I preferred the 25" width of some of the competitors but in the end the 39" width was perfect so I don't have to worry that I'm going to clang two of them together.
I also liked the one-fold and your done approach - I'm not good with assembly instructions.

This is a great stand and I appreciate the neck clamps can move up or down which allows the rack to store guitars in or out of their case.

This stand is exactly what you need. I got it with the expansion pack(2 more separators) and have 7 assorted guitars on it. I could easily add 2 more LP/Strat type of guitars, or sub 2 or 3 acoustics, bass,etc. No assembly-just folds open out of the box! The additional dividers are split ring so they just go right over the top and bottom bars.

I love this stand. I use it in my guitar room at home. It is very roomy for the acoustic guitars and does fine with the solid body. I think I could add one or two more electric guitars with the add on gadgets. I may do that. I'm thinking about getting a bass.

I have messed around with various types of guitar stand. And I know what you're thinking, "I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a guitar stand!" Well after broken stands, lost pieces, etc. I bought this Hercules stand and haven't had to look back. Yes it is more expensive, but will save you money in the long run because you won' have to by 50 crappy guitar stands that you break every other gig.

Good product. If you buy and install extra yokes it can handle 10 slim electrics.

It's really great for standard guitar sizes and shapes. LPs, Strats, acoustic, etc. But it is not universal. I have a Dean ML (think Dime's guitar), and it is very tricky to get on and off. It is very close to not fitting at all. Hopefully the picture illustrates.

Not scoring it down, but just beware. Stick with a Hercules single stand if you have something like that.

I first purchased the 3 stall rack and it does a good job keeping guitars in place securely with the spacers. Hercules did the heavy lift to improve a great design. The concept of spacers is groundbreaking for rack storage to keep your guitars stable.

I kept putting off getting a real rack for my guitars because, honestly, I figured it wouldn't make that much difference.
Man, was I wrong.

The Hercules GS525B is one of those things where the second you set it up (which took like 30 seconds, seriously), you wonder why you didn't do it way sooner. No tools, no fighting with pieces — it just folds out and boom, instant home for your guitars.

I'm using it for a few different electrics right now, including my Squier Affinity that I've been slowly upgrading piece by piece. Everything fits like a glove, even my bass fits without any weird angles. The foam padding feels solid — I'm not worried about dings or scratches anymore every time someone walks by.

It's surprisingly lightweight but doesn't feel flimsy at all. Loaded it up, gave it a little shove just to see, and it barely wobbled. Huge improvement over balancing guitars against chairs (don't judge, we've all been there).

The only small thing? If you've got some big hollow-bodies or extra wide acoustics, it gets a little cozy — but for regular electrics and basses, it's perfect.

Bottom line: It made my whole room look cleaner, made me feel way more organized, and gave me a little extra pride every time I look over and see my guitars properly lined up.
If you've got more than two guitars, just get this. You'll thank yourself every time you walk into the room.

Stand is sturdily built, sets up easily, and is just the right size.

I'm going to be the first to write a critical review for this thing on here. This is because I have one of these and there are problems it has that they need to address.

First of all, this thing is huge. It can hold 7 electric guitars easily. Why it doesn't it come with more spacers to begin with? Corporate greed? When it says "5 guitars" they really mean 5 acoustic guitars.
It also takes up way more floor space than it needs to, because of angle the guitars are at, and for basses with longer necks it's even worse, which means you have to bring the stand away from the wall quite a bit to prevent the headstocks from hitting it. Having a steeper angle with G-shaped neck slots could fix this.

Second, the spacers really don't hold their positions, and the extra pack you can buy REALLY don't because they are made differently. They sit lose on the top bar, so they slide back and forth and sometimes will turn down, letting one guitar fall into the others. This is a real problem. The top bar should have had ridges the spacers could "click" into, preventing any movement. The bottom spacers slide back and forth just as easily, and the material they are made out of protects against you dusting them properly. Just get used to having a dusty stand.

Lastly, this thing is really expensive, but for some reason the 3 rack guitar stand is just as expensive? The pricing for this item really makes no sense. I'd rather recommend the 3 guitar stand with the additional spacers to make it a 5 guitar stand, but it's just not worth the price when you can just buy this.

I use this in my music room to avoid hanging more guitar. Ample separation between guitars so they don't bang against each other. The only area that could be improved would be the neck bracket. They don't tighten up, so you have to be careful not to bump them or they'll rotate on the upper rail.

This thing could easily fit 5 dreadnought acoustics, but I don't need that. What I *do* need is a rack that'll hold my Strandbergs without letting them hit the floor, and this one does that very well! Zero assembly required, folds flat, and could probably hold 10 electrics with ease if you buy the expansion yokes.

I always read the 1-3 star reviews before buying a product just to see what issues people have. Good reviews don't seem to help as those people are happy with the product. This is a five star so if you are not reading this, then not a big deal. I am overall happy with the product and Sweetwater is as always an excellent source for my guitars and accessories. Stands are already assembled and ready for use. Bought five and all are level on the floor and everything is as described with the product. As always, a happy customer. I was looking at cheaper priced stands; however, I am glad I went with the Hercules brand.

