Gator Frameworks Tall Combo Amp Stand
Gator Frameworks Tall Combo Amp Stand Reviews
You've got great tone and plenty of volume, so why can't you hear or your audience really your amp? One of the easiest fixes is to get your amp off the floor, which is exactly what this Gator Frameworks GFWGTRAMP200 high combo amp stand does. In fact, this tall stand lifts you amp way up there, up to 30" farther from the stage and closer to your ears. What's more, the GFWGTRAMP200 lets you tilt back you amp, further pointing it up toward you. And one thing Sweetwater guitarists love about the GFWGTRAMP200 is how adjustable it is. You can set the hight securely, and then adjust the tilt-back angle to best suit your height.
Sadly, not a good stand
I've had this thing for a very long time, and it's very rare that I actually try to use it. It's so sketchy putting anything heavy on it. There's two total bolts that hold everything together and they are slightly loose. They feel like you can't put much weight on them and it's very shaky. Each time I pull it out, I remember that I meant to throw it away the last time I pulled it out.
Great stand, but heads up for Orange 35RT owners ....
I bought this stand for my Orange RT35 amp. It fits perfectly as it lifts the amp high enough so I can neatly place another amp below. The stand is functionally sturdy, low profile and economical. The only issue I had was the left rear support blocks the FX loop send/ return ports. I tried to flip/ reverse the stand lift, but to do so would have the support portion backwards, ... and that didn't look or feel right. I found it easier to just shorten the one support so the ports could be accessible- problem fixed.
Elevated Marshall Combo
Over the years I toted around a Marshall JCM-900 with 1960a cabinet(s) to gigs. After retiring from professional, I purchased a Marshall MG50GFX from Sweetwater for practicing, I needed elevation for the sake of easy access and adjustments. This amp stand filled the bill perfectly for my combo. Nice hight, steady and adjustable.
Very easy to use
I bought this because I was having trouble hearing my amp at shows where I was performing. I have been able to hear myself way better with using this stand.
Great Stand For Small Amps
Perfect size for small single speaker combo amps. Allows getting the amp off the floor and in easy ear shot that allows you to minimize stage or practice volume. Solid build and can handle my 20lb Gender Champion and my Mark IV-35.
I bought to hold a fender blues jr
Very well built, easy to use. My only concern is that the two metal pieces that hold the amp up are quite short - if you like you're amp sitting straight up, it looks like the amp could easily fall off. For now, I'm adjusting the stand so the amp leans back...
The Best
I did a lot of searching before I decided to get this one. Most that I saw wouldn't adjust up as high as I wanted my cabinet to be. Others required too much tilt back, and I prefer it more straight. This stand solved both of those problems. It holds the weight of my Mesa 1-12" Rectifier cab easily, and the center of gravity is fine so that it doesn't feel like it's going to tip. Great product all around.
Amp stand
I bought stand based on name brand and versatility of positions. I am disappointed to find that this stand is not very well built. It requires you to position the stand in just a few positions otherwise it tips over. The back leg frame is connected in a concerning one bolt fashion almost appearing that it can be torn off. Do not buy this.
Nice amp stand.
I purchased this stand to get a good angle and dial in my amp while reamping in my home studio. The stand is sturdy and offers a decent range of angles from upright to flat. The one issue I have with this stand is that if rest my amp in the cradle, just like the Marshall amp in the product photos, the support beam blocks my speaker output jacks. I used some furniture sliders to raise the amp a bit, problem solved.
