I bought this for my LTD Viper, and it fits perfectly. It feels very well made, and seems like it will last a long time. If you are looking for a case in this price range, go with this one.

Very nice case, worth the $ , fits my PAC112 perfectly, very protective.

First of all it fits my PRS Paul's Guitar perfectly as described. This case is definitely nice and lightweight. The foam and velour inside are ample for my pride and joy. The exterior has a good solid feel and I've had no problem stacking it twice now with hard cases in a trailer. It's a solid choice for anyone needing an ultra portable case for a great price.

Very sturdy without the weight of a hardshell. Interior is very plush and fits my Reverend Double Agent W like a glove!

My Strat fits perfectly in this sturdy foam case. I was looking for something light weight, but tough. This case is both. It has a couple of generous size storage areas for cords , etc. inside, and a big pocket outside for flat stuff.

This lightweight case is practical and, for my purposes, a better solution than the Fender-style hard case. I got it to use with my PRS SE Custom, and it is a perfect fit with plenty of room for everything I need to carry with me, including a gel pack for humidity control, various tools, extra strings, and other essentials. The external pocket is an excellent size for notebooks and manuscript papers. Very good product for the price.

I've purchased 2 of these cases from Sweetwater so far and wished I had discovered them sooner. These are perfect for the local based musician who stores at home or personally transports their guitar to gigs. They are so much better than a gigbag, and offer a great fit and protection. I got this case since it was a recommended fit for my Ibanez RGMS8 and it holds that baby nice and snug. It's my first time buying a Gator case but it wont be the last.


If it's a good fit for your guitar I'd say its great for protecting in normal use cases. I don't know if I'd trust it to checked baggage at an airport or to be kicked around though. However, this isn't that kind of case, and I don't travel with my guitars.

Bonus: The new case smell... that was great too. Smells nice every time I go to retrieve my guitar. For those who aren't familiar yet, it's like new car smell, but better. I'm glad I bought it and I'll buy more like it in the future.

This was a great purchase - I've got many guitars and many cases and many gig bags but this is now my go to for sure. It fits many (but not all) of my guitars and it's just perfect for around town gigs, rehearsals, etc (not for flights). Love the mix of the light weight but the solid protection it gives. Love the shoulder strap as it makes it really easy to carry my guitar and my amp - in fact, I like it better than a gig bag because I can't tell you how many times I have been walking around with a gig bag and through a low doorway when I forget I am carrying a guitar and smash the neck into the doorframe, etc - so lucky I've never actually just snapped a neck! Get this case if it fits your guitar and I feel confident you will be happy.

I bought one of these for my EVH Striped series guitar. It fits perfectly and provides plenty of protection for the instrument. I highly recommend this case.. it's way more than it appears. Would I buy another one? Yes, without hesitation. High quality product.

This fits my Fender Player Acoustasonic Telecaster like a glove; took just a slight amount of pressure to get the body in, but the foam interior is molding to it nicely after a few weeks. It keeps the guitar in place really well, has a couple of storage spaces on the interior to put picks/strings/batteries/etc. along with plenty of extra space around the headstock for your tuner and other stuff.

I've got the Gator Lightweight Dreadnought acoustic case, had it for years, so I knew what I was getting with this one. I think it's a great middle-point between a heavy hardshell case that will protect your guitar from a bomb but also break your back, and a gig bag that is convenient and light but offers little protection. I think this is also a nice step up from the stock Fender gig bag that came with the Acoustasonic, which does seem much better than a standard floppy gig bag but doesn't offer quite as much protection as the Gator.

The storage pockets on the exterior fit a couple of cables in the 'net' area, and fits my 14" 2-in-1 laptop in the zippered pocket that I use to save and display song sheets on. My only knock against it is that the removeable strap is an over-the-shoulder style rather than backpack-style, but I knew that ahead of time and went with it anyway because I knew that the storage pockets would fit everything I needed (especially the laptop) in addition to offering great protection for my guitar. Other companies offer similar products, but I decided to go with a known quantity and forego the backpack straps. Even with the guitar and odds-and-ends inside, it's still light enough that it won't put a hurtin' on your back or shoulders.

I'm glad I got mine here at Sweetwater courtesy of Jeremiah Smith and the management team who hooked me up. I also purchased the guitar here a Squire Classic Vibe 60s Esquire Custom to put in this baby. Here's the pictures. I knew these cases would go quicker than you can say Sweetwater. Now,they're on backorder, grab one when they're available because they have the full protection of a hs case but the confort,flexibility of a gigbag, very easy to carry than a hard case which feels like you're picking up a trunk instead of a case.