Great rack for Guitar and Bass. Needs to be offset form any wall just a little bit if you're putting bass guitars in it, but it works exactly as intended.

I've never had a multi-guitar rack before, but I am certainly glad I got this one. Came straight out of the box and ready to fold out. Five guitars of my guitars that are of various sizes fit nicely, and now I'm thinking about getting one more of these, in order to better consolidate my collection. A definite recommend!

I've been looking for a long time for a cost effective Multi Stand to hold my guitars WITH THEIR CASES. This Hercules is perfect! Holds my cases and the frame allows to not need to have my cases touch the wall AND also to hold the guitars at the ends with the frame. Simply the best stand ever! Sweetwater and Hercules are the best!

When You have so many guitars and have lots of individual stands, this helps a lot to simplify and open up some space. No putting it together. Right out of the box, unfold and ready to go! Nice and sturdy build and guitars sit in there nice and secure. Good padding so guitar will not get scratched. Highly recommend!

I ordered two racks. They arrived within two days. Ready to go straight out of the box (with four additional yokes). This product is nice and sturdy. Saved lots of room with the five strats, four semi-hollow bodied and one Les Paul that I own. So, if you're for a reasonably-priced guitar rack that's not cheap in quality, this is the one!

Safe and easy access to my guitars at both live shows and at rehearsal. Nice stand built well like all Hercules products. Folds up nice and easy to load up for the next show.

This rack looks good and feels sturdy. The foam has a nice amount of "grip" and there are small spacers to prevent the guitars from sliding sideways. My only wish item would be some sort of clasps or guards on the neck cradles just in case the headstocks were bumped from the opposite side of the rack (maybe these are available somewhere, or…I suppose you could just throw some rubber bands on. Either way, good value and would buy this again.

This stand is big and sturdy. If you're skilled enough to unfold a lawn chair, then you'll have no trouble setting this up. It fit perfectly in the corner of my room and looks great full of guitars. Offering 5 spaces initially, all the guides can be adjusted to accommodate varying guitar sizes with room to spare. Additional sections can be added as needed (awesome), but the tighter you pack them in the more difficult to remove without bumping other guitars (obvious). They don't give these away, but the quality is there. No regrets on the purchase, and I would recommend to anyone with extra guitars lying around.

The Hercules GS525B guitar stand is a very well built and versatile option for storing your guitars. Some stands I looked at seemed flimsy but not so with the Hercules. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Holds 5 guitars of various sizes securely, no assembly required, just unfold. Don't use it as a travel/stage stand but it would great if necessary.

I keep the instruments in their cases so I don't know how well the neck holders work to secure an instrument. This has worked great to keep the cases out of the way and I never feel as if the rack is going to tip over or if the cases will fall out.

I had all my guitars on single stands and it took up a ton of space. I saw this stand and thought I would give it a try. It took longer to get it out of the box than it did to set it up.

This one's a keeper. It's a bit more expensive, but if you're a regularly gigging musician,this one will hold-up over the long haul. We use two of them to hold both guitarists electrics and acoustic guitars, plus my basses.
We gig every weekend, including Friday evening shows and have never had an issue. Just check the screw hardware every couple of weeks, as the nuts can loosen after the rack has been folded and unfolded tens of times over a period of several weeks. This is true of ALL racks that fold. My only regret is in trying to save money by ordering cheaper racks off Amazon that arrive with stripped hardware, or had screw hardware loosen up every weekend because the tubing was so thin and weak that it flattens out when the screws are torqued. The Hercules rack won't do that. It's a pro-level rack. That's my opinion anyway.

I'm quite pleased with this stand, I currently have 5 electrics in it and there's room for at least two more. The only downside is that it won't hold an acoustic if it's up against a wall because the lower bout is too wide. It shouldn't be an issue if you don't have the rack right against a wall though.

Fun story. Few years back we had to unload our gear on the side of the road to get tools for fixing an engine problem. After resolving the engine problem, we loaded up and someone forgot to put the guitar stand back. As we drove off we ran it over in just the perfect way so that it shot up a few feet in the air behind the car. Not a single thing damaged. Buy this and you'll never need another.

The stand works great and seems to be well made. As you can tell, I've got a variety of shapes in it, and they all sit perfectly. I mainly posted the picture so you could see how the Flying V sat, as I wasn't sure it was going to work.

It's quite simply great no learning curve involved. I have 7 guitars on it and possibly room for another.

Finally ditched the individual stands and stopped leaning guitars on amps. Fits perfectly in the corner and with a couple HA205 extension yokes, it fits seven guitars comfortably, including one acoustic. Highly recommended.

Its simple, this rack is just amazing. I'm able to safely store my guitars, even my Rhoads with no problems what so ever. The pick slots are a plus as well.

