Great deal for the money
Let me say that this particular guitar has impressed me more than I find words for
Is the fit finish craftsmanship are all 1st rate
I can't say enough about how excellent this guitar is for this kind of money
I will say I needed to do a setup on it but other than that it has impressed me
the TK - 40D pick up system is absolutely excellent the tuner is rock solid the tuning gears which on a guitar at this price point I almost always replace I find absolutely no need for these are really tight no backlash And fine tune each string very well
If anyone reading this has never dealt with sweet water before before I cannot begin to tell you how great a company this is to deal with and boys and my personal rep Alan Carter is just a phenomenal guy to deal with
Takamine G-series
I purchased this guitar for a backup to my Martin. Now I enjoy playing it just as much, or more. Great tone and the sound really rings out. I really like this NEX body. It is smaller, but the body produces great sound.
Great Guitar
Probably the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. Had it set-up, they lowered the action and new strings. Well worth the $... sounds and looks beautiful.
Totally Satisfied!
Absolutely fabulous!
Before buying this Takamine I was pondering the Epiphone EJ-200 Coupe. Believe me, it was going to be a toss up of which I was so undecided. I had owned Epi's as well as Tak's before. After weeks of deciding which one I settled for this Takamine and man was I ever right in my choice. This thing is absolutely beautiful and plays beyond my expectations. It came tuned perfectly and the action won't need any adjusting as of now. Looking to many happy years with this fellow. Speaking of fellows, I dealt with Curt Meyerowich who made the entire purchase easy and painless. Thanks Curt!
Beautiful guitar
This guitar has a beautiful finish and sounds amazing stays in tune and is really comfortable to play what more can I say the action was perfect where it was but I lowered it just a bit to my liking by removing one of the spaces that are under the saddle anyway thanks again to Ben Jimenez my sales rep for always reaching out and making sure I was totally satisfied with my purchase
OUTSTANDING PURCHASE!!!
I was skeptical about buying this Takamine as I have never owned or played one before, but was initially captured by its stunning look. The price made me think it might be an "ok" ax and I was hoping it would have a full sound and tone when not plugged in. This beauty arrived today and I have to say it knocked my socks off! I have been playing it for about 3 hours and found it hard to put down. The website picture does not do it justice, this guitar IS THE SH*T!!! BEAUTIFUL! Plays beautifully with perfectly smooth action and the sound is as rich and bright as any $1000 + guitar! I am a new fan of Takamine especially this GN71CE!! Got the case with it which for about $600 all together, you cannot beat this deal! If you're an old time player like me or new, a great find! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
stunning
Just received and unboxed my new Takamine (Ta-ka-mee-nay) guitar. This finely crafted musical instrument is absolutely stunning.
I'm 65 years old and have been playing from the time I was a kid in elementary school. Over the years I have played professionally and at times made my entire living from performing. I really didn't need another guitar as I have several top quality instruments to choose from but this guitar ranks up there (in my opinion) with the best of them. I can't help thinking Gibson J45 or something like that, although I may even like the neck better on this one. The finish is as near perfect as I've seen. The top sunburst seems to have a depth to it and the colors are very deep, not yellowish or cheap in any way. As of this writing I haven't yet plugged it in but I am sure it won't disappoint. The tuners seem to operate very smoothly.
There is really nothing about this instrument that I do not like. I'm going to change out the strings for extra light instead of the light gauge they have on it, which is something I would do if the guitar cost 6 times as much. Other than that, I can't find anything not to like. Amazing Japanese guitar crafted in China.
Beautiful! Beautiful!
A beautiful guitar to look at and play. It sounds beautiful as well. I love the gold hardware and the pearloid tuners. I highly reccomend getting the case for this guitar to keep it looking and sounding beautiful. A lot of guitar and case for just a little bit of money.
Another great Takamine guitar
Thanks to Ken Davis, my advisor, another fabulous choice. I had just bought a similar Takamine Guitar for my son, which we both love. I must admit I really did not want a sunburst guitar but I am so glad I ordered it. Nothing negative here....The guitar has a little more bling that I wanted but after opening the box I was blown away. It sounds awesome, is easy to play and the built in tuner works great. Using it for home studio use. One thing I noticed is that the fret markers on the side of the neck are super easy to see. Tuners work like butter too. A really stunning guitar. I ordered the Gator white / cloth covered case which, as I mentioned in my last review, has THE most comfortable handle! I think I am now a Takamine junkie!
GN71CE. Takamine
I really love everything about this guitar, it is very beautiful in color. The sound of this guitar is amazing it is big and bold. The playability is very easy, and the build in tuner makes it so easy to tune up after replacing strings or to tweet alittle if strings need it.If u want the sound to reach out just plug in cord you can make beautiful music.
Money well spent
Got a great guitar, for a great price. Mad props to Miles and the staff. Everything thing was exactly as stated. Extremely pleased. Oh and the Laffy Taffy was a nice surprise
Better Unplugged
Beautiful guitar and I love the playability and sound when unplugged. Unfortunately, the G string is all but dead when plugged in. I changed strings to no avail. I'm sure it's fixable - I just haven't decided what route to take yet.
