If anyone is wondering if this case is a good fit for a Rickenbacker 4001 bass. It is.

Very nice looking well built old school case at a competitive price.

The case showed up in real quick time.It is perfect no flaws and fits my Fender Modern Player Jazz Fretless bass perfectly.Interior is well padded and the pocket holds the neck in good and tight.Same case also holds my Player Plus Precision just as nicely.The lid closes tightly and is a very nice appearance wise too.Great product!

If you are looking for a case to fit your Fender Alternate Reality Electric XII, this is the one. The GWE-BASS should fit as well.

I only wish it looked a little more like the case that my 1965 Fender Jazz came in. My '65 Jazz had the black Fender wooden case with the orange interior. This is a great case but my '65 was stolen in 1976 and the case with it. The Gator case has corners that are more square than the Fender one and it's also a bit thicker overall, but it is very well made and I am very pleased with it. Yeah...somewhere down the road I probably will get a Fender case but it was about $100 more than this case, and this case wasn't cheap.

The ABS plastic case (a hard soft-case if you will) that my '82/'83 Fender Jazz Bass came in has served me well since I bought it the bass in 1985 but, I broke off one of the button-type legs on it exposing the inner foam and the shell is pulling away from the body a bit. Makes it look a bit like a big 2-foot blister in the face of the top. So it was time to get a new one and I really wanted the deluxe wood-type case instead of an ABS plastic with foam one again.

I knew the Gator would be a nice case because I have a Gator road-rack that I keep my Eden WT500/800 amp in. Fit and finish on this case is great with the neck support in a good spot and padding to hold the body in place when it's closed. There's enough room in the flip-open compartment to hold my Line6 G50 wireless plus spare cable and micro-fiber cleaning cloth. I am a DNA endorsing artist and I still haven't put a DNA sticker on it yet. Have to pick out the perfect spot to affix it, but for the moment I'll just admire its good looks and excellent protection.

I bought this case for a Fender Precision bass, but when it arrived, I decided to try my ESP Stream bass on a whim. It fit like a glove. I've been having trouble tracking down the official form-fit ESP case, but now I don't need one. The bass doesn't move a millimeter in this case. It's perfect.

Shortly after purchasing this case, the bass neck started slapping around inside, not being kept stable the way it should by the yoke in the center of the case. It seems the dimensions of the case are off, allowing excessive movement, and/or the foam is too soft, not providing enough support.
Either way, the case is poor. I would not recommend it, and it my experience with it has turned me away from Gator products.

This case is really nice for the money! its better quality then I thought it would be for the price! I went to gators site and you put in the instrument you have and they recommended this case. I then went to the sewing store and bought a pack of cushion foam and cut out about what the top of the thumb is like and now it does not move at all in the case and fits like a glove......thats pretty much what warwick gives you when you buy their cases is extra pieces for your bass to fit. the lid closes and feels really good with the bass in there!

Bought this case for a 4001 Rickenbacker bass, and the fit is perfect !!! I just didn't think I could get this nice of a case for so little money !!! great price sweetwater---thanks !!!
