Gator GM-1WEVA Wireless System Lightweight Case Reviews

I packaged a Sennheiser wireless IEM transmitter in this case and it has been working great. There is enough room in the back to strap in the receiver module (for storage) and coil up the power and audio cables as well. There are two elastic loops on the back cover that make storing the RX belt-pack very convenient (does not fall out or rattle around).
While there is a separate zipper to be able to extend (rotate) the TX antenna, I do not use that as the Sennheiser seems to have enough TX power (or RX sensitivity) to make a good connection without the extra step of extending the antenna out of the case. (For reference, I am within 25-35 feet.)
The padding is sufficient for protecting the transmitter. The zippers work well (dual pulls on both the front and back covers.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy this again - definitely recommend it for folks looking for a portable enclosure for your wireless IEM.

Although this particular item was a gift for my singer, Lisa. I have had much positive musical experiences with Gator products of various kinds. Lisa is very happy with this soft case for her Shure ULXs wireless. She does other projects besides our band, THE MUSTANGS (Remembering Woodstock) a Woodstock band. Only one thins was ODD to her, she thought the mic placement in the case should be backend sticking out so you could grab it easier. everything else for her is GREAT, access to cables. antenna all make this case a joy to use/have/work from. I feel good knowing I could help her out, make her happy, with the help of Josh & the whole SWEETWATER TEAM -THANKS

This is an awesome case!!! I called one of the sweetwater reps, (and I wish I could recall his name,) he gave me a recommendation as to which case I should purchase...I was originally going to buy a hard shelled case....He told me that he had the perfect case... Sight unseen, I bought it.... He was absolutely right!!! It is the perfect case!!!

A number of reviews mentioned the case was a little pricey for what you get. It works perfect for my audio technica setup to be more portable than in a rack setup. Everything is stored in a nice compact case. Only issue has been the front and rear flaps tend to get in the way occasionally when the case is open and in use.

The one "stand alone" unit of my nine Line 6 XD-V receivers permanently occupies its highly protective "wash and wear" (or, more accurately, "sponge down and wear") GM-1WEVA.

It's become part of a "grab and go" kit, as this bag accommodates the receiver's "companion" THH12 handheld, along with a mic clip, "foamy" urethane windgag, "Koala" ("furry") windsock, USB adapter cable and a short XL connecting cable.

The XD-V's are the deepest half-rack receivers I've encountered, so mine uses the bag's full length, with its antennae deploying perfectly from behind the sturdy zipper that secures the rear one of Gator's two unique end caps.

I'd be surprised if there was a half-rack system that could NOT be easily deployed while housed in this rugged little beauty, given that most shorter receivers (such as Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and Shure) either have front panel antennae, (that would extend forward of the front end cap's zipper, ...the opposite of my Line 6) ...or rear-mounted antennae for which Gator have provided a pair of zippered access slots at TWO different depths from the front.

This means there's a total of FOUR "fold out" spots for chassis-mounted whip antennae.

The Party Trick ?

When folded back (as far as they'll go) under the receiver, the end caps form a surprisingly stable "stand" riser that's perfect for operational elevation above a table or rack.

I have no hesitation in unequivocally recommending this ergonomic and roadworthy mini-masterpiece.

This case is perfect for the wireless mic system I have. Easily accessible and compact. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I wish there was a way for the end zippered openings to be secured down if you wanted to fold them under. Would definitely recommend.

This is the perfect solution for transporting your wireless system as well as quick setup in the field. Works great with our Sennheiser handheld system and AKG lavalier system. The receiver opening is a bit oversize, but extra foam pads are included to shim the sides for a nice fit. For what it is, I expected the price your in the $40's. Quality is very good, and I expect it will last.

Nice pouch

Already starting to fall apart after very little use. Pretty disappointed since it is Gator who have a great reputation.

Maybe I'm a victim of my own expectations but I was disappointed in the quality of this case. My only previous experience with Gator products was that of a friend who owns a Gator guitar case and is quite happy with it, so I assumed that Gator was the brand to buy for superior gear. One of the things that surprised me was the fact that, even though the case is (supposedly) built specifically for wireless systems, I still had to find places within it to fit all the components of my Sennheiser system.

I also thought that the product itself would be more durable, especially for the price. I probably could have gotten the same effect by wrapping my gear in bubble wrap and sticking it in a gym bag. In my opinion, this product would be OK for $20-25, but definitely not for $.

I like the quality of the case and the pocket you get for a mic but I cannot get past how much of a pain the front and rear covers are. When you unzip them the covers are supposed to fold under but they want to flip up in the closed postiion, making it difficult do adjust whatever you have inside. If they where removable it would be 20x's better.
