GLDX25+ Not real happy

By Kerry A. from BRODHEAD, KY
Music Background: musician, and sound engineer for the past 30 years

I've been using this unit and the guitar wireless version for a couple months now and love the sound but about where it ends. It likes to drop out and really bad latency at 50 feet or more. I've been using line 6 wireless mic and guitar wireless for the past several years and figured I would upgrade to Shure but I believe it was a downgrade. I could go all over huge clubs with no latency and minimal dropouts. I now feel confined.

Excellent system

By elric p. from Evansville, IN
Music Background: I am a professional musician and studio owner

Set up on this system could not be easier. It's literally just turn on and wait a few seconds and then everything is connected and ready to go. As soon as you turn on the system and the mic, they instantly pair up hassle free. I upgraded from an older SLX system, and this all around, seems to be better, and with a cleaner signal. My only complaint would be I wish the microphone gave you the option of changing it between cardioid and super cardioid, but beyond that, it's very solid. This microphone tends to push the high frequency range more than the low in my opinion. It's also a very hot microphone so if you don't have a real powerful voice, it will still pick you up very easily. I like it a lot better than my old SM58. The only Shure mic I have that is better for live. Events is the KSM9, the only problem is that Mic cost almost as much as this entire system
