I was surprised at how light and thin this case is. It is generic, so it will not prevent all movement within it, but I just need it for keeping my bass protected while storing it at home. I will probably get another one or two so all of my basses have a permanent home. I may also replace one of my plastic shell Gator cases that has cracked with one of these.

If you're looking for a case that fits a Danelectro baritone guitar, this one is it. It might be a couple inches too long but the width and depth are perfect. The only problem is you'll need a towel or something to prevent the guitar from sliding up and down. But if you own one of these baritones you know it's pretty much impossible to find a hard case for it. So having to put something in there to prevent it from sliding doesn't bother me at all. I took off half a star because it isn't made of the best materials, but what you get is good for the price point.

It's working out great not to heavy. Plush interior cradles my bass. Just great over all. Has the sweet water sticker on it

The bass guitar case is great, better than I expected. Seems to be good quality and will last a life time. I'm very pleased with the case and the way Sweetwater handled my phone call and the fast delivery. This is the second time I've ordered from Sweetwater and ha been pleased both times. The case is great except for one thing. It only has 2 feet on the bottom when you sit it down, handle up. You have to be careful, especially if you're even on a small grade or a slight uneven area. I think this is a flaw and should be looked into by Gator. There should be 2 feet on each end for more stability.

I got this case to carry a bass guitar that has a slightly wider bout on the lower part of the body. Most cases I looked at weren't quite wide enough for my bass, but the Gator GWE-BASS case fits it like a glove. I've got Gator cases for various musical equipment and I have never been disappointed.

I use this with a Schecter CV4. The bass will move around in the case. It does so almost every time. It has yet to present any kind of problem though. The freedom of movement isn't exactly stellar for that big bass in that little case. Don't expect a nice snug fit, but it is a hard case that can stand up to a moderate pounding. A flight this is not: pony up a solid $ at least if that is what you expect. And often companies would like to charge prices that high or close to it for a "molded" case specific to your bass. Good luck with that. I have found that many of those are just hard plastic that looks good. This case is wood. You can feel it.

This is a great case and awesome for the price. One of the latches doesn't line up perfectly, so I have to be careful closing it. The little feet on the latch side are not even, so it doesn't really balance standing up on its side, but it's fine flat on the ground or leaning against something. Otherwise, it is sturdy, has a nice feel, and fits my bass well. I see it lasting a long time. The inner compartment holds all my accessories, extra strings, and misc items.

For being an "economy" bass case, I feel like this case actually provides a slight deluxe-type quality. It's felt interior feels super nice and sits the bass down real easy, and it has plenty of space on both upper and lower decks for cables and smaller pedals. Not to mention the middle interior compartment, which is a great space for smaller accessories that I like to use for an extra string pack, extra picks, and my small set of wireless receivers as it holds everything nice and steady ensuring that nothing falls out of place.

Solid case overall. It beats out the competition at the some price point like the roadrunner RRDWB. The inside is more supportive. I got this for a Squire Affinity Series Jazz bass and it's a good fit. My only issue with the case is that the part where the neck rests there is a bit of wiggle room, but being a universal case I guess that's too be expected.

I purchased this product for a P bass "tribute build" to transport the instrument back and forth to my luthier. The item was selected because the desired Fender Classic Series Wood Case for P/J Basses wasn't in stock at the time.

While the product quality of the Gator case is reasonable for the price point, the case doesn't provide a snug, protective fit for either P or J basses. As a result, I sent the Gator case back and purchased the Fender once it was back in stock.

Bottom-line, a good, generic case for the value.

I needed a hard case for my Gretsch G2220 short scale. I play this bass 'cos I'm a bass player with short stubby fingers not able to play normal 33" + scale bases and I need a short scale 30" bass. Besides, I can move my fingers faster over the shorter scale. No one seems to make a hard case specific for this G2220 guitar. I emailed Gretsch - no reply. Sweetwater recommended the GWE-Bass as a "good fit". I purchased the case based on this recommendation and yes, it turned out to be a good fit, probably closer to an excellent fit. The case is very sturdy, well constructed, and good value. I'm very happy with it. Great job Sweetwater, you know your business.

Great inexpensive bass case.

Not too bad, but you get what you pay for, so I'm not complaining. I would not want to tour with it, but to keep the dust off my bass, it will do quite nicely.

I recently purchased a G&L bass from Sweetwater and needed a decent bass hard case but didn't want to spend a fortune. I had purchased a Gator wood and Tolex case from Sweetwater before so I had no reservations about buying another one. Don't let the word "economy" give you the wrong impression. It's a great case and great quality, considering the price. No, it's not as nice as my $200 cases but it only cost half as much. It's not quite as heavy duty as some of my other tolex cases but it's not as heavy either! You won't find a better hard case at the price point of the Gator GWE-BASS case. It's well made, looks good, has four latches (one locking) has adequate padding and a large storage compartment. I do like my more expensive cases better, but considering what you get for the price, I definitely recommend this case.

A very sleek, modern-looking case. Will hold pretty much any bass you can imagine, and a huge pick-box. Just got it, but optimistic about endurance. Can't beat it for the price.

We had a like-new bass guitar donated recently that needed a case. Chris Carter recommended the Gator case and the guitar fits like it was made for it.
The case is not too heavy, looks and handles great. And it was a great value considering our limited budget.

I have owned many bass guitars and also the cases that go with them. I bought this case for a Squier
Vintage Jazz Bass Guitar which retailed a bit over $500.00 which for is not a lot of money for
some people but it is for the average Joe who wants a quality bass without the quality price..
This is true also with the Gator Bass Case which has all the look and functions of a Fender Bass Case
without the price tag. I travel with it a lot and it keeps up with any cases I have owned before.
I also have a Rickenbacker Bass ad case and the gator can stand proud...The locking latches really
work better than the Rick or the Fender and it is lightweight and durable..I recommend for it for
novice players as well as the pros..For the price you cant go wrong...!!!

Excellent case, just perfect for my Yamaha TRBX 305. Case and bass stays in my studio, I wouldn't take to gigs unless it travels in the backseat of my car.
