Quality bag, works great for my Studiologic xpiano 73.

By Mark from South Central Vermont
Music Background: Percussionist by training, Keyboard player by default.

I tried the smaller bag, because this keyboard is small for a 73 key unit and I had read about people having some good results with it. Did not for me.
I bought this bag intended for a 76 key slim keyboard and it works great. It's a tad bi, bit not clumsy big and i like the slim part of it.
Gator makes good quality, reasonably priced bags. Can't complain about anything. Sweetwater always delivers, checks in to see if things are working and the take care of requests and/or issues if they arise. I'm happy.

Fits like a glove

By JC from Augusta, WV
Music Background: Road weary Pro turned weekend warrior

I am using this for an Alesis Concert 88 and you would think it was custom fitted by Gator just for this keyboard. I purchased this based on the internal dimensions and am beyond satisfied. Extension cord, power cord, RCA to 1/4" jack, and a sustain pedal all easily pack into the external pocket with room to spare. I thank you for such a fine product.

Great, Long Lasting Case

By John M. from Austintown, OH

I have several Gator cases and they are all solid - long lasting zippers, storage on outside for pedals/cables, and strong handles. This particular case is the perfect fit for my Roland Juno DS76.

Don't complain!!!

By Nicko55 from So Cal

Gigging musicians mostly also use a cart to transport gear to and from the stage at a gig I have used this bag for the past 8 years with no problem. Great quality from Gator.

Great bag, needs a shoulder strap

By Alicia W. from Brooklyn, NY

The quality of this Gator bag is excellent. I have a 76-key Nord that I'm carrying in this, and the inner velcro straps hold my keyboard in place, despite there being extra room at the end of the bag. That's not an issue. I would recommend this bag, but it is annoying that there's no shoulder strap. It's just awkward to carry around. Not a huge deal if you're just running in and out from your car, but it would definitely get annoying if you had to carry this on a daily basis. The lack of shoulder strap makes it difficult to carry the bag long distances. I am surprised Gator made this bag withOUT the shoulder strap; it's so counter-intuitive. You're still getting a high quality bag that will keep your keyboard safe, but be prepared to be annoyed that you can't just sling it on your shoulder. Other than that, great bag. :)

Nice Bag and Can Even Fit SOME 88-Key Units

By Paul B. from AUSTIN, TX
Music Background: Semi Pro Weekend Warrior

Huge Gator fan. I have bags that are over 10 years old still going strong. No tears, handles in tact, zippers fine. This 77-key slim bag fits my Roland FP-2 88-key electric piano about as snug as you could want. Like it was made to order. Was looking for a slim bag (most are really wide) and checked out the spec measurements. I knew it was going to be close, but it fits perfectly. The two pockets are plenty large for a hold pedal, adapter, small DI box, and even some cables. The fact that it was a Demo and a great deal makes it even better. I guess the demo was short - it seems new. Spotless and all tags. The Roland is heavy so will see how the handles hold up. But I am not going to gig with this unit that much so should not be a problem. The padding is not super thick, but at this price I did not expect such. It's a nice case.

Gator gig bag

By Johnny A. from New Hampshire

Yup... blown away. fits my Yamaha p115B like a hand made glove. The interior Velcro straps just add to the security of knowing the board isn't flopping around in the case. Honestly it's a gem at this price. first one came with about a 6" tear where the zipper attaches to the case. Emailed Patrick at Sweet...Sweetwater and had another one at my door about 42 hours later. Not a surprise though, Patrick just performs miracles .... all the time! Can't go wrong here!

It's just ok

By Prakash W. from Sewanee, TN USA
Music Background: College Professor, Jazz Pianist, Church Musician, Composer,

Got this to transport a Roland RD 64. It does the job well, but it doesn't have a shoulder strap. C'mon Man!! How you not gonna have a shoulder strap? Other than that it's pretty decent.

Gator GKB-76 Bag is Awesome.

By Brad from Brentwood, TN
Music Background: Hobbyist

My search for the perfect bag started when I purchased two other keyboard gig bags (from other retailers) and had to return them both because of size, quality and handling requirements. While the price for the Gator bag was more, the size, quality and handling characteristics were WELL WORTH the extra $40.

The quality of the thick canvas material on the outside, the softness of the material on the inside, the two zippers used to close the bag, the padding on all sides, rubber pads on the bottom edge and the design of the handles are awesome. (The handles are not the regular strap handles, they are rounded and rigid where you grip the handles but, drop out of the way when you unzip the bag.) The inside of the bag has very soft cloth material and there are two nicely padded straps (about 1" thick) that Velcro to another strap on the opposite sides of the bag to secure the keyboard.

The pouch on the side of the bag is a bonus, allowing for a few extras. It has a high quality zipper as well.

I use the bag to carry an 88 key Studiologic MIDI keyboard controller. The dimensions of the keyboard are 9"x49 3/4"x3". (iPad with an iRig interface works and sounds great) I designed and built a small wood table/stand (12"x48"x2) to mount the keyboard to and used metal legs from an old card table that fold up into the table/stand. I also designed and built a music stand that folds down over the top of the keyboard while stored. Total weight is 32 lbs. (The bag could easy handle twice that because of the quality of the material and design of the handles.)

All this to say EVERYTHING fits perfectly in the bag and carrying it with everything in it is easy because of the slim size, durable construction and the easy grip of the handles.

My review would not be complete if I didn't mention the professional and courteous nature of the sales force.

Bottom Line: The question should be "If it costs more, is it worth it." and the answer is a definitive yes. I highly recommend this bag to any one considering it for their gear. Thanks Sweetwater, you guys are the best.
