Roland GO:PIANO88 88-key Music Creation Keyboard Reviews
Sweetwater knows that having 88 keys makes a big difference when you’re just learning to play the piano. Although smaller 73- or 61-note keyboards are portable and easy to handle for younger players, a full-sized 88-note keyboard helps you develop proper technique and become a better player. The Roland GO:PIANO88 offers the perfect balance between performance and portability. It's lightweight and portable (with optional battery power), yet offers a full-sized 88-note keyboard and sounds derived from Roland’s finest digital pianos, so you can play with the correct technique and expression – vital for classical music or more complex pieces.

Roland GO 88 key Piano
ABSOLYELY THE BEST piano on the market!!! I completely recommend it!!!
GO:Piano 88
I have purchased several digital pianos over the past 20 years (usually Yamaha, this is my first Roland) and this is by far the best. Great sound, full size keyboard, and portable. Also battery operated which was one of my requirements.
Quality for the cost is great.
Sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful. They listened to my requirements and did not try to upsell me, just found and sold me exactly what I wanted. Thank you!

Great starter full size keyboard
I wanted to buy this one during Christmas time for my daughter, but was all sold out. Few months later, I received an email alert about this model being on sale and I took advantage it. As usual, I've received TOP NOTCH customer service from Sweetwater (and big THANKS to my sales engineer Randy P for a follow up call).
So, if you want to get this one to get a closer feel to a piano, then this may not work for you as keys are on a lighter side compared to some of the higher end models Roland offer. Option for different sounds are limited to 4 (piano, E.piano, organ and string).
Here's some good news - it is light, sound is clear and it is a great option for someone who isn't fully committed to learn how to play piano or do not have space for a piano. Internal speaker is loud enough for you to practice. Also I have looked at other models within this price range and this by far had better sound and better feel to keys.
This may not be the one for you to use it on a live stage, but to practice or to learn piano without spending lots of money, this is great option.
Amended review
After taking this unit to the church and pushing it through the sound system I noticed a few things.
1. It sounds a bit off. It almost has too much "high". We couldn't make it sound right very easily.
2. The keys do not feel weighted enough.
3. If you need to transpose between songs the keyboard makes a loud click through the system and there is no way to stop this from happening.
4. Compared to my Casio stage piano this Roland feels very cheap.
For a beginner this is a good keyboard to start on but if you've been playing for a while and you want a keyboard with Bluetooth and you play live gigs or church services I do not recommend this at all. I was excited to see how well it did but I was quickly let down.
Simple to use
This is a lightweight, great sounding, easily connected full sized digital piano. Right out of the box I was easily able to connect my phone via Bluetooth and play along to my favorite songs and will also be using it to play with my multi tracks. It's not all flashy and fancy. It has a few great sounds and is very simple to work with the functions. It transposes easily and looks clean and streamlined. If you're wanting a fancy workstation this isn't it. But if you're wanting a great sounding , full sized 88 weighted key digital piano with Bluetooth onboard, midi options built in and a simple, clean layout then this is for you. I will be using it at church for our worship team and using my iPhone to run multi tracks through it. I'm excited to see this inexpensive Roland get to work.
This is not the same brain as the smaller Go Keyboards.
This says it's the 88 key Go Keyboard, but it's not the same brain as the smaller versions. The sounds and capabilities of the smaller versions are SO much better than this. I sent this 88 key back and got the smaller version and I was much happier with the sounds and capabilities. I'm not sure why they did this.
Full size but ...
I didn't need a ton of voices and that's what we get here, four adequate voices. I am particular about tone though and the reverb that is enabled automatically on powering up has some awful nasty artifacts that sound like crystal clinking in a cupboard. Like others have said you can't save your preferences so I have to turn the reverb off each time I turn the unit on. I was also surprised to find that the onboard metronome is through the speakers only. It is not present in the headphone jack output, so headphone practice is without metronome.
After 4 months of use those are the things that bug me. The things I like are the key action, the bluetooth and usb connectivity, and I think the piano tone is great. I hauled this to a 10 day festival so I could practice and the battery life was great. It took the road trip like a trooper.
Boy, is it cheap.
This thing sounds terrible and my power cord Jack is already failing. It is very hard to plug in an unplug the Jack from the device itself. It gets looser each time and at some point it's just going to quit I'm sure. I think I would have been happy with the $150 or $200 keyboard rather than this one. I feel like it would be about the same quality.
