Very Nice Bass

By Sweetwater Customer on February 20, 2024

Lightweight, well balancer with a slender neck for a 5 string. Great quality and price. I'm truly enjoying it.

This Bass is AMAZING

By Sweetwater Customer from West Virginia on July 13, 2022

Great tone, sound and the phat 2 eq gives it a great boost. I was impressed how beautiful this bass is compared to the pictures(which do it no justice). I bought the natrual grey burst and the quality and craftsmanship are superb.
5 stars across the board. Another great quality from Ibanez.

Awesome

By Aaron from PNW on June 24, 2022 Music Background: Jazz band, metal band

The value of this bass is insane. I've played bases cost 2x this and play half as well. Didn't have to make any adjustments, strings are decent. All around I love this thing.

Incredible!

By Abiel Martinez from Etna, ME on November 15, 2021

I bought this bass guitar to add to my collection and to enjoy the addition of the 5th string to my playing. I play multiple instruments in our worship team at church. I love this bass. It is such outstanding quality, as with all Ibanez guitars. This is easy on the hands with a thin neck and quality fretwork not often found on guitars at this price point. I love the added richness and power achieved with the active pickups and the PHAT EQ. This has alot of tone variations for any style of playing. It is perfect for the worship venue as we play everything from contemporary, southern gospel to traditional Hymnal music. I just am in love with this guitar. You won't be dissapointed.

Holy Gosh Gee Wiz!

By Papagalaxy on September 19, 2021 Music Background: Slappa the bass for 20 years

I don't write reviews. Two words. Worth it! You're getting way more for the price in my opinion. Great set up by Sweetwater!

Excellent

By Jeff from South Carolina on April 16, 2019 Music Background: 28 years metal guitars and vocals as hobby, from Sabbath to Morbid Angel, I listen to and play it all.

Feels and sounds like $1000 worth of bass... I am writing an album for fun. The guitars and bass are 7 and 5 string B tuned for the most part, vocals done in traditional metal style. This bass is fitting perfectly with my writing and recording.

GSR205SM 5 STRING BASS

By STEVE CARLSON from United States, Ashville N.Y. on January 16, 2015 Music Background: have been playing since 1988. played with several bands, now in a praise band and play out at festivals or when needed.

i GOT THIS BASS TO BOTH TRY A 5 STRING, AND TO GIVE MY VINTAGE 73 GUILD GS2 A TRAVEL BREAK .I LOVE THE GUITAR IN EVERY WAY. THE TONE IS GREAT AND VERY ADAPTABLE TO VARIOUS STYLES OF PLAYING.THE GUITAR FEELS AND LOOKS GREAT. I PLAYED IT OUT AT A CHURCH FUNCTION AND GOT" THE LOOK" FROM ALLTHE OTHER BAND MEMBERS WHEN THE LOW B BLASTED OUT .I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH AND COMPARASINS BEFORE BUYING THIS BASS AND IT WAS A GREAT DEAL. I WOULD RECCOMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO EITHER WANTS TO TRY A 5 STRING OR WANTS A QUALITY INSTRUMENT AT A VERY GOOD PRICE. I GOT THIS FROM SWEETWATER AND WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRICING, AND FOLLOWUP ON THE EXPERIENCE. CHRIS S, YOURE THE MAN! IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING THIS AXE, GO AND TRY IT AND I WILL BET YOU WILL LIKE IT. IT TRAVELS WITH ME 1-2 X A WEEK AND ALWAYS HOLDS A TUNE, AND IT WAS -18 DEGREES OUT LAST WEEK.

Great Bass for the Money

By Dan Arioli from Irving, TX on December 15, 2016 Music Background: 10+ years playing guitar, bass, drums

This is a super-slick playing bass for the money--couldn't possibly beat it. It's easy to get the action as low as you want, and it stays in tune beautifully. The pickups are a little dark than I would like, but they sound great and could easily be swapped out for more jazz-bass-ish sounding soapbars. The active circuit is great for adding a little growl to your sound. All in all, a great instrument for the money, and super fun to play.
