Great bag for Gemini ES 210MXBLU

By Bruce from Louisville Ky on January 3, 2024 Music Background: Mobile DJ for 35 years

I put a speaker in each bag. It is a little big for the 10" speakers but I put a blanket in each bag to fill up the space a further protect the speakers. Zippers work great.

Fit Bose L1 Pro 8 Subwoofer

By Fathee on June 5, 2023 Music Background: Musician

This bag fit Bose L1 Pro8 sub like a glove. Its like they design for it. If any of you just purchase Bose L1 Pro 8 you know they didn't include the speaker cover. You have to buy their speaker cover separately at cost usd50. This is a heavy duty bag cost only 16 bucks . Its a no brainer

Gator Speaker Cover

By Jose Montoya from Corpus Christi Tx on September 20, 2022

I was needing a way to carry my speakers and the same time give them some protection. These covers did both and fit was great. The pockets on the side was an added plus. Perfect for speaker cables.

Rugged and fits well

By Sweetwater Customer from KY on August 28, 2022

Strong handles. Works and fits just fine.

Exactly what I wanted.

By Brian Venton from NY on April 21, 2022

These tote bags are perfect for my QSC K-12s. They are sturdy and solid, and will probably last longer than I will!

Gator GPA-TOTE12 Speaker Bag

By Perry Holland from Little Rock, AR on September 3, 2019

I bought two of these for my QSC K12 speakers. The QSC brand was much higher priced. I have the QSC brand bags for my smaller QSC K10 speakers but these are more sturdy and durable. I highly recommend these bags. Thanks goes out to Sales Person 'Derek Kemp' for his suggestion.

Gator Heavy-duty 12

By Takaheri Jones on May 26, 2017 Music Background: Keyboardist

This bag is everything I need and more. My first time ever having a carrying bag for my speaker and this makes traveling easier for me. No more worrying about scratches, dents, and losing cables.

Decent but not complete protection

By Justin Quinn from Uniontown, PA on July 30, 2019

These bags will protect your speakers from scratches but won't protect the grills from dents as the bottom (where the speaker grill will rest) is just fabric. Other than that the bags seem to be well-built and ready to last. If you are serious about protecting your speakers from dents I would look at Gator's G-TOUR truck pack cases assuming you have the means of transportation.

Good fit for Alto TS212

By Scott from San Antonio on February 12, 2018 Music Background: pedal steel

Good fit for Alto TS212 speaker, easy to slip speaker in. Only down side in this application is that the many handles on the TS212 are no longer accessible but, of course, the Gator bag has sturdy handles of its own.

Great Protection for Speakers

By Richard from Hawaii & Alaska on January 25, 2024 Music Background: Musician, DJ & Sound Tech

Purchase these GPA-Tote12 for a church up in Alaska. They have a pair of 12" powered speakers and saw that I had my 10" powered speakers in the GPA-Tote10, and wanted to keep the speakers protected during storage & transport.
A good investment to keep your speakers looking good and easy to transport.

Good solid tote bag- could use a bit more padding

By Sweetwater Customer from SC on July 13, 2022

I like many of the features- I have been using these for years on several speakers and they hold up well.
Only comment is that they really could do with a bit more padding for protection.
There is some, but maybe add some on front to protect the grill more.

Very good, but could be thicker.

By Michael from Richmond, VA on November 11, 2021 Music Background: 20+ years of experience recording and playing live.

I have 3 of these bags. I love the way they open and the convenience of the side pocket. I can carry a speaker and XLRs, etc. with ease. I do wish they were thicker. I know it's probably some issue of cost and weight, but a little more thickness would give me more confidence. Even so, I've used these to carry EV-ZLX 12's to shows many times and they work great. Would I do a long van tour with these? Maybe not, but for storage of our live rig and ease of carrying speakers and cables in one bag, I think these bags work fantastically well.

Speaker Must!

These bags are functional to protect your expensive investment. I never let speakers leave without covers anymore.

Works for the Headrush 12" FRFR monitor

By Adam Vogel from Melrose, MN on February 25, 2022

I purchased this case for my Headrush 12" FRFR monitor. The tote bag fits it perfectly. It's not very padded, but it well protect it from scratches and wear and tare. Great service as always.

Works

By Brandon m from St George ut on November 19, 2018 Music Background: Wedding dj

Pros it"s a gator tot so they do last
The zipper is designed to just pull back the flap no have to pull on the zipper tab
Cons it has no padding so your speakers still can get damage easy but it"s one of those things you get what you pay for

Strong tote but handles too long

By Kevin Breslin from MI on October 12, 2017 Music Background: Long-time gigging musician

The tote fits the QSC K12.2 well and is modestly padded. The zippers are better than average for most nylon bags and the side pocket is a good size for cords. My only issue is the length of the handles which when used, makes the speakers dangle about 6" off the ground and bang into your legs when you're walking. It would be better if they were shorter.

Not heavy-duty, but "Tote" is correct.

By rob from texas on September 4, 2018 Music Background: guitarist

As others have stated, very little / no padding on this bag. One stuff pocket (cables fit here). Useful as a tote bag, and is protective in that your speaker won't get scratched up/dinged up by knocking against other gear in the trunk of your car. Do NOT put this in the trailer on top of other gear & expect it to protect the contents, though.

Does not fit JBL EON612

By Meagan Mitchell from Paris, TX on January 15, 2021

The 15s fit the 615s. But the 12 inch bags are too small.

