Superb product
This works great with my Headrush cabinet. Just what I was looking for!
Quality
Well made & very sturdy. I put an Alto TS408 speaker inside the bag. The power cable fits in the side pocket & a 50 ft. XLR cable fits in the bag at the top of the speaker. Great purchase. My band got 3 of them.
Better than you may be led to believe
I struggled to consider these totes after reading some reviews of light padding, belong handles, lack of this/that. Decided to take a chance and ordered them anyway for my QSC K8.2s because paying for the QSC totes was unpalatable to my wallet.
What I found was that these totes do the job incredibly well! The padding is no very dissimilar to my other QSC totes. The handles are more than fine and there is no need for a flap to access the speaker handles based on the zipper design.
If you need more than this to protect your speakers, you need to take better care of your gear. No tote is going to prevent damage from speakers being carelessly handled. If that's what you do/what you need, I'd suggest road cases and maybe anger management. I'll be buying more of these Gator totes for my other speakers. Every bit as good as the branded totes.
Great Value
Having previously purchased the TOTE10 & TOTE12 Gator bags , it was only natural to get the TOTE8 speaker bags especially when Sweetwater had the pair for a big savings!
Just what I expected
I bought this to carry my Head Rush 108 speaker and it works & fits perfectly. Plenty of room and appears to be quite well built.
work great for me
With the recent big storms and flooding in California I needed something to stop my Alto TS308s from getting wet. I had to bring a heavier PA for solo gigs while waiting for covers, so thrilled when the Gator tote bags showed up. The Gator GPA-TOTE8 fit my Alto TS308 speakers perfectly and keep them dry, which is important with built in amps, and ... even make them easier to carry. :)
Great Fit & Quality
The Gator Gpa-TOTE8 bags are a perfect fit for my Alto 8" PA speakers. They should provide excellent protection and ease of carry. The quality is better than I expected for the price. As always, excellent delivery time by Sweetwater.
Great fitting speaker tote!
The Gator speaker tote works great & has just enough space to add my portable compact power station. Great fit. Great workmanship. Great materials & fitment.
Bag
Excellent fit perfect everse 8
Perfect Fit!
FYI: This size bag is a perfect fit for the Alto TX310 powered speaker!
Great for protection and transporting.
Nobody wants to roll in to a gig with beat up battered PA speakers that are going to be put out front of you, right?
I try yo take care of my stuff anyways and now that more regular gigs have called for the use of my smaller speakers
I wanted sleeve covers or something to protect them. These are awesome as they have handles and although I wish the
pocket was large enough for the power cord, the fit in the bag fine. Ease of mobility in and out of the gig, vehicle, house is great and certainly will keep my speakers looking good.
Just what I needed
This works very well to pack and transport my Headrush FRFR 108 cabinet.
Works great!
this bag for my headrush speaker, and it's cable perfectly. high quality and with the money.
Gator GPA-TOTE8 Heavy-duty 8" Speaker Tote Bag
I purchased 2-bags for my Headrush frfr 108 powered speakers. Perfect fit and light weight, however the side storage pocket could be a bit larger for cables, but plenty of room in the inside of bag. Overall, this was a great purchase.
Great Little Bag
For my needs, this is a great little bag to transport my speakers. They"re easy to get the speakers in and out of and provide adequate protection.
does what its supposed to do
It's perfect it protects my speakers and its easy to open and it's easy to get the speaker back in. the pocket on the side is handy for keeping the power cable and any other small items for my speaker unit all together.
I actually had a situation not long ago where the power cable was left being in a separate box. the pocket on this solved that problem instantly. I actually bought two more of these just a week ago and I plan to buy at least 7 more. while price is not bad i do wish the price on the small version of the cases was prices with the size. other then that the case is good for most uses.
Great purchase!
Found about this bag when a friend purchased one. Didn't need it for a speaker, but it makes a great gig bag. The fully opening zippers give access to the entire interior...no more digging down to the corners to find that small item. I'll be getting another one in a larger size as well.
