Quality control perhaps not quite there

By Rick on December 13, 2020

Bought 2 of these. One of them works, the other does not at all.

I love the convenience of these, so hopefully Hosa will improve their QC, as I've read other reviews of Hosa adapters having this same problem brand new out of the package.

wtf?

By Schedule II from SAN FRANCISCO, CA on March 27, 2023

These behave like the female is stereo which shorts the both signals of a mono mini cable (tested with my voltmeter). I bought four: all behave like this. Useless as a mini to 1/4" adaptor. Maybe theres a balanced to unbalanced function here but these definitely arent as advertised. I got these ~2021 knowing that I would need them for my Eurorack some day and now that the day has arrived I'm pretty bummed. Hopefully Hosa has corrected this. Their products have always been top notch in my 25 years of using them otherwise.

The Newest Design Revision is Intermittent

By Jon Fields from Allentown PA on March 22, 2021 Music Background: Retired EE now gigging in duo

Hosa has revised the design to be slightly shorter and to have a snugger grip on the 3.5mm TRS input. However, three out of the last four I ordered don't work if the cable is not manipulated into just the right position. What is surprising is the fault is ground hum which means either the ground is intermittent or BOTH tip and ring.

I have two of the older ones at home and they work fine (in photo, good left, bad right).
