Solid and versatile. Heavy duty and does not move. Very happy.

The stand is very sturdy and well-made, but a horrible design. The rod that sticks out from the adjustable basket almost skewers one's private parts. The drum should be mounted front and center, and not the other way around as the stand blocks the view of the drum. It is not good that when turned any other way brings all the attention to this huge hardware instead of the drum.

Very very pro stand. Strong and solid, I can hit the drum hard very safely. Easy to move and multiple possibilities to adapt it for many drums (not only djembe).

First of all, don't buy this stand until you get your sweetwater sales engineer to investigate this issue. It seems as though Gibraltar has sent vendors JUST the djembe mount and boom arm WITHOUT the tripod base. Looking around on the internet, reviews for this stand on other sites report the same problem. It seems sweetwater is no exception, as this happened to me. Sweetwater contacted gibraltar for me and got the tripod base sent out. A+ to Sweetwater for fixing this for me. Be sure to ask your sales engineer the status of this issue before you run your card. It'll save you the trouble of fixing it later.

This stand is a great piece of hardware. It weighs a ton too! I don't play a run-of-the-mill Remo, by the way. I play a hand carved lenke djembe by Drumskull Drums. It measures 25" by 14" and weighs 25lbs. This stand keeps my drum in a comfortable playing position with a ton of variability to chose from. It does rock a little bit when I play, which I am still getting used to. I originally wanted to get the Gon Bops "Ultimate heavy duty djembe stand" but it has ceased production. That design seems rock-proof, but hey, what can you do? This does seem to be the best option on the market for a professionalsl djembe stand, but I still feel that the tripod base design is inherently flawed. Depending on how you orient the drum, you DO have to make sure one of the legs is in line with your djembe, but this isn't a problem for me. I am really enjoying having the ablitiy to mic my drum now that it is in a stationary position. All-in-all, it's a great piece of gear. Just gotta get used to the drum rocking a little. Highly recommended.
