Does what it says
Does exactly what it says. The only caveat is that it uses a large screw instead of a small one, so I needed an adapter to screw it into my mic stand. But it mounts the camera conveniently for recording performances and such.
Perfect for mounting a webcam with a mic stand and boom arm
I got this to mount my webcam with a mic stand and boom arm over my piano for taking videos of my piano playing. It does the job perfectly.
Exactly what I needed
I needed to hang a lightweight camera on the end of a mic boom to get a streaming video shot from an extremely awkward angle. This did the job, and as usual with Sweetwater, shipping would only have been faster if they'd used a teleporter.
Giving it 4.5 stars because everyone else did, though I can't imagine what Gator could do to make it .5 stars better.
Perfect for mounting cameras and ring lights
I teach voice and music lessons online, and was looking for an easy way to mount my Canon DSLR (which I use as a webcam) and a ring light to the back of my studio desk. I figured, why buy a special stand for cameras and lights when I already have so many mic stands laying around? This attachment has held my camera nice and steady for months with no trouble. It's a little bit fiddly to get set up initially, just because the ball and socket joint allows so much flexibility and it took some time to get it adjusted properly at first. But I have zero complaints -- it's perfect for the job. I'm actually buying two more for teaching in different settings!
It's been holding a Nikon SLR for over two weeks and hasn't budged.
I screwed it into my Nikon SLR pointed down at my pedalboard for live streaming and it hasn't moved at all. Pairs very well with my Hercules mic stand. Haven't had to correct or readjust since I put it in place over two weeks ago.