I've tried 3 other brands but nothing compares to the engineering of this Hercules stand. It's incredibly sturdy and the spacing is more than adequate to place guitars on the rack with the tremolo bar installed without knocking into the guitar in front of it, like the other brands.

This rack is simply the best. Easy to transport because it folds flat. It is a stable platform for all your cherished guitars. Just a simple, smart design.

This is my second Hercules 5 guitar stand. I've been very pleased with my first one and needed another one. It's sturdy, has padding that won't harm nitro- cellulose finishes, and can actually hold more than 5 guitars. You do need the expansion kit for that, but it is easy to use and works great.

Sweetwater's price on this stand beats many local shops I've been to that carry base-level designs from brands like Fender/etc. running at least $30-$50 more! Super sturdy, and if you have thin-body guitars like bass/electrics, you'll likely be able to squeeze in more than 5.

This is a much better way to have my arsenal of guitars and basses at hand and ready to play at a moment's notice.

After buying a similar rack elsewhere and returning it because it seemed like an accident waiting to happen, I found this one. (Note to self: always, always, always check Sweetwater first.) It's STURDY. I do wish it had something to hold the necks in place given that I live with dogs, but I can make something to attach. I've had this for a couple of months now, and I recently ordered the extension pieces. It currently holds two acoustics and three electrics, and there is easily room for one more.

Impressive for the money. Comes fully assembled and folds up if necessary. Easily holds 4 of my acoustics and then my electric with room for more. I did order the extension yoke as there is room for at least one more guitar without crowding. Only criticism is that you have to make sure the base of the rack is 6 inches or so from the wall or the head stocks of the guitars will bang into the wall. If you lean the guitars forward to avoid this problem then the guitars come out of the yoke and fall over. Same problem if the rack gets bumped. Would be nice is there was a securing device on the yoke. Otherwise, a good value.

This rack will hold more than 5 axes. I've got 6 basses and a Strat on mine and there's room for at least 2 more solid bodies. Easy to use, sets up instantly and the expansion packs can be installed without tools.

I purchased two racks and what a space saver. I put away my guitar stands and transfered my guitars to the racks. I have better access to the guitars and don't have worry about a stand falling over. I have better access to my amps and sound system. I pretty much buy all my gear from Sweetwater. My Sales Engineer,Caleb Lowry, never steers me wrong.

Works well! Simply had to remove it from the box and unfold it. Between the U-shaped neck holders and the idea that the guitars lean in toward the rack, I'm feeling pretty safe leaving my Les Paul in the rack where I'm more likely to grab it and play (vs in the case). Someone would have to purposely knock it out of the rack. With the weight of a couple guitars in it, the rack won't be knocked over easily. I'd feel even safer if there was a clip or strap to secure the neck in the U-shaped holder. I might devise something like that or possibly just loop something like a bungee cord around the neck and the horizontal post. Only one of my guitars is acoustic; so there's more than enough room for five guitars total. I would have gone with the smaller 3-guitar rack; but with the sale price, this literally was only a couple dollars more. So I'll continue to keep an eye open for pawn / consignment shop finds (that's how I got my acoustic) as well as good deals at Sweetwater. It's nice to know that parts are available to add spots for more guitars if the obsession goes that far. If I stick with just the one acoustic, I'm guessing the rack has space for a couple more electrics, for six electrics total plus the acoustic, if they're all solid bodies. I'm not as confident of that if a semi-hollow or two is thrown into the mix. Especially considering the sale price, I'm very happy with it.

I got the 3 guitar stand but soon needed the 5. Thry are light, fold up, and strong. I keep mine on a table because of my dog, a Pitbull who plays and could bump them. At Sweetwater both sizes are about the same price.

As a guitarist/musician for more the sixty (60) years, I have played in every situation imaginable; and I can say that a guitar floor stand is a virtual necessity. Whether it be for a single instrument or multipes they are built to do the job. Portable , lght weight and made of protective material, don't settle for less. Hercules! (Proud owner for 30 years.)

I don't know what the reviews you're talking about this rack is super sturdy especially if you have just acoustic guitars like I do put together in 2 minutes and it looks and works great

I was looking for a budget friendly option for storing and displaying my guitar collection and came across these stands. They are great. They are storable when not in use (fold up and can be put in closet or under the bed) and expandable with the optional yoke add on kits. I started with trying one stand and have ended up with 4 of them. I added some cotton baby mitten socks to the yokes just in case and wrapped the bottoms with cotton towels for my nitro guitars.

The stand was very simple to set up. You can adjust it to fit your different guitars. Just what I was looking for.

I actually play more now that my guitars are sitting at the ready in this rack that I should have bought years ago!!

Really like this stand. I have 1 Acoustic, 1 bass, and 5 electric guitars and still have space for 1 or even 2 more if I wanted. My only "issue" with it is the holders that go around the neck of the guitar are just held in place by friction. The additional ones you can purchase have a bolt and nut to keep them locked in place. I wish they all had the bolt and nut but they really don't move around much so its not the end of the world. Overall, I really like this stand, the price is great and it saves space. Would definitely buy again!

