This is the one - Guild F-55 Maple Antique Burst
Where to begin? Strumming an Em chord on this guitar is orchestral! And strumming one chord is followed by lots more strumming because this guitar sounds wonderful and is very comfortable to play. As a jumbo you might think it does great with force and loudness, and it does, it's fabulous for driving rhythms and all kinds of rhythmic play, but its voice is round and very warm when played softly as well. The guitar is well balanced, I can hear all 6 strings clearly when strummed, and its got that very pleasureable sound of notes that pop out when picked. Everything I do sounds better on this guitar, and I've been playing a Martin D-41 for about 15 years. Obviously that's a great guitar too, but stand aside because this Guild is right there with it.
This is a beautiful guitar, evenmore stunning than the photos can show, and the flamed maple back gets special oohs and aahs for beauty, and the antique burst finish highlights the maple nicely. I like the Gotoh open-back tuners, they're very smooth and the guitar stays in tune. What else to say? Personally the guitar is a perfect fit for me and vibrates reassuringly against the body when I play. I wasn't sure I could afford this guitar, but now I know I cannot afford not to have it!
