IBANEZ MIKRO GUITAR
I worked with Mitch at Sweetwater, and the transaction was perfect, his mannerism was very professional and polite and I highly recommend Sweetwater for any of your musical needs. I am not sure what to think yet about this guitar, other than the frets all need filing after the first three or four. They will bother after that. I am not sure about the fret size, but they seem to be jumbo, not medium, but that may just be me. The tuners are iffy and so are the strings. The electronics work as they should, but I can't give you a decent opinion and you should refer to others for your opinion. It is made in China so you are buying the quality China typically produces. As far as Sweetwater goes, they were flawless! Good luck.
Great for the money
Sold my electric guitar to move to keyboards but realized I really needed a budget electric for some of the recording I wanted to do in Ableton. This sounded like it fit the bill and I liked the idea of the smaller size. Definitely met my expectations for the price, like the satin finish on the neck and it sounds very good. A great deal with very good build quality. As usual, Erik with great service.
Small but playable
This guitar is smaller than I expected but it would be perfect for a child. Out of the box the strings are a little too small and won't hold tune upgrade to .11. Great little guitar though.
My First Guitar!
i love it, I think it's a good guitar if you're just starting out, and the price is great!
New strings
All this guitar needed to become a great guitar was a set of .11 strings. Sounds better and stays in too much longer. I highly recommend this guitar for beginners.
Nice travel guitar
Set the intonation and put on Gotoh locking tuners and was surprised. Other than that, the quality is pretty good, especially for the price. The pickup switch is wired like the GR models so it has three humbucker positions and two positions that sound a bit like a strat. I'm pleased with the stock pickups. String tension is light so bends are exaggerated. I'd take it to a gig.
Little Guitar, Big Sound
I'm an older beginner and chose a smaller guitar to learn on because my hands aren't as flexible as they used to be. I'm really pleased with the miKro. I had a couple of very minor QC issues, like a loose screw and a buzzing string, but they were easily resolved. It's light, fun, nice looking, and sounds much better than I play.