Fits QSC 8.2
Perfect fit for my new QSC 8.2's.
good bag
Works well
The 8" GPA-TOTE Bag
The 8" Bag was a perfect fit for my New speaker.
Great Tote for Pretty Much All 8-inch Speakers
Recently purchased a pair of Everse 8's, I needed bags to put them in and compared the Electro-Voice Padded Tote specifically made for the Everse 8 and the Gator TOTE8 and I have to say, the Gator wins in every regard. The problem with the EV Tote is that it tries to do too much. I get it, it wants to promote the use of their wireless mic systems and how they work seamlessly with the Everse 8. But the problem with that is that if you are not using the wireless mic system and do not have that in the bag with it, there's a void (the bag is too wide), so the speaker rocks back and forth inside the bag. That doesn't mean it will damage the speaker in any way or cause any blemishes to the plastic, but it is a bother when toting the speaker around and you feel a bit uneasy when it sways back and forth.
Enough about the Everse Padded Tote, and now about the Gator Tote 8. The Evers 8 fits perfectly inside the bag with very little gap around it. If I had anything negative to say about the tote is that the bottom padding could be a bit thicker. I've dropped the bag a couple of times and feared that the grill would be dented or damaged in some way, but no. It's perfectly safe and sound. The quality of the tote is incredible and strong. The zippers are like any other heavy-duty zipper and take a bit of using to become easily movable. But high quality for sure. The tote claims to be weather resistant and I don't doubt it at all based on the quality of the canvas material that is used, but I haven't personally tested that claim. If you're looking for a tote for any 8-inch speaker, this is the tote for you.
Nice bag, but could use a bigger side pocket
Nice bag. Sturdy and well-made. I've had gator's bags for 15", 10", and now 8" speakers. These fit my Electro-voice ZXA1 8" speakers. My only knock is that as the size of the bag decreases, so does the size of the side pocket. Where the 10" version will take a power cord and a 20' XLR cable, the pocket on the 8" bag is too small for that. And my ZXA1s are a tight fit, so the cords won't fit inside the bag either. I'd still buy the bags again.
Gator totes
These are terrific bags. Only thing I would change is putting a larger pocket and maybe a second pocket on the other side.
Great for the price
Got this for a CP8. It's not as good as as the QSC case - it doesn't have a flip-open to access the speaker's carry handle, and the pocket is tiny and just barely fits the power chord - but it also doesn't cost what the QSC bag does. Well made, good material. The zipper opens a bit easily. If you load in and out speedily and often, get a better bag. If you're like "Guitar George" "saving it up for Friday night" this is great and will save some cash.
A nice bag
I bought this to carry a Headrush FRFR-108, and it works great. The pocket on the side is a bit small, but I can put a few things in the bag with the cabinet, so it"s not a deal-breaker. Construction seems good. The top flap zips across the length of the case with two parallel zippers, and Velcro attaches the end of it to the case. Not sure why it was done this way, but it"s been okay.
Great for carrying the Headrush frfr108
This is a great carry bag not a case. It offers portability but not a lot of protection, keeping that in mind, it does what it was designed for very well. My only minor complaint is the same as other reviews, the front pocket could be a bit larger
Pretty Good
The material is not as heavy as the one I bought before but is still a good bag.
Thin, slightly padded, very little protection. Expensive dust cover.
The picture makes the bag look like its thick material but it's not. The bag offers very little protection, it will keep the speaker from getting scratched but don't accidently bang it into anything or drop it. Its an expensive dust cover that allows you tote the speaker around, think of it as a duffle bag. The top flap is closed by using two zippers, the zippers are pretty light weight and this could be a concern should one of them break and thus making the broad\wide cover flap in-operable.
Not "heavy duty" at all
Decent construction but this is a bag with a handle and little more. It will protect against scrapes and scuffs, but the "padding" is less than a thin towel. Description seems misleading and I would say $ for some fabric with a zipper and a pocket is pretty outrageous.
Gator bag for FRFR 108 headrush
Not very well padded but keeps the monitor from getting scratched up.