This stand works great even with my large Fender J Bass. I loved that it folds up for easy transport and no assembly was required. The construction feels sturdy and strong but is still very light. This is a great space saver.

If you have a home studio or you call it a music room and a few guitars/basses this is perfect. this stand saves space, looks and functions exactly as it should and as another reviewer said you play those guitars that were in the closet will be played again. I wish i got one of these a long time ago, as it is rock solid and probably wouldnt tip if someone tripped over the thing. Great low center of gravity keeps it stable. I usually run about 3 guitars during a show and i have a lot of confidence that they're safe on this stand. Unfortunately my lead vocalist was using a cheaper stand during our last show and now he's planning a trip to Nashville to have his Luthier reattach his headstock, which will cost him a lot more than the price of this stand.

I have a few single-guitar stands from Hercules and really like them. As the collection grew I thought I'd upgrade to this 5-guitar stand. It is very lightweight and extremely easy to fold and transport, but as a more permanent storage solution I didn't like the folding headstock/neck holders as much as the single-guitar stands. Although the plastic holders are decent, they're not as soft as their cushioned counterparts, and fold almost too easily. Instead the 5-guitar stand has become a very useful part of our live shows where we can just bring one stand for everyone instead of having multiple tripods set up. Still looking for a more permanent solution for the home.

This stand is the perfect solution for me. Standard, short scale, and bass all fit perfectly in this stand.

I really was looking for away to have my guitars where I could just grab and play. This stand did the job well.

I was fearful on the purchase, but on reception and trying the stand out, it is wonderful. It reduces the floor space I had to use with individual stands. Everything said and shown was spot on.

I have a lot of guitar stands :-) While I prefer my guitars on individual stands, they have bred and overrun the place. I tried another multi-guitar stand, and while it is fine (they, as I got two), they are not nearly so stable, nor as easily moved as this one, which is solid and easily portable. The other multi-stands I got also block the guitars. This one is sitting out in the living room, right now, and the guitars are easily admired by everyone who visits. Though, mostly, my visitors are non-musicians who mock me for having too many guitars :-( Their ignorance is in no way a reflection on this stand, though. An amazing value, as it is less than a third the price I paid for my other two stands, and, as I said more portable and more stable. Highly recommended.

This is a decent enough stand, though it isn't as well built as some of Hercules' other stands. Mine came a tiny bit bent and was kind of a pain to get to sit flat on a level floor. When unfolded, it takes up a surprising amount of room; it's deeper than my guitar boat foldout cases. Additionally, the angle the guitars are kept at makes their headstocks stick back further than the back of the stand, so you can't push it up flush with a wall. Next time I'll just get a gator case.

Wish I had done this a long time ago. Easy set-up, really nothing TO set up. Everything is in place, just slide the instrument holders where you want them. I DID end up ordering one more set so I could put 6 guitars on this rack. Just too easy

Stand is super simple and ready to go out of the box. The part that I like is it easily holds 5 guitars IN THEIR CASES!! I have two acoustics including a jumbo Epi EJ200-SCE in a full size case along with an APX-10 acoustic Yamaha in its case, a Carvin DC-400 in its hard case, An Ibanaez AM93ME semi-hollow body in its hard case and a Steinberger Spirit in a gig bag and I could easily fit another full size acoustic in a hard case. You just flip the top holder back for a case or forward for the guitar out of the case. The foam is very good and non-marking. Price is right and Sweetwater delivers on time every time. What's not to like?

In spring and summer when the humidity is right, the guitars come out of their cases and show off their beauty on the stand. When the cold weather arrives, they snuggle into their cases with their humidity packs and stay nice and properly humidified. Love it.

Great product! Holds 5 guitars, and for a few bucks more you can easily increase that to seven. Currently, I have two basses, one acoustic, and 4 electrics on this stand, and it makes everything in my studio more manageable and saves so much space compared to having all 7 guitars on individual stands. No assembly required whatsoever which is a big plus. All guitars are at least a couple of inches off of the floor. Sturdy, well-constructed product. This is my second one of these stands. They set up in 10 seconds and work great in a practice area, studio or wherever you need quick access.

An excellent rack. Like other reviewers have shown, it is expandable to hold more than 5 guitars or basses.

My 2 cent contribution is to show it does hold a Warlock guitar as well........but.....only facing to the left. Can't do it facing right. There will be no footing for the bottom points. And I suggest putting an extra piece of foam padding over the top bar as the upper horn of the guitar will touch it now and then.

I love this rack. So far I only have 6 guitar and 1 bass. As my collection grows I will get another.

Great Stand, Sturdy and easy to set up. Ordered the add-on extension yokes to fit 9 but it can easily fit 10.

I tried other metal foldable guitar racks and they were junk! The Hercules is sturdy, keeps your guitars safely in place and doesn't allow them to collide with each other. This rack can easily hold more than five guitars (if you buy the extra parts). If you need a rack I'd say you can't go wrong with this one.

