These are tried and true, highly flexible and high quality.

This seemed too good to be true... and it was.

Simple:(1) Have a cable tester ready once you have created the cable; (2) Don't be surprised by less than acceptable results.

First of all these wires are like 2cm thick, or thin I should say. They look like the freakin power cables coming out of the pedal power supply they're so thin. Secondly, they're so exposed it's not even funny. You just stick the exposed wire and shielding into a little needle and hope it connects, which half the time it does not. I had to make three cables before one worked, and the only thing I did differently to make it work was to hold the wire in a little harder and bend it a little less, which tells me that the signal is literally living on a prayer with the hot connection in there. Just get soldered cables and be done with it.

Deducted 1/2 star because they do not send enough plugs imo.

They send 10, which equals 5 pedals worth...lots of cable left over, and additional plugs cost a lot. Must be how they make their after purchase revenue. This seems consistent between all makers of this item regardless of brand.

So, yes it is a great kit, but you will spend... on additional plugs.

I was able to build my patch cables in one sitting and all worked with zero failure, if I can do it anyone can.

I was able to build 4 out of 5 patch cables with no problem. One failed the test on the cable tester I have so I re did it and no problem.

My only complaint is I didn't have enough plugs to do my board so had to order 4 more. For some reason one of the four wouldn't make the connections so I have to send that pair back because I'm not sure which one is the problem. I tried testing with my fluke and couldn't get connectivity with it either. A bit disappointing as these aren't cheap plugs.

The patch cables I did successfully build played nicely and were very east to work with on the new board I was building. All in all I recommend them but they are a tad pricey. However they are perfect for this job with their small footprint on the board vs traditional cables which are thick and bulky.

Great quality. Took a couple of tries to get the hang of assembly.
Love the versatility to precisely fit my pedal board.

I finally got serious about organizing my pedal board using the suggestions found on the Sweetwater website (separating pedal power cables, from signal cables, checking cable continuity, etc., etc.). I also decided to use George L's connectors and cables because I wanted a clean look with specific cable lengths customized to fit the distance between pedals and to minimize cable length. I couldn't believe the results! The board sounds great with minimal noise, and it looks great as well! I suggest following the directions seen on the George L website and testing each cable with a multimeter to assure continuity. This will save you a lot of headaches before assembling the board.

I required some assistance with executing the cable construction otherwise George L gets 5 stars in my book.

So I downsized and rebuilt my board and thought I would go with a cheaper competitor cable and save myself a few bucks. BIG MISTAKE! I should have known better than to change up what always works. The cost of this snafu was a good lesson however. Night and day difference and bye bye noise. Super clean as always with George L's. I will never sacrifice again. Anyone that is not familiar with George L cables let me reassure you they are well worth every penny you pay for them. Been using them for years and I know better than to fix what's not broken.

Make sure to use pliers after hand tightening the heads and you will never have any issues with these cables. Not to mention they clean a board up amazingly and create a lot more space in the process. I would put these up against any higher priced cable as well. There is a reason so many professional players use these.
