Both lids are warped so bad you can see into the case with the lids on. Top is warped inward to the point the case looks damaged. Lid clasps are awkward and poorly designed. There was a handful of plastic shavings inside the case when I received it. Plastic feels greasy and cheap. Avoid.

The lids don't fit well. Luckily this is "protecting" a Yamaha TIO that doesn't travel, it just provides handles and prevents the Tio from being exposed at BOH.

I had to free up my x32rack from being a stage box but didn't want to brake the bank doing it . The s16 was the perfect option for me.

This case is solid and easy to use. Look no further, if you want to protect your gear.

I own several gator cases, and this one is just a disappointing one. I just got this to replace my old 2u gator rack case. Mounted my device on it, and brought it out to a gig for the first time, I just noticed imperfect shape that I didn't have for other cases. There's a little curve where the lid is supposed to close completely. (See the pic) and this is like that on both sides. So I'm not sure if this is how supposed to be, or just a faulty unit.

I'm quite happy with this 2U Gator roto-molded rack. It's clearly not as heavy-duty feeling as a traditional plywood-side/metal-corner rack case, but the big benefit is that it's so much lighter. But it does feel rugged, and seems like the roto-molded plastic could take quite a beating. It's plenty solid in terms of the shell, the latches, and the rack rails.

The previous traditional rack case I was using was great but it weighed a good 20lbs empty, a 4U with roller wheels and telescoping handle which were useful because it was so heavy. This 2U case is sub-10lbs empty and 23lbs loaded with power strip, keystone panel, ethernet switch, transponder decoder unit, mounting shelf, and front grille -- so it's easy enough to just carry like a suitcase with one arm. What a relief. You can see from one of the photos that the top/bottom lid edges don't line up 100% straight across the width because of how the plastic is molded, but it's minor enough that I think the seal is fine and it doesn't matter.

The plastic shell is thick and sturdy. My Mesa Mpulse 600 slid right in and locked into place with four screws.
A bag of screws and plastic washers came with the case.
One other thing that really impressed me about the case was that the lids have rubber seals to protect against moisture.
The only real negative I have for it is that there doesn't seem to be any real internal support/framework other than the rack ears for mounting your hardware.
Overall, I Think that it is a great case I would just be careful not to stack anything heavy on top of it.

Great Case, great protection for our new EQ. No worries of damaging anything that is in this case.
