good for m20x headphones

By Sweetwater Customer

worked really well as a replacement for my audio technica m20x headphones, it eventually became loose or something and now the headphones won't plug in to it but i think that's damage to my actual headphones rather than the product itself

Noisey

By Ben B. from GONZALES, LA

I've used adapters like this a lot in the past. Some are great quality and hold up. Some are more flimsy and noisy. These are the later, I'm sorry to say.

Don’t waste your time.

By Sweetwater Customer

Every Hosa adapter I've purchased has had the same issue—the 1/8" female end doesn't securely hold the connection after time. Without exception, every single one has had this problem. Along with other issues I've encountered with Hosa patch cables and snakes, I've stopped buying their products altogether.

GARBAGE

By Randy from Oregon Coast Range

I bought a handful for the studio and NONE of them worked. They don't make secure connections and cause a wretched buzz. ALL of the new adapters I purchased were unusable. JUNK.

6 out of 8 bad

By Nick E. from Palatka Florida

Four out of 4 failed testing with a Behringer CT100 cable tester. I used an 1/8 stereo cable (which repeated tested perfect) plugged into the HOSA stereo adapter, going from both 1/8 in to 1/4 out and 1/8 out to 1/4 in. Sleeve was intermittent on 2 and sleeve was open on 2. Sweetwater replaced the four, resulting with 2 ok and 2 intermittent. Sweetwater then (at my request, based on the advice of their technician) credited the HOSA adapters towards d"Addario PW-P047E adapters, with much better results.

Great products ,better price

By John S. from Aurora, MO

I was needing these headphone adaptors to hook up to my headphone amplifier. These adaptors work great and easy to install in amplifier. Removal is a breeze also with the finger holds on them. Quality made, Would recommend these 3.5 to 1/4" adaptors

It works.

By John L. from North Dakota

What can I say. It makes a little plug fit into a bigger plug. I believe it accomplished this mission.

Loose connection

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: Daily Listener

The male connection is really solid, fits very well and secure. The female portion, the 3.5mm jack, is very loose. The headphone cable wiggles around and sound will drop out from one or both headphone speakers. This adapter looks good and feels good, but functionally it is poor quality.

Loose. Chord falls out on own upon first use

By Lawrence H. from Paonia, CO
Music Background: Jazz musician

The 1/8th in. chord I purchased at the same time with this literally just falls out on its own. It's extremely loose. I'm not sure if my inability to play music through my brand new amp is because of the chord, or because of how loose this adapter is. I have used both less than 10 times and I'm already no longer able to play music through it. I've had trouble with it ever since my first use which is extremely irritating. I have to hold my chord by hand and stand there in a certain way to play music and it not fall out. Both my phone and amp I play music through are brand new, and my friends aux chord and adapter work perfectly fine through my amp. I know it was cheap, but I didn't know that the product was meant to not last. I do NOT recommend these to anyone. It's time and money consuming. Not worth buying a product that doesn't even work.

Quality control issue on Hosa GPM-103

By HML

I purchased two, one worked, the other provided a noisy connection. Pretty simple device, so I decided to investigate - you can see the detailed results on youttube (search hosa adapter noisy) but the bottom line is that 1/8" male plugs (I tried several) wiggle in the female adapter, cutting out the signal.

3.5mm f to TRS m

By coleman D. from emporia, KS
Music Background: songwriter20+yrs,dubbing since'90,house sound&worship leader@SHILOH HOME OF HOPE

i think it's getting loose already. had to use it for a while to see if it'dv last longer than the radio shack brand. i've gone through alot of these and what i'm finding is that only the screw on connectors can take the strain of the cord hanging, but TS connectors tend to give out after the weight hangs for a time, the 3.5 female insert is the most notorious on any device or adapter, so maybe Hosa deserves more than i'm giving them; i've been happy w/the other cables and the TRS to 3.5. it's just the torque on the jack always loosens the little arm pin on the inside, which you can easily bend back to tighten if your adapter has a screw on collar, but for obvious reasons you can't w/the molded plastic housing. either way, these connectors have always been to delicate and can't stand up to being moved regularly. nature of the beast

Good Product for Cheap

By Sweetwater Customer

For the money, this little guy did a great job. I`ve used him on my UltraSone HFI-450 headphones while listening to synths and such. So, again, great adapter for cheap.