This stand holds 5 basses perfectly! Heavy duty construction and easy set up. A jewel of a find!

I've been using this stand for about 5 years, to hold my electric guitars and basses. It's solid as a rock. And the cushioning is soft yet firm, allowing the guitar body and neck to settle into its spot, while not allowing it to budge. The padding is perfect to prevent scratches, etc. And the stand is not going anywhere once it's set up. I have never had an issue with the stand, and my guitars have been protected.

Nothing to set up, just open and set. Seems very well build. It has good protection for my guitars and plenty of space for up to 5 guitars. You can re-arrange it if your guitars are thicker. Very happy with this purchase.

First off, i love that this stand is ready right out of the box. All i had to do was open the box, slide it out and cut the plastic covering off. It unfolds and is ready to use immediately. I had purchased two other guitar racks prior to this one b/c everyone was out of the Hercules rack. I should've waited. The other two were a pain in the butt to put together and they're not sturdy at all. The Hercules rack is sturdy and built of high quality materials. It's lightweight without feeling cheap. I'm so glad this came back in stock!

The stand arrived promptly, required absolutely no assembly or instructions. Build quality is immediately evident, and the design is sufficiently strong. Mine currently holds two acoustics, two electrics, and a bass perfectly.

I just ordered this a couple of weeks ago. I used to use "hanger" stands, one for each guitar. When I need 5 guitars on stage (2 electrics and 3 acoustics), it started to take up too much room. This Hercules stand holds all five guitars in space of what two stands would use up on stage.

I cannot comment on the reliability as I just received it. It saves me a bunch of setup and tear down time over 5 individual stands, too.

Very sturdy, soft touchpoints, easy to fold when you need to travel or put it away, & even easier to unfold. The pick holders in the yokes are a really nice touch, as is the ability to purchase extra yokes & dividers to add capacity later.

Well built and saves space! What more can you ask for?in my pictures I was able to take another guitar out of the case. I have 6 on my stand and still space for more. I do think the expansion kit is a bit expensive... for 2 foam circles and the neck cradle. Overall happy with the purchase! The rubber feet do not let it slide at all. I was concerned about the headstocks hitting the wall but that won't be an issue as this thing won't move! ... a good price for it in my opinion. Happy with my purchase and would recommend!

In my one man do-it-all studio, I was tired of going to a closet, taking out a guitar from it's case and hooking up to record. Seems like a small inconvenience. With my Hercule's stand, I have my electric, acoustic and bass guitars always out and ready to use! Anything that makes workflow smoother is a great improvement in the studio. Very easy set up with adjustable sliders, so you can space your instruments as you'd like. As the picture shows, there is plenty of space for your axes. Mine has 3 solid body & 2 acoustic basses, with room to spare.

I was using wall mounts for my instruments to try to save some space, but my Strat slipped once and after that panic attack (luckily the guitar was fine!), I thought never again I'll look into some floor racks. This thing is portable, sturdy and does the job. Thanks again to Myron for getting this to me fast!

I have a couple of Hercules stands and think they're great (I never have to worry about an instrument with the auto-grip yokes), but they weren't working for squareneck instruments like dobro or lap steel, so I went looking for a side-loading rack and figured I'd try the Hercules, since I like their other stands so well. It turns out, though, the yokes on this rack won't work for squareneck instruments, either, so I had to return it. (I probably could have figured that out before ordering if I had looked at the pictures a little more closely.) For guitars, basses, banjos, etc., I think this would be a great piece of gear: relatively light-weight, and it folds down flat for transport, but seems totally solid and sturdy, too. Sweetwater was as great to work with on the return as they always are on sales.

This is my first shopping experience with Sweerwater. Easy to find what I was looking for. Although living in Canada, the shipping time was beyond my expectation (1 day). Paul LaFemina also contacted me to better understand my future needs.

Bottom line is that there are less expensive racks out there, but this one will last a long time. I don't travel with this, although it's quite portable if you're needing it for gigs. I have two of them, and they are much better than having those individuals stands all over the room. Fits all sizes, sets up instantly, no assembly required. Sweetwater's consultant, Logan, has really been helpful. Every company should follow this example.

The Hercules guitar stand is great. It is holding my 5 electric guitars. It was easy to setup with no assembly required. The stand is great quality and gets the job done.

With most products if it states it holds 5 guitars,that probably means 5 electrics. This rack is great,set up right out of the box. I have 3 acoustics in the cases and 2 out of the cases in the rack now and would bet it would hold all 5 in the cases on the rack. Great purchase and it was delivered to my door on a sunday..if you're looking to consolidate a few guitars on one rack, buy this one you won't regret it.

