When you take rackmount gear out on tour, you'd better make sure your investment is well protected by a rugged case. The G-Tour 4U has front and back rack rails, 9mm plywood construction, recessed latches and handles, heavy duty chrome plated hardware and special spring loaded handles that offer maximum "on-the-road" protection for any rackmount gear up to 17 inches deep (with lid removed).
Shoddy Construction
Looks nice from the outside, but inside there are many examples of shoddy construction. I can't mount the intended hardware because the rack sides are far out of parallel. I'm returning this. It used to be that you could count on Gator for good quality. Those days are apparently over.

Quality is good. The box is strong enough to use as a chair. It is really big though (This is my mistake - the dimensions were listed).
A case for my Amp
Very nice case and deep enough for my rebuilt Crown K1. Last case I'll probably ever need.
Built for the road
This case is rugged....heavy wood and solid hardware. Latches are secure and handles are comfortable. Rack rails on front and rear. Attention to detail all the way down to the lid locking tabs for a small padlock. Bought this in a package with my X32 to house a 32 channel digital snake. Now I"m looking to replace my amp racks with these as well