Awsome case I thought it would b okay for temporary use but its just as good if not better than a hardshell.i will definitely b getting another with my next gutair purchase. Thank you Sweetwater

MORE protection than a gig bad and light. If you're not touring it is a great alternative for a case

This case fits my Variax 600 great. Very rigid, but plush. The zippers move very easily on this unit, so improvements may have been made since the time others mentioned they were difficult to move. Interior compartments get covered when the top closes so I don’t anticipate stuff getting loose. There are two exterior pockets: a fully zippered and enclosed one, and a slightly smaller mesh with a zipper at each end.

Great to have a case that doesn't weigh more than the instrument. Also kudos to Sweetwater for shipping promptly, efficiently and economically to the Dominican Republic.

Exactly what I was looking for. Now I don't have to carry a bulky heavy guitar case. This is light and very protective.

For the price you can't beat this case, fits my Stratocaster very nice and snug. Light weight and nicely made, zipper is stiff at first but a little rub of a soap bar did the trick. Foam is very sturdy and the nylon looks really classy, and plenty of room for cables and straps. I would buy one again.

Nice Case! As in Description, Lightweight and fits my Fender Telecaster very well. Plenty of storage with the inside compartments on each side of the Neck and outer 2 pockets. The Zippers will need worked a little to make them work smoothly but free up nicely and work very well. Good protection with the feel of a solid case. Much better than a gig bag!! Great if you're carrying your own Guitar. I wouldn't try to fly with this case or have Roadies carrying it all the time as it has ample protection but will not take too much rough handling. Case can't be thrown around. I do work a lot so it gets used but like I said I carry my Guitar no-one else. As for service, Sweetwater was Great! Arrived in two days and advice from Delvin Wolf and his assistant Katie was spot on again! Keep up the Good Work Sweetwater!!

If you can't decide whether to get a case or a gig bag for your electric guitar, this is just what you're looking for. I've long been a fan of Gator cases, so for me the dilemma wasn't a choice between Gator and another brand, but which Gator case to buy. This lightweight case was a great choice. It has the feather weight of a gig bag, combined with the rigid protection of a case. The exterior is heavy-duty material, the zipper closure is rugged and substantial, the plush interior is guitar finish-friendly, and there's plenty of storage in the inner compartment and outer pockets. It fits my Telecaster like a fur-lined glove, and the guitar's neck is securely cradled so it doesn't flop around inside the case when the case is closed. Another great product in the Gator line, and the usual great service from Norb and all the folks at Sweetwater.

I bought one of these for an American standard tele recently after using one for artist series Jim root Tele two years ago. The zippers are still fine on the older one, the extra pockets on the out side fit music books just fine and the smaller pocket keeps all your accessories just fine cant beat it for the price.

An excellent case at a great price - I'm using this case for a Stratocaster and the guitar fits perfectly - the neck is nicely supported and there is joust enough room top-to-bottom to get the guitar in and out of the case easily - and plenty of room in the trays for pick, strings, winder, slide and a tuner - still room for a pedal.

The EPC (expanded polystyrene) foam core is rigid and provides a hard case like feel to what would otherwise be a rectangular gig bag.

The handle(s) are placed so the the case is nicely balanced when you have your guitar in the case and the outside pocket is just the right size for tablature or songbooks.

Overall a great bargain - I'll probably buy another one of these when the need for another case arises.

This is better than the gig bag Ibanez makes for their short scale MiKro Basses, by far. I'm pretty sure it'll also fit the PRS SE & S2 guitars, specifically, my SE Custom 24. As long as a person is careful with the closure zippers, I'm sure it'll hold up to all but extreme transporting situations. it's very light, & very sturdy...I have the bass size of this case for my Ibanez GSR205SM, which is why I thought of this size for my new MiKro bass.

Great case @ a great price. Lightweight but very secure. Precision molding keeps your guitar where you put it...also 2 zippered pockets to keep your cords etc. Very pleased!

I believe that this case is sold primarily as a Stratocaster case, but I bought it for my Tele and it fits just shy of perfect. Not much flop or wiggle when you zip it and pick it up. Great case!

Very lightweight and provides excellent protection. I have no reservations putting my expensive, custom built Warmoth Tele in here. I bought one of these and a Fender Metro Gigbag at the same time (from Sweetwater, of course). This is just ten dollars more and thirty times better. Very good guitar luggage. I'm very happy with this soft case. Great quality, Great price, Great fit. My Strat and Tele fit perfectly. (not at the same time haha) I also tried my Schecter C-1 Classic for giggles, and it does fit, but it's slightly tight when closing the top due to the height of the bridge, but no big deal - I bought it for the Strat anyway.