Have been borrowing stands and bit the bullet and bought this stand. Can't say enough great things about it. I have a Dean ml and even though I have to have it facing out it still works great in the stand with the rest of my electrics and my acoustic. No complaints at all love this stand

Perfect for my needs. I was able to fit all of my guitars on this rack with room to spare. I was even able to put my Kiesel Ultra-V comfortably on this rack. The set up was easy, just pull it out of the box and unfold it. I did add a couple of extra neck rests to fit more guitars, which was easy and still leaves more room. These stands are strong, and well built. Padded base will not scratch your guitars and accommodates electric or acoustic. With additional parts you can add 5 more guitars for 10 on a five guitar stand. Electrics are thinner then acoustics and take less space on the stand.

I keep my guitars in cases, so I needed a wide and heft stand to keep them all off the floor. This stand absolutely did the trick, and there was no setup required. Out of the box it just unfolds and is good to go. I am really impressed with these racks. I have 15 instruments (acoustic guitars, lap steels, solid body guitars, bass, banjo, mandolin) in my home studio. I use all the instruments frequently. Before discovering these racks I had everything sitting on individual stands, which was pretty cluttered. I called Sweetwater to talk with someone about the racks. The guy I talked with said he owned one and he had added a couple more holders to accommodate more guitars. I ordered two racks and five more holders. I've got seven slots on one rack and eight on the other one, all without crowing things together. I'm now able to walk around in my studio again without getting lost in a sea of guitars! Great product for anyone with a lot of instruments you want to be able to access quickly and also take maximum advantage of a limited amount of space.

The Hercules Guitar Rack is by far the best multi guitar rack I"ve ever used. As it is, it holds 5 guitars with room to spare. It weighs next to nothing but holds the guitars securely. It can be expanded to hold up to 10 guitars but I like the space between the 5 guitars so they aren"t banging into each other when removing or placing them. Combining acoustics and electrics is also not a problem. It also folds up for easy storage or transport.

The Hercules Stands Guitar Rack is Very well built and exceeds my expectations. I like the thick foam on the bottom (Thats safe for my les) and the rubber arms on the top. its wide enough to not have stability issues on old beat up stages on the local seen and its one piece and easy to fold up so I get off/on the stage quickly. GET IT!!

Awesome stand. Very sturdy, doesn't take up an unreasonable amount of space, and can easily be put away for storage. For assembly, all you have to do is unfold it.

I use at gigs and practices. Easily held four electrics and an acoustic. By easily I mean plenty of gap to leave whammy bars and straps attached without fear of bumping into other guitars. Solid and folds up very compact for transport.

Bought this to use on the platform at church. It securely holds my two guitars and our acoustic player"s two guitars with plenty of room to get them in and out as needed. It Is such an improvement visually and functionally over the multiples of traditional guitar stands that it replaced.

Works great with 5 guitars but I added the extension kit so now mine holds 3 electrics and 3 acoustic guitars. If you are using all electrics the stand would probably hold up to 8! Not much assembly required. You open it like a lawn chair and its ready to use... you just need to adjust the dividers. It looks great in my music room. Like a good, sturdy, and faithful dog it sits and stays where I say. It holds and protects my 2 electric and 2 acoustic-electric guitars, my 5-string banjo, and my didgeridoo (a birthday gift from my daughter, Samantha).

I finally decided to purchase a guitar rack after getting tired of having to open cases time after time. Matt Masek at Sweetwater suggested I try Hurcules guitar rack, I couldn"t be happier with my purchase. This rack sets up in seconds easy to adjust to accommodate acoustic guitars and extra yokes can be added for additional guitars. Sales Engineer Matt Masek is the best to work with and Sweetwater definitely has the best prices!!!

The rack comes completely assembled (unlike my other 5-space guitar rack). The top supports for the neck are soft plastic and don't harm the finish. The neck supports are adjustable side-to-side to allow spacing adjustment between guitars. It sets up quickly and can be folded away quickly, and it is lightweight and sturdy. It is worth the money.

I took my time, thinking that I wanted another rack, reading reviews of all the racks, chose this one after reading those. One of the reasons that I chose this rack, is that it lifts the guitars off the floor, allowing air circulation below and behind my guitars. After receiving and setting up, it is just what I needed. Plenty sturdy enough. I have 3 acoustics on it, a semi hollow body electric and a tele.So my 5 fit just right.
If you have more solid body electrics, order a few extra pieces and it will hold more than 5.

The Hercules Guitar Stand does not disappoint at all. I bough this rack about 2 1/2 moths ago and I can tell you it is very sturdy and of fine quality. It does an excellent job at holding and protecting your guitars with love and care. It gives you the flexibility to size the space needed for every guitar size you may have. I also purchased the additional holder to hold an additional guitar and it fits perfectly - of course this may differ depending on the guitar body size you may have. This is truly a superb product.

Great stand. Fold up, adjust spacing, and load it up. It's that simple. Sturdy, looks nice, and plenty of room for 5 guitars - no worries about bumping or scratching guitars when you are picking them up or putting them away. I like it so much that I'm thinking of getting the 3 space one for my acoustics now.

I have 2 acoustics, 2 Electrics and 1 Bass on my stand. There is plenty of room and I will be adding another electric to it no problem. I feel the guitars are protected from falling very well. The stand has some play left to right but it isn't a big deal. You need to be careful when placing guitars on it for fear of knocking the instruments together. I was using those three in a circle stands and this works way better, more secure and takes less floor space. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the side to side play.