Affordable protection

By JimTT from Troy, MO on December 11, 2017 Music Background: Guitarist

The Gator 12" speaker tote bag will protect your speaker from scratches and dings. The padding is not very thick however. And when you set the speaker down, there is the possibility the speaker grill could be dented. I have inserted foam pieces in the bottom of the bag to remedy this and now they work pretty good for me.
I would like to see Gator put a little more attention to the padding where the bag contacts the ground.

Better than nothing

By Sweetwater Customer on August 29, 2019

Like most have said, the material is lacking if you're counting on these to keep your speakers from getting dented. My main issue is the straps. They either need to be shortened or lengthened. As is, you have to work really hard to get them over the shoulder becasue they're too short, but they're too long when carrying them down by your side. Whoever designed the handles did the exact opposite of an "Ergonomic" design. The positives are, the zippers are nice, the pocket is decent, and they'll last for a long time, and they'll protect from the rain if youre loading in bad weather. Too bad the handles aren't about 8" or so longer, or shorter.

Disappointed

By Sweetwater Customer on June 11, 2019

The nylon and padding on this bag are very cheap and very thin. I sent mine back, as I do not think it will hold up well over time.

Not really Heavy-Duty...just OK.

By Voice from NJ on August 2, 2018 Music Background: Kybd Player

I agree with the other folks about this bag not being "heavy-duty." The material itself might be strong, I don't know just yet - haven't had it long enough. My brand-new QSC K12.2's do slide in and fit nicely. Yeah, there's a pouch (why wouldn't there be one?), and it's good to keep the dust out, but there is literally no padding to this bag AT ALL. Have to be very careful when putting the bag on the ground so as not to dent the grill of the speakers. This is definitely not a bag you want other people carrying around for you if you value your gear --- too easy to bang around. I also don't feel comfortable stacking one on top of the other for fear of the speaker controls getting damaged on the back end. I see this kind of bag better for bulk cables and such. If I put my hard-earned money into my gear, I take care to protect it. Will have to insert my own foam padding, I guess, as others here have done. A little too pricey for what you get, IMO.

They're Ok

By Sweetwater Customer on May 19, 2017

They're good enough to provide minor bump protection but other than that they are far from heavy duty cases. The tote straps and side pouch are a good added feature.

Not for professional use

By Sweetwater Customer on October 3, 2023

Had the 15 inch bag for 2-3 years and they are starting to develop holes and the fabric is tearing. The bags have always been a loose fit on my 15 inch Thumps…and I think that has attributed to the fabric tearing. I'll lift it up and because there are no side handles I have to hold it funny like I'm holding onto loose skin. I don't like the handles on the top, it just doesn't make sense to carry large speakers like that. If you know how to lift you know that the speaker is best positioned upright against your chest. But there's no freaking handles to hold it there. Any other way with the handles they provide are awkward and not good for my back. Just overall a poor design and I expected more from Gator since they're so plastered all over the website.

Developing holes within a few months of use

By Sweetwater Customer on February 15, 2023

And the handles are too long. Have to lift handles up too high to go up stairs or lift out of car. Should be just long enough to meet in the middle.

Disappointed

By M A Schlemozzel from Dallas on January 12, 2017

The positive: Full opening zipper totally exposes the speaker, making it very easy to remove. The outer compartment is very useful. The zipper and outer fabric are made to last.

The negative: Gator's text reads, "Padded interior with soft lining safeguards your speaker." Other than protecting the speakers from fleas, cooties and field mice, this is pretty much fiction (well, the lining _is_ soft, but there is NO padding).

This bag has a very thin layer of something slightly fuzzy but in truth the outer and inner fabric together pinch down to perhaps 3/32". The outer rip-stop shell is water resistant, and it might protect the speakers from minor surface scrapes and scratches but they offer virtually no protection whatsoever against any sort of routine transportation of band equipment. My speakers (Behringer B212Ds) fit with room to spare but the knobs on the back need actual padding if they are to survive.

I will be buying a sheet of 3/4 blue foam and cutting it up to line these tote bags. I don't know how to secure the padding other than some sort of adhesive, but at least they will have adequate protection.

Note that I have taken the rating system here literally. As the padding is a myth and 2 being "average" I have to give this a 1.5. If it were used as a gym bag, I'd give it top marks.

Don't Buy These If Protecting Your Speakers is Your Goal!

By Michael from Cocoa, FL on March 18, 2019 Music Background: Professional DJ

I have QSC K12.2's which are very expensive so getting bags that would actually protect them was a priority for me.

The outside of these Gator bags is nice thick material and the pocket is great. The inside of the bag is where the quality is really lacking. The "padding" is little more than a thick lining and there is nothing hard on the bottom to prevent your grills from being dented. The zipper is not really heavy duty and is about half the strength and size of the heavy duty ones on other bags. I bought and returned bags from 3 different companies and they all seemed like they were probably made by the same company. I picked a winner on the 4th try and the Onstage bags I ended up with had triple the padding of these and the other two, plus they have a hard bottom to protect your grills. The funny thing is that out of the 4 the ones I kept were cheaper too!

Heavy Duty? Seriously???

By Trey Yancy from Dallas, TX on May 10, 2017

These so-called "heavy duty" speaker bags are lined with nothing but fleece. Like the inside of a black sweat shirt. _No_padding_whatsoever_. You might as well wrap your speakers in a lined windbreaker.

I had to buy a sheet of gray foam, a cheap electric carving knife, and a can of Foam Fast 74 spray adhesive, then fashion a pair of sleeves for the speakers and load them into the bags like I was stuffing a pillowcase.

Frankly, this "heavy duty" nonsense is just plain false advertising. I would buy Gator bags for cables and such, but NEVER for protecting speakers.