I bought the Gator GL-Elec from Sweetwater in April, 2012. I got it for 'My Baby'-- my '86 Fender Strat (Candy Apple Red w/ Flyod Rose) and I couldn't be happier. It's more of a case than 'gig-bag' and it holds a Strat perfectly, with plenty of storage room for accy's -- whammy bar, picks, allen wrenches, straps, whatever. It's sturdy and yet it's light weight. The 'case' is so nice that when my wife saw it the day it came, she said to buy more for my other Strats -- and she doesn't tell me to buy more of anything when it comes to my guitars ;-). And buy another one (at least) I will, for my Fender Blacktop Strat, also bought here at Sweetwater.

I wanted a case that is light but strong to hold my Strat. A friend had a case similar to the Gator GL-Elec and I liked it alot. I looked up the reviews of the GATOR and decided to try one. What a great case! A super tight fit and just as well made as a 200.00 case. Getting it from Sweetwater means no hassle and super fast service.

Wow! For the money I can't imagine a much better case. Perfect for gigging around town. It offers plenty of protection for going anywhere except air travel or touring. Nice and light, yet still rigid. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if needed.

I highly recommend this case/gig bag,...it is a very high quality product for the money and I really believe you won't find a case in this same price range as good as this one. Gator has done one heck of a good job with the design of the case/gig bag,...you could call it a hybrid,...but my new Strat fits snugly inside and is well protected.

It's a rare time when I have purchased a product without actually putting hands on, but the Gator GL - Elec gig bag for my new STRAT is spot on with the way is was advertised. Personally, I think Sweetwater might want to include this case with all their MIM Strats, for just a few bucks more. This way the guitar would be shipped in the case, held firmly against the rigors of shipping. By the way, my Strat is the second guitar I purchased from Sweetwater, and both stay in tune. My next guitar will be a PRS 24.

I really liked the case although i had some issues with the guitar that came with it. My nephew ended up with them both and is just as happy as can be. Case was pretty and looked made good. I was kinda jeoulous after i gave it to the teenager.

I am very happy with this case! I already owned one for the bass and needed a new electric case. The price for this is excellent. I have a variety of guitars - mostly strat/superstrat styles. This fits all of them, including room for the strap locks that stick out a little bit further. With every guitar I own, it is a snug fit. This case protects the guitar very well and won't leave a mark on your wall or woodwork if you accidentally bang it there. I would definitely recommend this case.

Although it's a somewhat snug fit for my Les Paul, you would be hard pressed to find a better hybrid gig bag this close to a hard case. The price is also extremely reasonable.

I was skeptical of this case before I bought it because it looks so much like a gig bag instead of a case. But it's really a case with a foam frame and a heavy weight nylon covering. The foam is much more sturdy than I would have thought. It also makes the case very light, much lighter than a case with a wooden frame. It has very good neck support for your guitar. It has plastic feet on the bottom and it will stand up easily without worrying if it's going to fall over. I'm used to using the metal fasteners on most cases so at first the zipper opener for the case seemed bothersome but I'm used to it now, and the zippers are very sturdy and work great. The two compartments inside the case are sealed by the lid of the case and it seems to work well. I haven't had any thing come out of the compartments and rattle around in the case yet. The only thing that I would question about the case is the shoulder strap. The strap is fine, but the fastener clips on the ends of the strap are made out of thin plastic and I don't know how long they would last with regular use, but I doubt I'll use the strap much anyway. I bought one for my Squire Telecaster and liked it so much that I bought another for my Statocaster. For the money I don't think you'll get a better case.

These offer the best of both worlds.. Protection rivaling a hard shell with soft gig bag like exterior. No scuffed car interiors or walls in your house with this case. Fits a PRS SE SAS nicely.

Replaced a standard gig-bag with this (wanted the extra neck support and rigidity) and really glad I did. Lightweight, solid build, quality zippers, plenty of room for assorted gig paraphernalia, inexpensive, fits my Charvel pro-mod (or my MIM Strat) like a dream.

One thing to note is that the shoulder strap attaches across the zippered side of the case, so you can't open it with the strap attached; probably would have preferred back-pack style straps. On the other hand, the regular handle is in the perfect spot balance-wise (which was a dealbreaker for me with a similar style from a different manufacturer). Overall def very happy with it.