This guitar rack is amazing! It is very sturdy and holds all of my guitars. I never have to worry about them falling off anymore. It"s also very portable. I love this rack. Sweetwater even gave me some candy to go with my order.

Don't get me wrong - this is a fabulous and well thought out design - light but unexpectedly strong, easily folded and traveled with and offering the ability (lacking in most other stands) to specifically adjust for each axe you're carrying. I ran into problems with the execution - the foam tube base (lower bout) rail padding was not made up of one single piece; so the individual sections could and did separate while the foam separation sliders were moved - it was a real pain. And the laterally adjustable upper guides (neck rests), while brilliantly designed, don't feel really strong and, unless they're made of carbon fibre, I don't feel like they'll last all that long and put up with years of position changing as needed for different instruments - we'll wait and see. Overall - I really like it better than any others I have or have had but without much additional effort on the manufacturer's part it would be 5 star brilliant.

It is expensive, but then so are my guitars. This is the most solidly built portable stand that I have found. ALSO... It is expandable! ...Unless you are using all acoustic guitars ... this stand is easily capable of holding 7 maybe even 8 guitars.I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this stand for stability, portability, and total quality.

Been using the Hercules rack for about a month now. It easily holds five guitars and I actually just purchased the extension pack to add a sixth. I now have 3 acoustics and 3 electrics (all solid body so pretty thin) in the rack and there is plenty space for all. The rack is sturdy, flexible and folds up easily for storing or transport. A great addition to my music room as it saves a TON of space compared to using separate stands for each instrument.

This stand is a must for people like me who are what I call guitar poor (multiple guitars) It takes up far less room than single stands for multiple guitars and is much more well built than I could have imagined. It is a sturdy and space saving must have piece of equipment.

Very sturdy and opens/closes like a folding lawn chair. I bought an extra holder and fit 2 jumbo acoustics, 1 strat, 1 bass, 1 banjo, and 1 mandolin (that hung 90 degrees from the others). I imagine it would be no problem to fit about 9 strats or 8 Les Pauls.
A great buy to keep your instruments out of their coffins. You're definitely more like to play them if you can just grab it. Also makes for nice presentation if you have an array like me.

I purchased this guitar rack to fill a specific need. I have a small home studio where I am using an unused bedroom and my guitars were all stored in the bedroom closet in cases on the floor. I have five acoustic guitars and one electric, all in heavy cases. They were stored 4 on floor (Horizontally) and 2 cases on top of the other cases. It always seemed that you wanted to use the guitar in the back and had to take them all out to get to the one you needed. Not any longer! I purchased this guitar stand and inexpensive gig bags and now all of my guitars are in the closet stored vertically in their gig bags. They are all accessible when you need them. They are all protected in their bags. I folded the guitar holders on the top bar pointed down so the gig bags fit nicely. Even though this is rated at 5 guitars I was able to store all six. This really worked out better than expected.

great guitar rack! just what i needed... always great service with sweet water... all i need now is the extra upgrade slots to make it a 7 space guitar rack....and a paul reed smith... and a les paul ect. etc. etc. cheers tim

I started to order the 3 guitar stand but thought it out and went with the 5 guitar stand. Glad I did because it filled up quickly since I bought a couple more guitars. Built good and holds guitars good. Can't go wrong with it.

I bought a Hercules 3 guitar vertical tree 2 years ago. Works great so I knew quality was good secure for my 3 acoustic guitars. Exactly what I needed. We have three guys in the band which includes a bass, two 6 sting guitars, a 12 string and a banjo.

The easy access during a set makes it ideal and the space saving factor makes it a solid buy.

I bought two of these Hercules 5 space guitar racks to replace my homemade guitar rack. They take up much less space and are easy to move around if I need to. They are easy to get the guitars in and out of. I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought my sweetie 2 of these racks - now there is so much more available space in his studio. The Hercules racks are strong and well designed.

This stand is strong, lightweight and easy to transport. When not performing, I use it to hold five guitars in their cases to get them off the floor. I also have the 3-space rack. Same deal very useful and reliable. I'd also add, Mike Conyers and Sweetwater customer service, simply the best.

This is an excellent stand for basses. I'd give a 5 if it came with a case. Saved a ton of space on stage and studio. Going to order another soon. Jake was excellent helping with find the right tool for the job.

As always the quality of the items sweetwater sells is top notch. I looked at other guitar racks. This one is expandable. It holds 5 but you can order more neck holders, there is a name for these I just can't think what there called.anyway I have 5 taylor acoustics and 2 fender strats and with the extra "holders" they all fit on one rack.!!! No more clutter with all the other guitar stands. You can fit more up to 10 guitars /if you have all strats. Lov it thanks sweetwater.

