Fender Mustang GTX-7 Footswitch
Wet cool addition to the the already awesome Fender Mustang GTX series amp. I mostly use it for the looper, seeing that I am usually playing in my living room and not on stage. But if I was on stage, the foot switch would be a must to use for switching to a different preset!! Excellent purchase and NO ONE gives you a better deal or buying experience than Sweetwater!!
If you are considering purchasing this item from them, GO GOR IT!! You won't be disappointed!
Easy to Use and Very Handy
This really opens up the options on the Mustang GTX. I don't know why it didn't come with instructions (they are in the GTX's manual, also available on the Fender site), but it was easy to figure out. It's worth it for the looping feature alone.
Awesome addition!
Great footswitch! Versatile and easy to use. If you are gigging with it you will want to set it up (program) what you are going to use. There are downsides. The footswitch will scroll through all presets by number, not by name. this is why you will want to program your favorites or make a numbered list with the corresponding preset name. Again, great footswitch.
Fender GTX-7 really unlocks the potential of this amp!
Just know that the hundred dollars you spend on this footswitch will save you hundreds if not thousands in pedals, boards and accessories!
The footswitch is nice for changing presets, and the tap/long press to change banks is nice. The looper and tuner functions are also great; but for my money it's when you use this along with Fender's Tone app to explore and download custom presets into your empty slots. You'd be amazed at how seamless practice can be when you have custom banks loaded for all your strat, tele, & acoustic tones.
I'd highly recommend this footswitch for anyone willing to learn to use it, it's a fun piece of gear.
Fender Mustang GTX
Indispensable accessory for the Fender Mustang GTX amplifier. Gives you the ability to quickly move between settings and turn effects on/off. Key feature for me is the Looper. For example, it allows me to lay down up to a 60 second chord progression that I can then use to experiment with various riffs or solos. Another nice Looper feature is the ability to record a loop with one of the preset settings then switch settings and play along using a completely different setting. Additionally you can use the Looper to record fills and/or rhythms to use for playback when recording or playing live. The Mustang GTX is an amazing piece of kit and the Foot Switch adds considerable flexibility and function. A Million dollars worof fun for $100 bucks.
GTX-7 with GT100
The pedal works just as stated in the description. This was a fantastic addition to my GT-100 and the pedal is very solid.
Can't go wrong!
I love this amp. I use it at home for its versatility.
Footswitch is good. Throw the cable away.
This footswitch does exactly what it was designed to do. I found only three issues with it. 1) The provided cable is junk. Just throw it in the trash. I haven't had one issue since using a Mogami cable 2). The banks change slower than I'd like them to when going from a higher numbered preset to a lower one, but not a deal breaker. and 3) The stomp buttons are louder than any others I've heard. All in all, it's worth the price.
DecentFootswitch
Does everything it should. Only complaint is footswitch stomp buttons are loud. Looper is nice! I still would have bought this if I had demoed it first.