This lightweight case fits my Strat perfectly. It's fine for daily storage and occasional local travel. The outer case is well made from heavy nylon. The inserts are made from expanded foam covered with soft velour lining. The inserts are what I feel wouldn't hold up to heavy travel so frequent travelers should get a hard case.

Love it. It's nice and light, yet durable. Fits my new Charvel very nicely. You don't have to worry about "dings" on your guitar if the panel hits it. I recommend it to anyone who tours or gigs.

This is a very good quality case for the money. I use it for a Fender Telecaster and it fits very well. It is light, but sturdy enough to protect your fine instruments. Sweetwater is a very customer oriented provider of fine gear and I would give them a 5 star rating. They follow up, and are always there for help in finding the best guitars at the most competitive pricing.

Well made and solid. Good balance with gitar in case. I highly recomend it. My Kramer with a Floyd Rose fits real nice.I feel it's a Good Buy.

Gator makes very nice cases; this is my second of this model and both are very hard to zipper on the left side.

This is listed as a "Certified fit" for the S7. It does not fit.

The body section would need to be about 1" longer to fit the S7.

Seems like decent quality otherwise.

My 2015 Xmas present, a Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe P90, fits perfectly! Great neck support, internal storage pockets, and zippered pockets on front for other accessories. Lightweight and superior protection, as opposed to a plain ol' gig bag. Bought another for my Telemods Pacifica 311s, fits and looks great! It would earn 5 stars if it cost $59.95 or less. :-)

Please be aware!!!!! I purchased this Case a year ago and it fit my Telecaster like a glove. Ordered one last month for my New Telecaster and the Case was TOO LONG! The guitar slid back and forth in the case. Spoke to my Sales Tech Delvin Wolf and it seems Gator has changed the interior dimensions and never told Sweetwater. I also called Gator and was given the same response with an appology. Due to the demand for Baratone Guitars Gator has changed the length of the Case making it 3 1/2" longer! It would be nice if Gator kept up with their products and sent the proper information to their Retailors!! Many thanks to Delvin for jumping on this situation ASAP and getting me a new case out!

I got this for my Kramer The 84, and it barely contains the Kramer's endless headstock. Fortunately, the foam and fabric construction allows enough give to fit, but I'd be leery of banging it into anything lengthwise. It's a fine case for light duty, just be aware that deviant headstock shapes may be a tight fit.

First and foremost, Sweetwater and my rep have been absolutely amazing from day one. I love Sweetwater. This has nothing to do with Sweetwater.

Okay, so for years I have used these cases as a professional touring and recording musician. I play a Fender Stratocaster. You know, the most iconic popular guitar in guitar history. Gator has changed the dimensions of this case, and now, Stratocasters don't fit in them.

It is inexplicable to me that no one at Gator thought to, I don't know, maybe check and see if a Stratocaster might fit in the case?

I emailed Gator to inquire, and was basically told they would look into it and see if there were enough complaints to warrant going back to the old dimensions. Right. Because there aren't a lot of Strat players out there. The last thing Gator would want to do is make a case that accommodates a lesser known, lesser used guitar like the Stratocaster.

This sucks. This case has been an amazing option for me because it protects the guitar but is also very lightweight and rugged. I hope enough people get peeved with this and speak up.

In December 2018 I purchased a PRS SE Custom 24 and a Gator GL-Electric case from Sweetwater. I have purchased over 15 of these cases in the past as well as in 2018 with no issues. It was a great case and very lightweight and fit all my PRS SE Custom 22 and 24, Fender Tele & Strat guitars nice and snuggly. The new case arrived at the end of December ... it was quite a bit larger - over 3 inches longer. I returned the case and Cameron in tech support will check the cases in stock to see if there are any 40 inch cases. I contacted Eric over at Gator Cases and.initially he claimed the cases were supposed to be 39.5" long externally. He stated mine had been a defect. Then I saw a recent review in December 2018 where another Sweetwater customer experienced the same thing ... case too long ... no longer snug ... guitar floats around in case. His salesperson got him the right case. I am still waiting a week later. I called Eric at Gator and had him check again. This time he finally spoke with an engineer that confirmed "that there actually was a design change about a year-and-half ago, so the body should be exactly the same and they just extended the next stock. Just a few inches to accommodate a few other guitars. I guess that we're very popular.". Apparently not so popular with several us that were burned with cases that no longer fit. Gator never communicated the change internally or to its distributors about the design change. This was a big fail for Gator and this case and Sweetwater. I have seen such a case of miscommunication throughout this whole "ordeal".