Due to our wide variety of axes here in my house, I was a bit concerned about spending money on a rack that might not fit all our axes. I rolled the dice and took a chance on this rack. I found the construction to be sturdy and the engineering top drawer. Sitting in this rack now are two Telecasters, a Jazzmaster, a J-Bass, and a Thunderbird. Even the T-Bird fits comfortably in this rack.

This is a very good product and does a great job of keeping the guitars in place. I actually have room for six axes and it really makes the studio look more organized and functional. There was no assembly required, it came out of the box ready to set up. It is very lightweight, which almost lead me to believe that it wouldn't hold up, but it is very sturdy. The only addition that would make this stand a 5 would be if it had casters so you can roll it around the studio for convenience.

We collectively own six guitars/basses and needed a way to store them and/or their cases to save room. Own other Hercules stands, wall hangers, and know them to be of dependable quality. ...it keeps your guitars from touching the floor or walls. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and something I don't think they mention in the product details, it's expandable. Just purchase the collars that support the necks of the guitars, and I think you could easily get six or seven guitars on this thing.

i had several of my guitars sitting on conventional stage stands, meant for just one instrument.. while they're definitely useful, in a practice rm. with limited space, the guitars that i didn't play as often, were in the way for me, and the guys in the band. with the guitar rack, they can be displayed, and be out of the way, but ready if i need them. no hassle w / assembly, because there isn't any. it just unfolds right out of the box.

I am a fan of Hercules products, and this one met all my needs - light, folded down easily and safely and securely held guitars and basses. Unfortunately, after 2 years (and not all that many shows), it has started to fall apart. It was only lightly used, and spent most of it's time in the rehearsal space. Reasonably priced and good while it lasted. Will probably replace with something like an Ultracase stand.

Sturdy. Light. Easy to carry. Seems robust for the long haul. Using it not only in my studio to hold axes at the ready, but also to hold a rack of guitars for Broadway play.

Only way to improve it would be have some kind of system for short neck strings like uke, mandolin etc but great as it is.

I'm really happy with this rack. I have four guitars on it which means list of room between them. Very easy to take them off and put them in. Much better organization vs when I had all 4 on separate stands. Uses up less floor space. Rack looks great and is very solid.

I bought this to clean up my living room as I had 4 single guitar stands and one double - taking up a LOT of room! I read a lot of reviews and this was by far considered to be the best - I agree. Very sturdy and NO setup - just unfold and Go. I used an expansion kit (came with one) to make it a 6 guitar rack. 2 Dreadnaught Acoustic, 2 mid-size acoustic, 1 electric and a hollow-body. They all fit well with a little room between them. Pick storage is a plus as well. I'm really not sure how they could improve on this!

It does everything it is intended to do flawlessly. Easy set up right out of the box and now I have instant access to all my favorite guitars. You just gotta play a little bit with the angle of the guitar body and neck so both of them are in contact with it, and you are all set. A must have for studio, home studio, practice room, multiple guitars, sessions.

This is a phenomenal multi-guitar stand. Here are my 5 points about it:

(1) Very sturdy. You don't have to worry about the stand collapsing at all.

(2) Light weight and it folds in half. It makes transport for the gigging musician extremely easy.

(3) Very spacious. Although it comes with a five-piece setup, you can order an extension piece to easily add one more guitar. It could fit 7 guitars, but it would be tight, so I personally wouldn't keep more than 6 guitars on this stand.

(4) Space saver. Very practical for studios, for the stage, and for the home musician who simply wants to save space. It definitely organized my jam room a lot more than having individual stands.

(5) Great looking standing.

Overall: Whether you're an amateur guitarist with multiple guitars that plays at home, or you're a professional musician, this stand is definitely worth it. It saves space, it's light weight, it looks great, and most importantly, it's durable. I highly recommend this product to anyone with 4 or more guitars.

I bought this stand because of the other reviews. I am very happy with its ability to keep the guitars stable and secure. It is very good for what its made to do. My only major issue is that it is not good for all guitar finishes. In today's technology, do you think you could make rubber or cushions that are good for all guitar finishes so owners don't have to worry about their guitars. I covered all the rubber with adhesive felt. I took awhile and now I am happy with the stand. It is very stable and secures the guitars very well. It is one of the best made for the money.

It is a smart design that is not complicated and reasonably sturdy, I would buy one again.

I just bought two of these. I hesitated about spending almost $200 for guitar stands. After receiving the stands and setting them up (no assembly needed) I was pleasantly surprised. These stands are great and are very stable and protective of my Instruments. These stands arena little expensive but are still a great value.

I have tried a few of the other multiple stands and, this one is by far the best one out there. It's a little pricey but considering what you're putting on it it's well woth it. I purchased a cheaper model of a different brand and, after a couple uses it literally fell apart, thank God I didn't have many guitars on it, I was able to grab them before they hit the floor!

Gave it as a gift and am glad I did . It's holding up a motley

This stand is a heavy duty right priced piece that I am glad I have holding my guitars. It simply unfolds out of the box and is able to hold my bass, electric and acoustic guitars. I have been totally pleased with this our base.
