Ibanez Gio GRX70QA Electric Guitar - Transparent Red Burst Reviews
The Ibanez GRX70 electric guitar is a shining example of value! Don't let the price fool you — this guitar is a flexible tone machine. The basswood body with quilted art grain top is gorgeous, and a trio of pickups gives you tons of tones. A standard tremolo handles divebombing and other whammy acrobatics. This axe is perfect for burgeoning rockers who want a versatile guitar for all occasions. All in all, the Ibanez GRX70 gives you a whole lotta guitar for the money!

Nice practice guitar.
Guitar arrived properly packed and without a blemish anywhere. The intonation was spot on straight out of the box. Neck is smooth and action was nice and low with no "buzz" noted anywhere on the fretboard.
Awesome for the price
I love my Ibanez Gio
The one thing I don't like is that it never stays in tune , but swapping out the headstock turners might help.
Overall awesome guitar and I love the red finish.
it is the best
i love this guitar i will like to own it
Cheap find
This was the first time I placed an order with sweetwater and I was not disappointed. Shopping was easy and I was given the option to make payments, making it easier for me to buy the things I wanted. Shipping was extremely fast as well. As for the guitar, this was a demo but aside from a minor chip on the headstock it was in near perfect condition. For being a low cost guitar it plays and looks like a pricey guitar. I recommend this guitar for someone looking for a great guitar to learn with or even if you're an expert. Neck is so smooth, sound is awesome, decent weight as well.
For My Grand Kids.
I bought this Guitar for Me. But I am going to give it to My Grand Son or My Grand Girl. See who takes to playing it. May be the next Country Rock Star.
Awesome for the price
Just received my new Gio and it sounds nice and is great looking also.
Thank you Derick .
Beautiful
It's not my fender strat but for the price it is really a nice guitar, stays in tuned and has a beautiful finish
Plays great.
This guitar really has a great tone and plays great, Beautiful color.
This is a keeper.
I had this same guitar. Just another color but I sold it. I bought another one. That is how good a guitar she is. On youtube they say how good a hard rock guitar she is. But this is great country guitar. Buy one. She is worth keeping.
This is The Best
Wow Sweetwater!
This is my 22nd guitar and I play it every day!
The best customer service and this thing is crazy cool I play it with a vox amp and it sounds soo crisp!
You even get candy along with it!
overall the best guitar I ever had!
My first electric guitar (beginner player for one year) Love this instrument!
I am writing this review after 3 months of playing it with my BOSS Katana amp. I really love this guitar. It sounded great out of the box. It's been really fun to play and it feels great. I am not very experienced yet with guitars so I can't comment on anything specific. I have been playing a lot of metal with it and it sounds good. The pickups are good. I haven't used the tremolo much because it bends the guitar out of tune very easily. Highly recommend for the price!
Awesome Guitar
I was really amazed at the quality and sound from a $ guitar, Came set up and ready to go right out of the box. Even the strings are good and it sounds great and stays in tune really well. The finish and shape are great. Will definitely but Ibanez again!
Ibanez GRX70
I am really impressed by the quality of this guitar, and the value for the money! The finish and attention to detail is above the price I paid. If you are looking for a value priced guitar that delivers, this is the one you need.
Best experience
I got the guitar shipped fast, in amazing shipping. The guitar itself is awesome, I'm definitely gonna buy more from here
My daughter loves it, first guitar!
My 14-year-old daughter loves the way it feels, the weight the balance, not too bulky and easy to get her hands around to start learning how to play. Excellent beginner to intermediate or advanced guitar
Are you kidding?
Just received my gsx70 from Sweetwater and wow what a great little guitar...! Beautiful finish smooth fast neck zero fret buzz more than passable pick ups smooth solid working hardware. For the price this axe is a no brainer ... Get one. As always thanks to Sweetwater for their superior customer service
My First Electric Guitar, and a great one at that!
This was the first electric guitar that I had gotten for my birthday. It's a really good guitar, and I learnt many of my first songs on it. That said, there are a few things that I dislike about it that are really apparent to me, now that I've been playing guitar for a while.
Pros:
Great sound
Light
Comfortable
Durable
Beatiful
Cons:
Sub-par tuning stability
Un-shielded pickups, meaning the humbuckers still hum
Input jack often comes loose
Lots of give on the tremolo arm.
It's an incredible guitar for beginners, and a decent guitar for experienced players who need something to mess around on.
Rating: 4/5

Seems great. Still learning. Very decently priced learning guitar. I'm happy with this as a starter instrument.
Ibanez GRX70QA
This is a great guitar for anyone looking for a low cost instrument. The H-S-H setup is sweet, as the 5-way switch really gives you a nice combination of neck, single coil and bridge tones. The only con to this instrument is that if you're a bit sloppy with your pick you may end up strumming into the single coil. (but that's a con to all HSH setups.)
It feels heavy, but comfortable as its got a nice balance. The red maple top seems to fade into the black in dim light, but under good lighting the red really pops! This is a gorgeous guitar!
Needs work
This was not my first guitar purchase but I wanted an inexpensive instrument to pick back up and practice with. The screw on one of the tuning pegs came loose and the fourth string REFUSES to stay in tune. Also the pickup selector came loose after a few months of use. With some TLC from an experienced guitarist and some hardware/string upgrades this might be a nice instrument.
The best sound this thing ever made was hitting the bottom of my garbage can.
I purchased this as a recommendation from several YouTubers who suggested this as a decent first guitar. I just wanted something affordable with a decent sound. I was excited to receive this as my first guitar from Sweetwater to start learning on. It arrived a few days before my first lesson, so I could tune it and get it acclimated to my house's climate. I noticed right off that the tuning pegs were very easy to turn. I mean, slightly bumping them would throw them even 1/4 turn from tune. I proceeded to try to get some chords in. I was getting really bad fret buzz but I was thinking it was just me. Oh well. Come my first lesson, my teacher had me do a some chords. Bad buzz. I handed it to him and he said "blegh. let's have the store tech look at it". I got it back 2 days later and the tech said he adjusted the truss rod as much as he could. I kept practicing, but would occasionally get the fret buzz from the low EA strings. I learned to live with it. Come November, I had a humidifier installed in my house to combat the dry air. That's were things went downhill. The neck, being as thin as it was started to bow back. I decided to adjust the truss rod myself. I would turn it one way one day, fret buzz; the next day it would be so bad that the strings got caught on the wrong fret and I was fighting to hit the correct note. I had the truss tightened so much inward, I would have to grip the neck uncomfortably tight. Realizing it was beyond the return window and how much I've been fighting the thing, I just threw it in the trash one night. The next day, I came to my senses and ended up getting a Squier Strat. Right off, I felt a major difference. No fret buzz from the Squier. What's more, the neck is thicker than the Ibanez' so my hand doesn't cramp anymore AND it produces a rich tone, AND holds a sustain really well. Also, the tuning pegs feel solid with the Squier and don't move when I bump them. Do yourself a favor, skip this and get the Squier Strat; the kit if you want the amp, case; the whole shebang. I guarantee it'll be less of a disappointment than this hacked together Strat clone with a toothpick neck and tuning pegs with more play than an arcade joystick.
