I am quite pleased.

Now I'm off to the store to buy some vanilla air freshener.

the thought of lugging around a Les Paul on stage again...ugh. But last year I did just that ..the Limited Edition Les Paul+ les goldtop with P-90s ...it weighs 8oz less then my ash bodied Tele'. I bought it at Sweetwaters Gearfest...The case however....well big rectangular gold brick...All the history books showed this great instrument cased in brown,with hot pink interior...right??? Well Gibson does not have one at a reasonable rate...but Gator did.It fits my goldtop perfectly...and it looks the part....

First things first... The customer service at Sweetwater is second to none. Brent was apparently the customer service rep assigned to me. Literally, WITHIN MINUTES of placing my order, he called to thank me for my business and to see if there always anything else he could assist with. There were several follow ups and if every experience is like the one I had, there is no need to shop anywhere else for musical gear.

The case itself is decent...especially for the money. I have three of the Brown Gibson
cases and this is a solid substitute. But make no mistake about it....this is not the Gibson case. The latches aren't terrible but they aren't nearly as heavy, rugged or durable as the Gibson case. Love the bright pink inside and the overlay....just like in the original. But everything is just a little inferior in quality...as you would expect from an item that's half the price. I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a reasonably priced replacement.

I have 2 of these cases and one fits a lot better than the other. The neck is not supported at all without the lid closed, either the cushion under the body is too much or the padding under the neck supports needs to be more. My feeling is it is a little of both but mostly it needs more neck support. The guitar moves around with the case closed and the latches do not seem to lock well. But the other case I have has none of these problems and fits either guitar well.

This case is extremely well built. The materials used are first class. My ESP Eclipse fits perfectly into this case. The pink interior is always an attention grabber. I love my case and I show it off as much as possible. Sweetwater always delivers with quality merchandise and awesome customer service. I had read reviews stating that an Epiphone Les Paul would not fit in this case. My Epiphone 56 Gold Top RI fits perfect. I love it.

This is a nice case. The Lining is very soft. the cover is a nice touch. For the price I expected the guitar to fit a little more snugly. The guitar most certainly doesn't flop around, its just not as tight as I expect it should be for this price.

I originally bought this case for my ESP EC-1000. When I got the case, the guitar did not fit very well. It was way too loose inside and I didn't feel comfortable carrying it around in it. I was going to return it, but I tried my Les Paul it the case and it fit great. So I just switched cases. I didn't want the bulky ESP case and this worked out great. The case it's self is beautiful. Very vintage looking. Prenty of padding on the inside and room to store extras. Definitely recomend this case. I checked out other cases and this one was the best for the price.

Most of us do not drop our guitars out of a Jumbo jet cargo hold onto the runway, we take a little care. For everyday, normal use, this is everything you need to look after your pride and joy. Buying it from Sweetwater is always a plus.

I bought this case after being led to believe from the seller that my Epi Les Paul would fit tight & snug. It did not. Not even close. Very loose fit. I returned it the day I recieved it.

When I ordered my Les Paul I intended to buy the Epiphone case but it was out of stock and since I wanted the guitar shipped in the case I looked at the other options. This case is very well made and fits the guitar perfectly. The interior is extremely soft and well padded and the accessory compartment is very spacious. I would recommend this case for anyone looking for a Les Paul case.

Could not have been happier with this purchase. Fits my Gibson Les Paul Studio like a glove. Nice snug fit with no movement, not too tight and not too loose. Padding in all the right places, a very well thought out case. Nicely constructed, cool interior (hot pink by the way), latches are an upgrade to some of the other cases in this price range, good solid hinges, brown exterior covering very durable and adds a nice overall look to the case. Looks like it should last for many years to come.
