So, my cases get delivered and I opened one of the boxes only to discover that the entire case on both the exterior and interior is covered in some sort of oil or grease. I didn't notice until after handling the case (except, I did see some oil on the handle). I saw more oil on the interior and immediately set it back down in the box and checked my hands and sure enough, they were all oily! There was so much of this oil or grease on the case that it left stains on the interior of the cardboard shipping box! They weren't dark stains, but I could easily see where the case was touching the interior of the box. It was on all sides, and on the top (from the perspective of the interior).

The interior of the case wasn't EVENLY coated like the exterior, but instead it looked like it was sprayed on.

I thought maybe it was just a problem with that case (like maybe they forgot to clean this stuff off), so I proceeded to check all of them and unfortunately, all of them were the same.

So yeah, I was very angry. When I buy something that's brand new, I expect it to be clean! I didn't want this oil to get on my carpet, in my car, on my hands, on my clothing, etc, and most importantly, on my beloved musical instruments. This is absolutely unacceptable. So, they're getting a 1-star rating from me.

If they had arrived perfectly clean, then I would have kept them and I'd probably be writing a glowing 5-star review because they're otherwise very impressive. At this price, you'd expect flimsy cheap crap, but NOPE! These are sturdy, strong, and very high-quality. The photos don't do them justice. However, if you still want to get these cases after reading my review, then you might want to prepare a soapy bath for these things when you get them, and you might want to plan on washing and rinsing each case two times in a row.
