Great for gigging or studio

By Steven Eddy from Texas on May 2, 2019 Music Background: Former Professional

I have these on all of my mic stands.
It is so convenient to simply plug in a mic with clip attached to the stand - makes set up and tear down so fast and easy.

These also make it easy to switch out mics when recording as well.

Buy enough for all of your stands and some extra mic clip thingys as well - and you'll never be happier!

Excellent

I have a set of these for my Shure PGA56 conga mics. They are very well made and are far superior to the On-Stage push-button type. They cost twice as much but they are far superior and well worth the difference. The Frameworks unit snaps in smartly and securely and, because of its hex-shaped shaft, it only takes a slight turn of the wrist to line it up and you're always within 60º of hitting home. Pop it in and the mic does not move, which is a fundamental requirement for this type of mic.

Unlike the On-Stage mount, you don't have to feel around for a button to insert or remove the mic (which defeats the "quick release" concept)), plus the Onstage version only lines up at one specific point, which is a heck of an annoyance in the dark.

I bought the Frameworks three-pack. They also offer them in a five-pack with zipper case. I'm very happy with mine. For anyone who has microphones with a standard-sized built-in mounts (such as Shure drum mics), these are an absolute must-have.

I use it for my Shure Super 55 mic. It works perfectly!

The best

I've had a few different quick release joints for mics but this is the best I've come across. The Gravity quick release can turn left and right a good fraction of a turn when locked but this is much more solid and stable. It's expensive but built to last and the best functioning I've tried, so I'm planning on a few more.

Wrong Part

...I tried it and had to send it back. This is a great product for any other mic, but the Super 55.

Here is the only thing that I found that works: Shure A26X Extension Tube for Desk Stands on B & H.

Not so quick

I bought this because it was recomemded and shown with a Shure S55 microphone, Which is all I use and is a hassle to mount and unmount. Big mistake!! It won't fit this microphone. A real waste of money for me. I nearly stripped my mic after getting it caught in this contraption
