Gator GPA-712SM Rolling Speaker Bag - Small Reviews

Rolling Speaker Bag for QSC K12; Mackie TH-12A; JBL PRX612M, JRX112M, and SRX712M; and Behringer B2120 and Other Similar Speakers

The Gator GPA-712SM rolling speaker bag is a durable and effective way to protect and transport your small-format 12" loudspeakers. As sure fit for Mackie Thump TH-12A, QSC K12, and many other similarly sized models, the GPA-712SM makes transporting your PA from gig to gig painless. You'll appreciate how easy it is to access the GPA-712SM's interior, thanks to its dual-zipper design. There's a structured foam cradle at the bottom to cushion your speaker, 10mm side foam absorbes any incidental bumps or shocks, and a rugged nylon exterior shrugs off most scrapes and abrasions. A set of in-line-skate-style wheels and a pull out hand makes transportation easy, and for added convenience, the Gator GPA-712SM speaker bag also features a large accessory pocket.

TOTALLY DEPENDABLE

I have been buying items for the past 2 years from Sweet Water. I am very pleased with my products purchased and the easy process of making the purchase. Tyberious has taken over as my representative. Once I explained my needs, he went right to work and found exactly what I wanted. Only days later was it at my front door! I find nothing easy these days but this, trust me, was easy. Thank you Ti. Dale

Well Made

By David Price from Salisbury, MD on March 16, 2020 Music Background: Keyboardist

Heavy duty. Well Padded. Includes 2 large (12 x 12) velcro pads to place where ever you need extra padding, or to fill a space. Roomy. Fits my Harbinger VARI 1012's with a little room to spare. Stands on its own vertically when putting speaker in. It has a large side pocket for accessories. The rollers and telescoping handle are a real back saver. folds flat when not in use.

Solid Gator product - does what it says

By Craig Parmerlee from Indianapolis on December 16, 2019

I'm in my 60s. I'm tired of schlepping speakers around. I've done that for almost 50 years. This case is a no-brainer. Spend the extra bucks to get the wheels. Even if you are younger and more muscular than me, it still makes sense to save your energy for your music.

Excellent solution for more than just powered speakers

By Steven Kirby from MA on June 11, 2019 Music Background: Professional

I use this to carry around a Pittman Spacestation V3,my pedal board and various cables to gigs. I've had it for about 3 weeks and used it on about 10 gigs already. It's great because everything fits in one bag which rolls and is very easy to open and close. It's a great carry all because it has velcro pads which can be used or not to create more or less space inside the main bag and it has pockets for cables. The wheel attachment is robust and seems like it's likely to last a long time. Hightly recommended

Over the fence and out of the park!

Yep, blown away is right. You did it! Perfect fit for my Yamaha DXR12's with 1" to 1-1/2" padding all around and two extra moveable pillows for a snug fit. Everything is Gator's usual; always heavy duty, handles everywhere, and easy to clean. Way better protection than my Yamaha covers. So glad I bought these bags. Thanks y'all!

No Crocodile tears here....

Great gig bag. I used it for my EV ZLX-12P and it fits perfect. Rolling wheels make it easy to move around and all my cables fit into the front pocket. I would recommend to anyone looking for a gig bag for their speakers/accessories.

Best gear bag ever

By Ron T. from Driftless area of Wisconsin on January 29, 2019 Music Background: Folksinger Duo

The material is much more substantial than I had anticipated; really tough. There is plenty of room for my Fishman Artist amp and all the supporting gear I need for a gig. The design allows for very easy access, mobility, and protection. Not only does this make getting to a gig, setting up, and taking down, easier than ever, it fit my budget. Thanks Sweetwater!

Gator GPA-712SM Rolling Speaker Bag

By JAMusic from Houston Tx on May 30, 2019 Music Background: Keyboardist

Nice bag, but the side zipper which you can store your miscellaneous cords or cables started coming undone. Can't unzip all the way. The rest of bag is okay.

good basic bag

good basic bag. speaker fits snuggly.

Bad exterior, good interior

By Morsy from New York City on May 31, 2018 Music Background: DJ / Music Producer

The exterior design is a fail. I've only had this outside 3 times and experiencing holes in the bottom of bag. From the first day these wheels are designed flimsy and loose, causing them to cave inwards, also the wheels are so small that the rest of the bag drags and scraps thus causing holes on the bottom of my bag.

However the interior is absolutely perfect! Just the right amount of foam to cover my QSC K12s completely. The zippers are big and zip smoothly across. My favorite is the side pocket that fits well over (2) 25ft XLRs + The power cord and then there is still more space!

Reminder, this bag is huge and is not as perfectly snug as the QSC K12 bags. There is a drastic difference in size but 2 of these speakers will fit in your average sized trunk with just enough space for your speaker stands.

So if you are the type of person that just rolls these right into your car and rolls right in front of a venue, then you may not experience as much damage on the bottom this soon, however if you live in NYC like me, these things wont last 2 city blocks with out dragging and causing holes.

Luckily the cool guys at Sweetwater are going to help replace these with a different company. They said they are also calling Gator to find out whats wrong with these current models as it may be a defect issue. Wish me luck!
